  1. Things are moving a lot faster these days. There could be a colony on Mars by 2030.
  2. The competition committee will talk about it at their next meeting and then table it and do nothing.
  3. I don’t like that they use the exactness of 10 yards with the chains but then the ball placement is based on the eyes of the refs. I don’t know how you get around that human involvement. There was the talk about putting some technology in the football to determine the position of the ball but that sounds like it could be complicated. You would have to analyze the data. If the ball did cross the goal line but after the whistle blew, you’d likely have to review the broadcast of the game as to when the whistle blew. It could however make it easier to determine where the ball is in the goal line pile ons. In Some of those goal line replays, I don’t know how the refs make that determination when you can’t see the ball.
  4. Yeah, I’m leaning towards agreeing with others here. It seems similar to the situation with Granato and the Sabres. He’s taken them as far as he can. Need someone ( dare I say Belichick?) who can come up with the game plans and game calls to get to the next level. I’m sure many of you, after 3 years, are still not over the 13 seconds game where he calls timeouts before each of the last 2 plays in regulation and they give up big plays. I’m not.
  5. Are they still called tweets, even though the idiot owner changed the company name to X? Figured he’d change that too.
  6. That was Patrick DiMarco. Chris DeMarco is an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors.
  7. I wonder if there’s anything to consider about the timing of this signing right after the rookie camp.
  8. You’re history! Mods, get ‘em’ out of here! #sarcasm
  9. Yeah, I admit I was a “wrong Josh” evaluator. It’s real funny to look back now, especially with Rosen claiming the picks ahead of him at 10 were “9 mistakes”. Seven of the 9 have been Pro Bowlers. Mr Rosen, where art thou?
  10. They have to work together. It would make no sense for the GM to draft guys the coach doesn’t like and/or that don’t the system well. Otherwise you have a Marronne /Whaley situation with the coach yelling out in front of everyone “Get me a freakin’ Quarterback!”
  11. That’s great that Bills has the number of the year the Bills started in the AFL.
  12. Ask Keegan Michael Key
  13. Yeah, while the Rooney Rule is a sham, giving a 3rd round pick to a team for hiring a minority goes too far the other way.
  14. Is that league still playing?
  15. But didn’t his wife post a ‘goodbye Buffalo’ tweet after the season?
  16. Maybe they needed more size for their off-season basketball rec league team.
  17. He did have 39 receptions for 611 yards last season.
  18. Boyd was a starting outside receiver before they drafted Higgins. As we get closer to July, only 2months away, the better chance that some of these guys will be willing to accept a 1 year deal for less.
  19. Yes, consider that Kincaid had 73 receptions in his rookie season. The “experts” claimed that tight ends usually take a couple years to be a factor. I believe we can expect more from him this season and he likely will be the leading receiver. Hopefully Brady will run plays for him over the middle and down the seam, as opposed to our previous OC having him run short outs and expecting him to get first downs with YAC.
  20. The more I read about Worthy, the more I liked him. He is said to be a better route runner than he was being credit for. He was more than just a fast deep threat like John Ross. However, with his small size, making it tough for him vs press coverage, he may be best suited for the slot. Unfortunately this team already had Shakir, C. Samuel as slot guys so they needed someone as an outside receiver. Adonai Mitchell seemed to be that guy with speed, but he dropped in the draft, apparently due to personality and attitude presented in interviews. I don’t know if Beane tried to move up for Brian Thomas, but with him being picked only a few picks before 28, it seems it might not have taken much to move up to say 22. So, they traded down twice to get a 3rd after giving there’s up in the Rasual Douglas deal. Now, is Beane telling us that, with the 28th pick, he felt there were enough WRs they liked that they felt they could move down and still get one? Worthy, Pearsall and Leggette were then taken before they picked Coleman. Did they have them all rated fairly even? I would’ve actually expected McConkey to be taken before Pearsall and Leggette so they valued Coleman over McConkey then. As many have said, I still don’t understand why they didn’t throw a dart at another WR over developmental O-Linemen. Then they only signed 2 as UFAs, neither of which is speedy. I just can’t believe that they’re happy with Coleman, Shakir, Samuel, Isabella, Hamler, Shorter and Shavers. I guess some of these guys may be better than having drafted one with a 5th round pick as most were with the team last year. I hope they know what they’re doing because right now I have my doubts.
