  1. Any chance they could get DeJean or Newton at 33 and then trade back up into the second round to take Franklin, Ladd, Mitchell or Coleman? Then grab Walker or Polk later on.
  2. Brandon Beane is an NFL GM with a team of scouts at his disposal and an entire coaching staff to provide feedback. I watch games on my couch and read message boards. Beane clearly didn't want Worthy or Legette, so who am I to question that decision, especially given concerns raised about both players, especially Worthy. There is obviously someone out there that Beane wants and now he has a materially better position in the middle part of the draft. He deserves the benefit of the doubt, at least for now.
  3. Allen & Company? So now Josh is handling quarterbacking, drafting, and banking?
  4. The Bills are going to get blown out this Sunday.
  5. Good point. You're exactly right and I actually made the same point yesterday. If Beane hits on a WR in the draft it completely changes the future of the franchise by getting younger and cheaper at a key position (and less drama) to complement other promising pass catchers in Kincaid and Shakir.
  6. If we wind up using the cap savings from Diggs to sign Cee Dee Lamb I would support adding Beane to the Ring of Fame the very next day.
  7. So are you saying that I should cancel my jersey order?
  8. Ok, so I've been trying to process this all day and I'm starting to like this trade more and more. At the end of the day Beane is taking a huge gamble, which either results in him revitalizing the team or costing us next season. It's a virtual lock that he goes WR in round 1, no lower than 28 and hopefully higher. If he hits on that pick, we're suddenly younger and cheaper at a key position, and without all of the drama that Diggs brings. With Diggs gone an athletic receiver also should help Shakir and Kincaid take it to the next level, and both of them can replace 14 as great route runners on third down plays. And on top of that we get a boatload of cap space next year. If that happens the window is as wide open as ever. Obviously the flip side is that Beane's pick is a bust, in which case it could be a long year, but the reward is worth that risk.
  9. So how long until Diggs starts making cryptic comments about Stroud?
  10. Make you wonder if Houston was a bit star struck when they agreed to the trade. I'm not sure I'd put a promising young rookie QB in this situation.
  11. He'd be great for depth but I'd be pretty nervous about him starting.
  12. They still need a receiver to extend the field vertically and they still need someone who can take over as WR1 in a year or two. These FA signings don't change that.
  13. Hopefully this plays out like the Oliver extension last year.
  14. They won two Super Bowls after trading away the best receiver in the AFC. They definitely get it.
  15. I'm fine with a crappy halftime show. Save the good acts for Josh's first SB.
  16. It's going to be a long offseason. It was right there for the taking, and the D is just lost.
  17. This is such a smart drive. The D can't stop KC, but keeping them off the field for 10 minutes is better than a stop.
  18. No surprises. Not having Bernard and Benford sucks, but I really never expected either of them to play. When Bernard got carted off my mind immediately started doing the math to see how much time he'd miss next season. The fact that it was a game time decision is remarkable.
  19. Yep. Teams typically don't fire people with knowledge of their draft board until after the draft is over. Whaley was just holding the seat warm by that point.
  20. This would be Taron Johnson's fifth concussion of his career. At some point his availability for the next game becomes a secondary concern.
  21. No offense, but this is an absurd suggestion. If the Bills need a punter it's not going to be a guy who has never had punted in a regular season game.
