  1. That has been the case since at least 2001…it will never change.
  2. Mitch is a decent back-up, but more importantly, the quality of our o-line gives us a pretty high floor if Josh ever has to miss time.
  3. Yeah, TJ is smallish and at this stage of his career he can’t be counted on to stay healthy. Definitely need a quality back-up at slot corner…
  4. Joe Marino will be pumped…
  5. I think they may let McGovern walk. He will be expensive, and the Bills love their young o-line depth, with good reason.
  6. I do think it’s possible the Bills extend him for 3 years/$30 million, or something like that. Cook would be wise to take that deal.
  7. Cook is not going to be traded this year. He’ll either sign an extension or play out the season and become a FA (and get us a comp pick).
  8. Yeah, Max was probably not going to start week 1, regardless. The injury sets him back in terms of contributing later in the year…
  9. He’s the only Buffalo Bills player in franchise history who was unquestionably the best player in the NFL during his prime.
  10. In an era where these guys barely hit anyone in training camp, and the entire purpose of the preseason now seems to be to stay healthy, the number of injuries is really unbelievable. I doubt you could have this many injuries if guys were in pads, running suicide drills in two-a-day practices.
  11. I believe the Bills passed for less than 1000 yards that year. Incredible.
  12. Thanks! These guys arrived in WNY a year before I did…Chef’s Restaurant! Good to know it’s still around…
  13. Yes, and we also have outstanding OT depth, with Grable and VanDemark…Brown is the least of our injury concerns.
  14. The five starting o-linemen missed only one game last year. And really not many offensive skill position injuries either…Cooper, Coleman and Kincaid missed a few games, but that’s it. Almost unprecedented.
  15. Fare enough…
  16. Fair enough…Glover’s been gone for a while and my memory of him is faded…
  17. It’s amazing how many first round slots have generated only one or fewer hall of fame players after all these years (by my count, at least eight). To my eye, the third round looks stronger than round two, but I didn’t do a close comparison. One other Bills pick that should have made the list: Wyatt Teller (166) over Leroi Glover. Teller picked by Beane the same year as Josh Allen…
  18. You forgot Larry Centers (115) who had two very good seasons for the Bills during the darkest years of the drought.
  19. It depends who the substitute QB is. If Allen goes down and Mitch Trubisky plays the whole season, it’s a different answer than plugging in a lower level NFL starter, like say Geno Smith or Brock Purdy. With those guys, 11 wins is possible. The Bills’ o-line is top 5, maybe top 2 or 3, in the NFL, and that raises the floor considerably…
  20. As far as off season thread topics go, this one is in the top 10%…
  21. That’s just not true
  22. LOL, they were basketball players
  23. Wait, you’re not suggesting that Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez (or Vernon Davis, for that matter) ever blocked anyone, are you?
  24. Know what’s really funny about Kyle Pitts? The players who the Falcons could have taken instead of him…to name a few, Jamar Chase, Penei Sewell, Pat Surtain, Micah Parsons…a truly abysmal draft pick, and a perfect example of why the Falcons are an utterly irrelevant NFL franchise.
