I think he already is a solid starter, so the next step would be....?? Playmaker?? Star player?? Or whatever adjective of your preference.

This is the kind of BS I hate from fans. Why do you have to tells lies trying to be witty with a guy you don't like? Reading this post I went to the watch that play and Whitner did none of what you posted after the hit. What is your point? You don't like him? Fair, but don't spread BS so that the people that didn't watch the game run with his BS and spread it some more elsewhere.

It was the first game of the era, it was not going to be perfect. I'm a little dissapointed at the body language of the entire team though, I thought they were going to be a little more fired up. Maybe they were tired as Theisman said at one point in the broadcast. I liked how the game started but it went downhill after the first Skins TD.

Not at all, I understand what he was trying to say, but not many people will agree with him.

At least the trade this "RB" for this or that will stop now. -

I think I will be very happy when Chambers isn't part of this team anymore. -

I guess the refs are in mid season form against us. -
Don't be silly, it was the part that said Bryan Scott, the starting FS, had to move to LB because of injuries. I read all of it and it has a little flare for the dramatic and judges every move to this day as negative, you know, wrong GM, wrong coach, wrong systems, even though he praises Gailey for being adaptable, he is you know, Chan Gialey, unatractive name. Mana from heaven if you're negative about this team.

My Camp Report for Tuesday 8/10

Thanks for the report Successor of Buddy Nix. I can't wait to see this team against Washington. Playcalling, rookies, the offense, everything. -
Forget The Typical Way Of Approaching Pre-Season
Fixxxer replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, we should do like the Packers did last year on defense. Being their first year in a 3-4 they went out like crazy mammals, with blitz packages and schit. It's football, smack the other team around. -
why I am not so worried about LT situation
Fixxxer replied to PJBrown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is your opinion and belief, I gently disagree. Not everything is painted black, and the future is neither black or white, good or bad, it is just uncertain and I would not dare, for better or worse, to speculate about it at this point. -
Don't forget that in that division you probably don't have to do too much to have a good season.

and about Bellichick, he's not winning more championships, that is true, but the guy will still field a competitive team, and probably win 10 games a year, because he knows what he's looking for. -

I just wanted to make clear that the Dolphins and Jets had the turnaround they had or are viewed as good/solid teams because they changed their attitude, from top to bottom. From FO to the janitor. They found their identity, that is why they believe what they are trying to do. Should I consider Calvin Pace, Litio Sheppard, Jim Leonhard, Marques Douglas, star players? I'm confused if that is what you tried to imply. Granted, they're solid players but the playmakers on that defense are Revis, Jenkins and maybe Harris, he's still developing, he is a good one. One thing is certain about the Jets they have a damn good OL, that is for sure. I don't see the dolphins roster as, wow, what a bunch of talented guys, sure Long is amazing, Carey when fosused can dominate, but he doesn't. Ronnie Brown and Ricky are a nice combo, Bess is clutch. But I don't consider Ayodele or Crowder better than Mitchell or Poz. Bell is a nice player but we have at least two players equally talented or more. If don't feel threatened by their roster. Bottom line, I feel we don't have the worst roster in the NFL, we have very good players accross the board waiting to find a direction, a purpose, will Gailey and Nix deliver? Who knows, so far so good. I would have done some things differently but I believe that they believe in what they are doing and they will give their best to accomplish it. -

If you didn't state it I apologize, I must have reached that conclusion by mistake. My point in this discussion is that the Bills have talented players, not a finished product but a good group of players that with better coaching and guidance will field a much better product than what we saw in the past. Our coaching staff is unproven rather than weak, that is how I would like to see it. Edwards has been in the league for 13 yeaars I will call him weak when he can't field an adequate defense. He is unproven as DC but I wouldn't call him inexperienced. Modkins will learn under Gailey, he serves as running back coach with some defensive background as well. Alexandris doesn't have a great resume, I would have liked a more experienced guy for the OL, that's for sure, he will be assisted by Bobby Johnson (5 years in IU) Catavolos and Sanders are veterans and were retained from the previous regime. We will know and be able to evaluate this staff at the end of the year. -
We were very aggresive and even offered a contract, he thought playing in the 3-4 was best for his carreer. Bad timing, I guess.

I agree. It seems Pioli was the one with the eye for talent. I'm far from impressed with how NE decided to use the insane number of draft picks the last three or four years. They still play a fine game to obtain those draft picks but for the most part I think they don't have a high batting avg or one where you would think we're screwed.

Fixxxer replied to PJBrown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So talent alone win games in the NFL. I couldn't disagree more. I know the situation at LT and QB is far from ideal but to think that coaching can't influence those positions to make them servicable within the confines of an offense is a very simplistic and extremist way of seeing things. Then it was the great infusion of talent that turned the jets defense around? Do you think Pennington along with Cam Cameron make the Dolphins AFCEast champions a year later? This is a regime that believes in teaching and getting the most out of players, them being stars, talented or servicable. You can't have stars spread all over your roster because the system itself doesn't allow it. A strong coaching staff it's what you need to compete in this league. -

Are you saying that coaching is vastly overrated? That if you don't have good to great players you won't win much? -
Watching this game and Michel Johnson in particular I hope Ellis can make a similar transition to LB. Interesting prospect the Cowboys have in McGee.
