One could argue that his trade value decreases by the day.

Am I the only one who initially thought the Vikings had traded with us for Hyde?

Whatever makes you feel better.

How many more full injury-free seasons does Tua have to get through before we can drop the "oft-injured" label?

You mean the D that managed to lose to both Mac Jones and Zach Wilson in the same season?

Bills DL.......how many come back to the Bills on 1 year contracts??
Rubes replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unrealistic and silly but I do think Von is going to be better this year, and I really really want to see him at full speed opposite Floyd. Pipe dream, though. -
Well, I guess that's true for me, too, then...

Damn, that's almost half of my life. That would be fun to make it back for...

Who Would You Trade Up For, And How Far Would You Go Up To Get Them?
Rubes replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I meant basically either Thomas or Mitchell as the 2nd tier guys. I agree that Legette and Worthy are tougher to envision being in that group, and that Beane would probably only take them if they drop down to him at 28—unless there's someone else he covets who dropped down to him. -

One of the issues to bear in mind is that most teams know we're looking hard at WR in the 1st round, so if any of those 2nd-tier guys slip into the 20s, other interested teams will be looking to leapfrog us. Thinking any of them would drop to us at 28 is probably a very risky move. That's why I agree with @Alphadawg7 that if any of them make it to the 20s, we'll probably make a small move up to get one of them. -
Perhaps, but I also have PTSD from watching opposing teams run all over us and our DL going missing at key moments.

Not to be picky, but to clarify: salary money, as far as I understand it, is only charged to the cap during the year that the salary is earned (ie, when the player plays). Salary is basically for playing time; bonuses are extra and don’t have to be counted in the year the player plays—they are spread out over the life of the contract. So you don’t put salary money into void years, because the player is not playing during the void years. Void years are only for bonus money, and for the purpose of spreading out the bonus money over more years, lessening each year’s cap hit but extending the cap hit over more years. This is one reason you often hear salary money being converted into bonus money—it lowers the salary cap hit for that year, so that more of the player’s earnings is bonus money, which can then be spread out over more years. Adding void years allows you to then spread it out over even more years.

Dion Dawkins doesn’t like the Jets DL very much

Is it your goal to get the JA grocery bags into as many threads as possible? -
Unpopular? Bills really screwed the pooch by trading the Mahomes pick. Not because I don't like Josh...I absolutely *love* Josh and I don't want anyone else at QB for us. But passing on Mahomes and gifting him to the Chiefs not only means they passed on the best QB of this generation, but also gifted him to an AFC rival that will keep us out of the Super Bowl for the entirety of his career. Nevertheless, I still love having Josh as our QB, despite the implications.

An interesting format to evaluate the Bills foundation

The problem with a system like this is that the different colors are not exclusive enough. Someone can be good and an age/injury concern at the same time. Someone can be young and unproven and also good. -
Bills official offseason Cap moves thread.
Rubes replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you’re right about Tre. It’s tough, because we all love him and how he has been a great rep for the team. But if you take emotion out of it, keeping him around doesn’t make a lot of sense for the future of the team. Coming back from an Achilles injury is not easy. It takes a lot of time, and his chances of getting back to his old level of play are not good. Especially when you consider his position is one that requires top speed and cutting ability, neither of which he’ll likely have back anytime soon. Certainly not likely next season. If the Bills weren’t in such terrible cap shape, then maybe I can see them working something out. Given the way things are, I just don’t see it. And that sucks. -
I can't stand hearing the Shout song. I mean, I like hearing it because it means we scored, but yeah, I can't stand listening to it.

I came to post my response, then I found yours, which is exactly how I feel.

Bills Open With 4th Best Odds to Win Super Bowl Next Season

I agree, I would just add that the special teams in general needs to get their ***** straight, not just Bass. -
I mean, it's not like he wasn't mentioned on the first page or anything... 😉
