  1. Coaching experience matters a lot more in football than in baseball.
  2. The predictions in this thread are interesting. For one, I don’t think any other fan base in the NFL would have as many people pick against their own team as the Bills. And I’m right there with you all. I have a hard time trusting this team because of a lifetime of disappointment. Secondly, fans and analysts want certainty. They want to analyse matchups and players and predict the outcome. Both games yesterday show that you can’t really do that in the NFL. People will blame Tannehill because of the three INTs on the stat sheet, but that game ending interception hit the receiver right in the hands and popped straight up. And SF won on a blocked punt in the snow. It just goes to show that winning a SB requires a good deal of luck. All they being said, my picks for today Rams- that pass rush is just too much for Brady to handle with a hobbled OL Bills- what do I get for picking against them? I will say that I would never bet on this game because I just don’t know.
  3. But how many of those instances were teams that beat the Chiefs pre-Mahomes and then lost to Tom Brady in New England?
  4. Very true, but also by my rough estimation looking at the video above Josh's ball gets there a full second faster. Mac's took three mississippis and Josh's took two mississippis.
  5. That PI on Cincinnati to keep the last Raiders drive alive was a pretty big call.
  6. Players get used to it. Aaron Rodgers is a California guy who played at Cal. Joe Namath and Bart Star were both Alabama kids who played for the Tide.
  7. I live in Cincinnati. If the Bengals win it will be their first playoff win since 1990. They have been in position to win PO games so many times and then self-destructed or were unlucky. I think their drought ends today.
  8. Probably made in the lead-up to the 2018 draft.
  9. Both Alabama and Georgia have tremendous marching bands. I would have. rather seen them as a half time show.
  10. We didn’t make the playoffs for 18 straight years. Any day when we we clinch a playoff spot is a good day. Could the Bills have played better? Of course. But this year is not the start of another drought so it’s all good in my opinion.
  11. They are talking about it in the other threads. They are gaming out the scenarios that have them making the playoffs. All of them require winning out, plus a lot of other things. They think they’re beating the Bills easily because we suck at home. In general, the place reads like this place during the drought years.
  12. This crew calls everything, but misses that? BTW, this is a fun game to watch.
  13. I’ll call my shot right now. This Bills team won’t lose again in the regular season.
  14. The takeaway here is that the salary cap is finally doing it’s job. The Steelers beat Baltimore last week and are now losing to the Vikings. The Bengals blew out Pittsburgh and Baltimore and the. lost to the Jets and Browns. There are no dominant teams.
  15. And they had so many f-ing chances to make that play. It reminded me of the Rams game last year, except this time we didn't get bailed out by a last-second DPI call.
  16. I remember hearing that game in my mother's car on the way to Rochester to see my Grandmother for Thanksgiving. I was 7.
  17. You can't predict anything this year. It really is a week to week league. Look at the Bengals. One week they blow out the Ravens in Baltimore. The next two weeks they lost to the Jets and got stomped by the Browns. Then, after the bye they kill the Steelers and get hammered by the Chargers. None of those results are what people would have predicted based upon past results.
  18. For the most part, fans don't enjoy watching their football teams play. It's more a combination of a greek tragedy and torture. Our gameday thread for the Colts game looked exactly like this:
  19. They need to do something about the timing of college football coaching changes. No coach coach quits on his team on the eve of the NCAA basketball tournament, but there is a very real chance that Luke Fickle will do just this. Brian Kelly did this to Cincinnati when he took the ND job. Just imaging an NFL coach taking another job just before their team is scheduled to play a playoff game. I’m not much of a college football fan but I do follow OSU and UC because I live in Cincinnati. I have no problem with Fickle taking that ND job, but UC should get to play their likely playoff game first.
