  1. Forget about Tank; Kent Hull was a dominant player at his position. If any other Bill goes in, it needs to be him.
  2. I'm glad to see this nonsense isn't relegated to Beltway douchebags.
  3. Thanks for this thread. Wife and I are in the same boat, coming up for our first game to help Squish the Fish. Seats are in 120...we are JACKED!!
  4. Wife and I are making the trip up for the home opener. Do we need to buy parking passes before or can we wait until gameday? They are sold out on stubhub...any suggestions? we definitely want to tailgate, so I assume we're relegated to lots 1, 2, 3, 5, E, and F. Of these, which would you all suggest?thx!
  5. Yeah, with family who have attended UVA and lived near Charlottesville for the past two decades, I've got some working knowledge of the program. Kamara is reportedly a four-star, which is a boon for Mike London and his staff. Cavs have always depended on Virginia Beach/Tidewater recruits to make the wheels turn, and it looks like this kid is no different. Should be a good add for a team in desperate need of playmakers at the skill positions. I'm going to their game against Pitt on October 4; maybe Kamara will be on the field then.
  6. Hoping some of our Canadian brethren can chime in here, but as a stateside follower of the CFL, it seems like every franchise outside of Sask. and Calgary have experienced similar woes with regard to attendance, fan interest, even politics and stadium building (see Ti-Cats). Rogers Centre is terrible for football, bottom line, and that will never change. It took years for Montreal to get the Alouettes back...and now they are middle of the pack in terms of attendance. And speaking of cities who have lost franchises previously, it should be interesting to see the REDBLACKS home opener tonight in Ottawa.
  7. No, the new guy is not going to let this thread die a merciful death... Which is to say that, yes, I think it will be interesting to see how Williams responds. He went from being a high draft pick and the presumed "guy" in Tampa to being traded home. His locker room presence, or lack thereof, was cited as a reason for being shipped away from a team and organization full of malcontents. Hopefully Williams steps up and emerges as the veteran leader and presence he can be.
  8. For those of you interested in the spirits: http://buffalorising.com/2014/07/niagara-distilling-company-to-open-on-ellicott-street/ Another exciting story of adaptive re-use and new emerging business in town.
  9. Anyone in Erie give me a feeling for the fanbase direction, now that Manziel is in CLE? I know that area has been consistently divided between Steelers and Browns. Never understood this, given the closer proximity to RWS. Wish the organization could make some significant inroads...even if its just a billboard or two off I-90. Developing our regional fanbase into NW PA, NE Ohio is going to be important moving forward and growing our season ticket base, right?
  10. Most of the time, "enigmatic"=diva. Divas rarely produce consistently, with the exception of guys like T.O. and Chad Johnson. The last thing we need on a young, developing team are any divas. Good luck in San Fran, Stevie. You'll likely need it...
  11. The New York State outline is great; any plans for similar court design at Alumni Arena?
  12. With two strikes against me as a newbie and a non-Buffalonian, I would argue that anywhere but downtown/waterfront for the new stadium would be settling for second. Best regards, Captain Obvious
  13. Love it! Cant wait for the home opener...wife and I are driving up from D.C. for her first Bills game and my first home opener. Being a newbie on here, we'd love to meet some of you guys and gals and share a few cold ones!
