  1. It makes me wonder what Beane and his staff are doing during the season. SF gets one of the better RBs for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th while Baltimore gets LB Roquan Smith for a 2nd and 5th. Did the salary cap implications prevent them from pursuing such deals or were they not even aware of the possibilities? I know trading for Smith in mid season may have not made total sense with Edmunds still on the team but he would’ve been a big boost for the run defense. McCaffrey would’ve made an already good offense elite. Perhaps Cook and Kincaid will contribute towards that but it would’ve been nice adding a proven prime commodity.
  2. I recall seeing former WR coach Chad Hall sitting with Josh over the previous couple of years and showing him things on a tablet. He surprisingly made a lateral move to Jacksonville when his contract ended. We also shouldn’t overlook any prior contributions from Davis Webb, who is now the QB coach for Denver. In previous seasons, the QB room has included the likes of Webb, Barkley and Keenum and now has Josh’s mildly experienced Buddy in Kyle Allen and a young Buechele, who is new to the team.
  3. Having served on a jury a couple years ago, I would be very concerned to have my future determined by a group of “my peers”. In jury deliberations, discussing the believability of a young female witness, a fellow juror actually said this: ”I raised 2 daughters and I could tell if they were lying or not. They wouldn’t lie to me anyways. “
  4. I’m sick of his postgame ‘I have to be better’ and then he isn’t. Without a major change to coaching, I don’t see it being any different. He loves hero ball.
  5. It seemed that Daboll finally got thru to Josh the way he played in 2020 and ‘21. There was noticeable regression last season but hopefully this game was not an indication that he’s regressed back to his 1st couple of years.
  6. Yeah, it would take a lot of drive at 39 to go thru the rehab process to play again. He could just give back some money and go host a game show.
  7. FWIW, the Bills are 2-2 all time vs Rodgers, with both wins at home. Hoping we can take advantage of still developing sync with his receivers.
  8. Yeah, I wouldn’t believe the Bills fell for the “I was just sitting on it.” How’d you get out there?
  9. In my opinion, this can be a statement game for the Bills. With all the Jets hype, beating them in their stadium on MNF could be big. It would show that the Bills still own the division and, depending on the score, maybe put some doubt in the minds of the Jets. A Bills loss wouldn’t be as big of a deal for them, being 3-time division champions but would be a jolt for the Jets.
  10. C’mon, we know that if the Bills make it to the Super Bowl, the opponent will be Philadelphia to complete the NFC East set.
  11. I like it. When a team has Super Bowl aspirations, they should want their teammates to be there to help achieve their goals. To me, the “staying out of it” is BS!
  12. And let’s not forget Rodney Peete, Todd Marijuanavich, Pat Haden, Matt Cassel
  13. I’ll go to my urn not understanding the last 13 seconds game last play before the tying FG. They call timeout and then nobody picks up Kelce as he runs right between 2 defenders. Ugh!
  14. Damn Patriots got Matt Carroll off waivers. Bears re-signed Peterman and also signed Bill Murray.
  15. Bob Melvin with my A’s seemed to get overachieving by some nobodies. Now he has all that talent and they’re under .500. Are fans calling for his head?
  16. Yeah, I started in ‘81. Drafts were all in person. If someone couldn’t make it, either he provided a hand written list beforehand or was on the phone and there were no cell phones back then. You usually had to wait for snail mail to get the results. We kept scoring very basic back then with just TDs. Later added bonuses for like 100 yd rushing/receiving and 300 yd passing. Dan Marino screwed things up as whoever got the first pick took him and usually won the league. I think that may have been the start of the 4 pt Passing TDs.
  17. That gave me a flashback to an episode of MASH where Pierce starts an exchange where they all nod and say “Captain!” Captain!”
  18. Yeah, they were all banging on the door willing to sign for the minimum
  19. Over half a Mil to sit on IR and not play. What a life! Damn my genes!
  20. Sounds like the description of Josh before he rose to his current level.
  21. Definitely not a “process” guy. Doesn’t take coaching advice and teammates don’t like him.
  22. Hey, Carson Wentz is still out there!
