  1. I agree, I didn't know Maybin's carrer was in life support.
  2. “Defensively, we will start from a 3-4 alignment,” said Edwards. “But we will do what we feel is best for our players. We are not going to give anything away about exactly what we will do, but personnel will dictate what you can and what you can’t do. As far as the initial alignment, the 3-4 is what we will start off with and we will adjust from there.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...c4-74e731938c0e
  3. If you were sick of the CB 10 yard cushion and conservative bend and don't break defense then you would be sicker if Cottrell is our next DC. Hell of a guy, his players loved him but if you want and attacking D he's not the guy for the job. But that is not the worst part, the last couple of years he has been DC, with arguably talented players, he couldn't get the job done even with that brand of defense. I would be disapointed if he's named DC.
  4. I'm glad he's on my team and hopefully he gives a little more thought on his retirement. To those who can't appreciate him or can't see how good he is, go boil an egg.
  5. Lee Evans would be in the Hall of fame if he was in that team. Schobel Evans Stroud Williams Kyle Florence or McGee
  6. I was screaming for Brandon Albert that day. I couldn't (still can't) see the logic behind the McKelvin pick. We had tons of CBs that year and as usual very poor depth on the OL.
  7. Excellent edition work.
  8. Great post icblanco22. Thanks for your insight and inside knowledge of Gailey. I was going to point out that he may not have developed QBs but he got the best of them in terms of productivity.
  9. What I think people is missing with the last two hot coordinators we hired is that they both worked for a micromanager in Tom Donahoe. Whatever hot assistant we bring will work hand in hand with Buddy Nix trying to build the roster through the draft. Another thing, if Nix brings an assistant he will make sure that the staff he brings with him is a good one. He won't be content with just bringing a guy for the heck of bringing him on board, he wil want to know who Frazier has in mind for his OC and DC and that applies to RIvera and Schotty Jr.
  10. Great post Mr. Rich.
  11. Coach Sal is back, if you click on the link on the first post you can watch the show live.
  12. First, a great quote from a NE fan from the article: "As a Patriots fan I would be relieved! He's one of the toughest guys (tougher than Dwight Freeny has been) on Tom Brady around. He had a pick 6 against the Pats on opening night and almost took Tom's knee out this past weekend. It didn't look like he's slowed down to me. Actually, I would miss seeing him play the Pats. He's been a very tough competetor and is vastly under-rated. If he does quit-I wish him a happy, prosperous retiremnet." Second, he was a great player for us and the one time he was injured and missed ample playing time (not slowed down with a minor injury) this team suffered a great deal to get to the QB. He's the best player we have on the DL and, wheter you like him or not, he make players around him better. He's a guy that tells it like it is, he doesn't say much but when he does, it's not your common player speech. He doens't give great interviews and he doesn't run to the fences and smile if he has to give autographs, big deal, when he's on the field he gives 100% effort and that is the only thing you can expect from a player. Check this quote from the article: “Obviously, the injuries have killed us in a lot of positions. I don’t know. I have my opinion, but it’s my opinion and I’ll leave it that.” I for one would lover for you, JW, to try get that response, if you can and if he is willing to give it, of course. The new direction of the team will determine if he will continue as a Bill, maybe the coaches should ease him in the rotation. This is a guy that has played, it seems to me at least, 90% of the snaps on every game he has dressed. As he said, he's slowing down so having him as a pass rusher specialist wouldn't be a bad option at this point. This team will be worse without him in the line-up, I have no doubt about that. If you reitre Aaron, thanks for the great moments and thanks for your continous effort to give this team and the fans your best. Go Bills!
  13. For the reasons you mentioned above they aren't closer to the playoffs than we are, add to that, they are in a more competitive division. Eagles, Cowboys and Giants have solid teams, now and for the next couple of years. Even with Allen on board it will be difficult for the Redskins to compete with them. If the Bills could land a good offensive minded coach and if he surrounds himself with good assistants this team could make the playoffs next year. Granted there are a couple of pieces missing but it's something that it can be done. This team has some talent. Go Bills!
  14. According to some sources, it wasn't his fault. No link yet.
  15. The Bledsoe apologists were annoying but I couldn't vote for them because some of that fanbase were bandwagon fans from NE. The Peters fans had a reason to be upset, so I'm cool with them. The JP fanboys annoys me the most because they're 100% blind, stubborn bills fans. And I agree with youngunz, JP fanboys/Trent haters are synonymous.
  16. That has been a problem for us, no need to cut him if he's not the starter. You keep him for depth, as we should have kept Walker for depth at least for this year instead of cutting him. He couldn't run the no-huddle offense? Well, it seems the team couldn't run it, either.
  17. I've seen a couple of Gators games and I can see why people would doubt transitioning his game to the NFL He's a great leader, makes things happen on the field and has solid arm strenght. He could be drafted in the first round but if the team that drafts him throws the guy into the field inmediately he could fail miserably. This is a guy that you keep on the bench for at least two years, you design a couple of plays for him here and there but you don't make him your starting QB. If he plays in the pros like he plays in College, he'll likely concussed away from the league. And if he is thrown into the field his first year it better be with a great coaching staff that can protect him and his flaws with good gameplanning and great running game. It will be interesting to see how this pans out for him.
  18. Maybe he sucks and the concussion has nothing to do with his regression, though, I disagree, I have to respect people's opinion. When you say people I hope you include non Bills fans. I do check from time to time the KFFL boards to get a pulse on other teams fans and they were all saying at the time that he should be considered MVP for those 6 first games in 2008. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that in some posts. They all said the team looked a lot better with his command. We can all agreet that, even if you liked the guy, he's likely done here in Buffalo.
  19. Good call, it didn't happen yesterday, but I kept my faith.
  20. My guess is McIntyre. I think he is injured too.
  21. It has to be coaching, right? the only difference for Kelsay this year is his positional coach. Now, if Kelsay is playing like this with better coaching, imaging what this team could accomplish with a better overall coaching staff. It's that simple.
  22. I think that award goes to Winfield. But I agree with you that Greer was a very good CB, I would have resigned him, that way we wouldn't have been forced to draft McKelvin in the first round that year.
  23. a lowlife Jet fan scumbag would do that.
