Bears hiring Matt Eberflus as HC
Captain Hindsight replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would you limit half of your potential hires? That seems very short sighted HC is such a different position than just offense or defense. Its about building a brand, a culture and a work environment for people to thrive. Top to bottom in the entire organization. It requires such a holistic thinking that IMO its more about the person than anything. Is this a guy who commands the room? Can he get people to buy in? Does he have a plan for this situation or that situation. Can he bring in good coaches? What are his connections in the league? Is he well respected? Thats why I don't get hung up on offense or defense. Get me a good coach that has a good plan of how to run an organization and the rest works itself out -

Based on the fact he has been an excellent coordinator and being promoted makes sense for a guy like him. Of course its a projection, but IMO, its a damn good one -

Denver hiring Nathaniel Hackett as HC

Maybe, but the Packers are about to be in cap hell. Denver is actually a great roster, just needs a QB If it gets him and Mahomes to beat each other up to earn the 3 seed, I'm all for it -

The year they went to the AFCCG they were like 5th in scoring, 6th in yards per game and 1st in rushing. With Blake Bortles! -

I don't think that makes him unqualified. Hell dealing with moody Rodgers is an accomplishment in it of itself -
Not picking on you in particular, but why do people think this? Fitz is a fun guy to root for, but what about him makes him a good coach? He was not a great teammate after Tua took his job. He doesn't have great fundamentals. He is hardly a technician of QBing. What makes Fitz "good" is his playing style and personality. Guys gravitate to him because he plays so hard and its a great dude. Could he be a good coach? Maybe, but just because he's been around for a long time doesn't mean he will be a good coach.

Do you want KC to cruise to the Super Bowl title?
Captain Hindsight replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall
A Jimmy G 99 yard scramble as time expires would be pretty hilarious -
Fitz made a comment last year that he doesnt like to go back to places hes already been. He's not coming back folks and his career may be over after that injury

It comes down to 2 things. 1) Mahomes is very good against the Blitz, both scrambling and throwing 2) Team speed. The Bills don't have the speed to match Hill, Hardman and Kelcie consistently

Quinn is a great and likeable guy which really helps. He did get his team to a super bowl and that won't go unnoticed

Sean Payton stepping down as the Saints coach
Captain Hindsight replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not so sure. Watching his presser, he looked tired, broken. I bet he gets a studio gig and enjoys it. -

Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
Captain Hindsight replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I tend to agree. The raiders the first game was a gift, and they only by 7. I think Bengals could win, but only if Henry isn’t who they expect him to be -
The Texans had a 24 point lead against the eventual SB champs and have won 8 games in two seasons since then. Their Franchise QB quit on the team, got in legal trouble. They don’t have any good players on that team and they are going to hire their former emergency QB as a HC because the job is so bad What a fall
