  1. I'm not saying I don't like the idea, but those are very similar to Josh Reed's numbers (but I bet he has more TDs), couple with his age, what kind of contract would you throw at him?
  2. I bet is Fred Robbins.
  3. That can't be good for the bunnies
  4. But would it be a joyfull crash or a violent, lynch mob kind of crash?
  5. If they bring him to play LB I would think about it, I bet he is more heavy than Ellison. As a SS, in our sh------- system, he won't be effective, he is a liability in coverage.
  6. We should keep him on the bench, he's a good emergency back-up. He can come in and be solid but I don't see him as a long term solution.
  7. Maybe the front office tried to be fair to him and contacted as many FA possible but maybe those said FA didn't want to play for a coach, in what it seems from the outside, in the hot seat.
  8. or CBs are to us.
  9. good point, but he was the captain when he was the starter. Once he was benched Trent was it.
  10. Losman was a captain too..........
  11. About Wilson, I can't comment, because I don't follow the Raiders, I heard a couple of great things about him, but being a FA tend to do that. Every player is great. About Crowder, I can't remember a single play he made against us. Positive or negative. He's must be a steady, solid player, but hardly spectacular.
  12. I noticed him the first game he played in preseason. I really liked what I saw. I think the tools are there, he just needs a little more strenght, as you say.
  13. Don't be suprised if we draft him at #11. He's that elusive 3 technique DT that the Tampon 2 desperately needs to be effective.
  14. WR Crabtree "Texas Tech wideout Michael Crabtree, who was listed by his school at 6-foot-3, measured nearly two inches below that at 6-1 3/8. That, by far, was the biggest differential in height of those measured over the last two days" http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/02/20/crabtree-d...ite-measure-up/
  15. kffl.com or theredzone.org are other choices.
  16. I voted Everett Brown if we stay put, but if Raji is available he's the pick. However, I would try to trade down with a team in need of an offensive tackle, like Philadelphia and select Perria Jerry or Michael Johnson.
  17. I disagree, you need pure talent at NT for this defense to function, overall these guys don't rack up lots of stats but they are the big reason their teammates are able to make plays. Then you need stout guys at DE that can hold their ground. Casey Hampton is one of the main reasons this defense is that good. Keisel and Smith are his DEs, solid but unspectacular. Jamaal Williams for the Chargers, too, though the last couple of years he has been battling some injuries, he along Hampton are two of the best. Castillo and Olshanky are the DEs. Vince Wilfork for the Patriots, he along two other first rounders are the reason why they can plug anyone behind them and still make plays. Jarvis Green has been making plays for them at DE, very underrated player. Haloti Ngata is elite, without him Ray Lewis was constantly blocked by a lineman. He implored his FO and coaches to address the situation and they drafted Ngata. Jason Fergusson, while he's not elite he is a big reason for Miami's defense turnaround. The Jets didn't have the talent with Robertson, this year they brought Jenkins and that defense imroved a lot, but because he's not a pure NT that defense faded away at the end of the year. Other than Ferguson those guys were drafted in the early rounds. Williams was picked on the 2nd round of the 1998 supplemental draft, Hampton, Wilfork and Ngata were drafted in the first round. If you don't have a good NT it's not an easy defense to build. But still I like this defense better than the 4-3 defense.
  18. I thought the Steeler CB (inside left) should have stayed with Fitz and let Polamalu follow his man going to the sidelines. If a pass was going to be complete, to either Fitz or to the other WR (on the out route) it would have been a big gain but not a TD.
  19. I loved his hustle on the Harrison pick, he almost made the tackle at the end, great effort by him. But, yeah, he looked bad at times. Not an easy task going one on one as much as he did last night against Harrison.
  20. Hey, I hate the Tampa 2, it's not suited for our climate and you have to scout hard to get the players it needs. I loved our 3-4 defense with Big Ted in the middle being the main clog, what I didn't like was Cottrell's conservatism, that defense was tough as hell but it was a bend and don't brake defense. I always thought he had the horses to try and be a little bit more agressive at times.
  21. But Bill, they can't stop the run! People here want the next Bruce Smith, me too, but it isn't gonna happen. It's very rare to see a 280 pounds DE that can play great rushing the passer as well as stopping the run. Football, in the trenches, is about leverage, hand placement and wanting it more than the opposition.
  22. Cassel = Trednut?
  23. Bills fan born and raised in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
