How can a guy most likely to end up on the practice squad be overrated? All it means is that the Bills prefer a veteran practice squad QB over a rookie.

Nobody would ever offer that much for Keenum on the final year of his contract. He went for a 7th. The NFL isn't like the movie Draft Day. To put this in perspective, if someone had offered Cleveland a 6th, they wouldn't have sent him to the Bills for a 7th. Same story like last year when some were saying trade Mitch for a #1 if offered-Nobody offered.

For whatever reason, Elway wasn't interested in drafting a QB before the draft even began. It's been reported and verified by Beane that Denver and the Bills had a deal in place to trade pick 5 to the Bills. That trade was agreed on before the draft. The only deal breaker was if Bradley Chubb was available. He was and the deal was called off. While it was never verified by the Bills, the leaked Bills QB board had the trade written on it with the Bills willing to move up to 5 for any of their top 3 rated QBs: 1)Allen 2)Darnold 3) Mayfield. The Bills lucked out and got their top guy at 7 after the Denver trade fell through.

Schefter and Mortensen also cited unnamed sources that one of the significant allegations is an incident during the summer of 2013 when Incognito got Martin to contribute $15,000 to help finance a trip to Las Vegas by a group of Dolphins, even though Martin preferred not to, "fearing the consequences if he did not hand over the money."[54] On November 3, Mike Garafolo reported on Fox Sports 1 that Incognito is alleged to have sent Martin threatening and racially charged messages. The investigation concluded that Incognito, and to a lesser extent fellow offensive linemen John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, bullied Martin, yet another (unnamed) Dolphins offensive lineman, and also a Dolphins staff member, an unnamed assistant trainer.[65][66] The report also concluded that Incognito, Jerry, and Pouncey made severe racial slurs towards the assistant trainer, and Incognito and Jerry even taunted him by saying that they had sex with his girlfriend. On December 7, 2012, the anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey donned traditional Japanese headbands featuring a rising sun emblem (which the assistant trainer had given them) and jokingly threatened to harm the assistant trainer physically in retaliation for the Pearl Harbor attack. The assistant trainer, who is from Japan, confided in Martin that he was upset about the Pearl Harbor comments, finding them derogatory toward his heritage.[67] Further, the report concluded regarding Martin's "mental health problems, alcohol and drug use and... concerns about poor performance on the field" that "his text messages and other evidence demonstrate that these are real factors, not issues Incognito has manufactured out of whole cloth."[68] The report noted a published newspaper report regarding Martin's difficulties with the position change the Dolphins made with him days before he left the team and alleged harassment. We're not that innocent. I remember Reggie Rogers going from prison to Bills camp. Just a few years ago we had Richie Incognito who had quite a bad reputation before he came here. I didn't see fans leaving when Richie was our starting LG. The Bills have given guys a "second chance" on more than one occasion and they still kept the fan base.

I could never switch teams because of one player. OJ is still on the wall of the stadium and Bennett raped a woman. Our team has had some bad guys too over the years. Also to those of us who have attended many games how can you switch teams so easily? I doubt this is coming from dog pound ticket holders. It's a lot easier for people who sit home and have rarely attended a game to jump on and off bandwagons, but I can't see lifelong fans of a team who have been to a bunch of games over the years just dropping their support over one guy who they were there before he came and as long as they are young enough and in good health stand a good chance of being there after he's long gone.

I bet $950 on the Bills to win the AFC in February at 4.25 to 1 so that if the Bills win the AFC I've got most if not all of my Super Bowl ticket paid for. I call it Super Bowl insurance. He was with the team 5 weeks when he played so poorly in the season finale when they ran the 2 QB sneaks inside their own 10 rather than let him try for a 1st down. That's a lot more time than what you are saying. He was only the Covid QB as a rookie. His 2nd season he was on the practice squad until the Giants signed him.

I watched him in both games, the 1st one a little & the 2nd the whole game since it didn't conflict with the Bills game. The 1st one was so bad that the next week when Glennon was horrible they never put Fromm in. The 2nd game he started because Glennon was injured & couldn't play. He was so bad that at one point the Giants ran the ball on 2nd & 3rd down deep in their own territory deciding to play for the punt rather than let him even try to get a 1st down by throwing the ball. Fromm is not a NFL QB & has no business ever playing another down. There is zero reason to bring him back. I'd rather bring back Matt Barkley than Fromm.

Even though there are a lot of people who rely on stats who say Josh didn't have a good rookie year, Foster is evidence that even as a rookie, Josh makes every receiver that he plays with look better than the guy actually is.

If you spend too much on 1 position, you create holes that you can't fill in others. The smart thing to do if you feel you need another receiver is to draft one who will be on a rookie contract. The dumb thing to do is to obtain a player at a position you already have a #1 in when the player you acquire is on the last year of his contract & you're going to have to pay him around $20 million on his next contract. This is especially dumb if you're spending a 1 or 2 on him because you're either paying him top dollar or losing him after 1 season. it's even worse when you have players of your own that you will have to extend or lose in the next year or 2-the exact position the Bills are in with Knox, Diggs and others. Anyone who would compare acquiring Metcalf to the Diggs trade needs to realize that Diggs came with a pretty good contract & Metcalf would come in on the last year of his deal & be expecting future mega-bucks pretty soon. If some of the people on this board run their own finances like they would like the Bills to run theirs, they are probably either broke, in huge credit card debt, or both. You can't run an organization like a fan who every time he sees a big name player wants him on his team regardless of the cap.

It was big for Watkins and Kelce but that was it. Mahomes was on a rookie contract with a cap hit in the low $4 million range. That is very different than the Bills cap situation for the next 2 to 3 seasons with our #1 WR up for a contract extension and our QB at franchise QB salary. That's what's real, go back and compare the 2019 Chiefs payroll with the Bills current and needed future cap $ which will also have the Bills having to pay a TE a lot in 2023 or earlier. You have no credibility trying to compare KC's 2019 salaries to the current Bills and having the audacity to endorse a ridiculous acquisition of WR who wouldn't even be the Bills #1 with more important spots to fill. He also drafted a HOF punter in the 1st round who, like the PK, lasted a lot longer than most of the other 1st round picks that year.
