Bills to workout WRs Preston Williams, Marcell Ateman
Chandler#81 replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall
No one, least of all Beane, cares that you don’t like 1 year rentals. We’re not doing anything different that many good teams do these days. Would you be more willing to give him ‘a pass’ if he signed DTs to long term contracts and didn’t make the playoffs? 🤦♂️ Its 2023. Get with the times. There’s maybe 8-10 All Pro worthy DTs. Maybe. They’re akin to RBs in todays game. -

Ross Tucker ranks NFL Coach’s, places McDermott at #22.

Yep. Lost a lot of respect for Ross, but McDermott DOES suck in playoff games. 😡🤷♂️ -
A rare excellent thread with insightful takes. Well done, Waller’s! I’ll go another route and focus on year 2 with Aaron Kromer as OL coach. He’s been handed a much improved stable of new, established vets, vets returning from serious injury and Draft picks and UDFA’s to try to blend in with Morse & Dawkins. He’s now intimately familiar with team chemistry, Offensive coaching staff and how our enigma QB operates. Who he chooses and where to play them and when will be the catalyst of our Offense this season.

NO ONE would trade for him as a current member of the Cards. Smart? Eh.. He’s not a moron, but not trading for DHop still under contract isn’t a gauge of being smart. -

I completely agree. After seeing ZERO League champions since we shut out the Chargers in back to back AFL championships, I want/need/can’t die until we win a Vince Lombardi Trophy. If it means the team completely dissolves immediately following the Downtown Super Bowl Parade, oh well🤷♂️ We’ll own a Lombardi and every member of the team and staff will never pay for another drink again. GET IT DONE! -

The article says he hired his lawyer -which could mean his BM. You still may be correct, imo. Agent/BM/Lawyer? Gobbledegook jargon. The guy is his representative. -

The other one was a wish list that would never materialize. That salary is ridiculous. ‘’Now he’s available to anyone he wants to join up with on a creative deal. I say close the other thread thread for all time. -

Actually, it’s up to Terry Pegula to make the financials work. While I’m no expert on what the NFL allows in contract terminology, a huge part of what we could offer would have to be upfront ca$h. A signing ‘bonus’ as it were. IF Josh were to go to Terry and say ‘Sir, I would really love to have this now available Player come to the Bills’ it could happen. -

Oh please. He was a ‘gofer’ for Dabol and the (double quote) QBs coach. I have no confidence he’ll be able to scheme Kincaid effectively as he never played with a good Tight End, never created plays for one so he’s fully devoid of what can be done with a talent like this. Our Offense was so crappy and unimaginable by the 2nd half of the season, it became ‘Just let Josh be Josh’. I’d throw my laptop too! -
The reason you’re not as worried as I am is because I’m not worried.🤷♂️ We have Josh Allen whose passing exploits are otherworldly and he runs like a Mack truck. Screw RBs. They’re quickly becoming obsolete and certainly not worthy of any huge contracts. It’s merely a ruse to keep DL from pinning their ears back every single play.

Certainly the ranking of newbies is stupid. The ‘fair assessment I’m talking about is the issues we’ve all witnessed Sean has regarding conservatism, clock mgmt and coaching in big games. -

[your question was Why is Dorsey the OC] Try to remember what you type. I realize it’s a significant challenge for you.. 🤷♂️ -
Yes, he’s been a Bill-killer in the past and possess traits we think we’d all love to have. But there is no level of consistency in his game. He alludes to this as well, referencing his best games as a pro. He was available because NE* didn’t want to pay him. He’s a different type of runner but nothing to hang your hat on. I’m already rueing losing Motor. Color me skeptical.

^. ^ simple answer that anyone who follows the team can tell you. Dorsey is OC because Josh wanted him to be. Beginning and end of discussion.
