3rd of 4 Out of Conference games against their best Division. We’re currently 2-0. Cards are an up & comer but they lost to Miami last week, making it more important to win today. We’re depleted (Covid-19 & injuries) and I fear a ‘run for the ‘Bye Bus’ performance McDermott alluded to in his post game locker room speech. Arizona allows fans and their real field on a transporting trolley is something to behold. I hope so. Kyler presents uniques challenges which require spying and their WRs are excellent.

I’m so old.. I remember when it 1st aired. Boxing, soccer and Austrian Rules football ruled the night airwaves. Sportscenter was absolutely Must See TV for sports fans thirsting for coverage! Everything they did turned Gold. I’m so old, when I was in school there was no history class. 🤷‍♂️

The following season was just the Redskins year. Everything went right for them, then our DL coach mocked the Hogs fueling their anger. The following year the young Dallas super team was done with growing pains and shredded the League. If there was any evidence of a ‘Wide Right’ hangover, it was the following year where we came out guns blazing to Right the Wrongs in our swan song appearance. Thurman’s early 3rd Quarter fumble being returned for a TD shouldn’t have had such a deflating effect. From that point on, the Bills no longer felt they could win moreso than Dallas being propelled to come back. We were clearly the best the AFC offered during that time but the NFC had multiple powerhouses. So much so, we never played San Francisco in a Super Bowl but they were Perennial Super Bowl contenders, winning the 2 previous ones then returning soon for another title after our run was over.

A little deviation from our hectic current season. For guys like me (read OLD) who’ve been with the club from the beginning and saw them at War Memorial Stadium (read Rockpile), these cherished memories will ride with us to our final conscious thought. I count myself fortunate to have had my own season tickets from ‘87 through ‘95 -when I moved to Florida. Paul Macguire on teammate Booth Lustig getting beat up on Delaware Ave when 4 guys jumped out of a car for missing a game winning FG: “he shoulda made the kick”🤣

Problem as I see it though, is play action is most successful when an offense has proven its effectiveness running the ball. Thus, fake what they’re anticipating, slow the pass rush a second and throw over top of them. Just because Pete Carroll doesn’t have a clue doesn’t mean every football team from the League -& WNY High Schools, for that matter- don’t get it. If ‘your team’ only runs 5X in a half, I’m comin’ after yer QB EVERY DAMN PLAY! Run be damned. I don’t get it🤷‍♂️
