  1. No, it's Obama that'll ruin North America. TO will simply ruin a few coaches and teammates.
  2. If we do enough research, we can create an entire league of football prisoners.
  3. #1030 cracked me up. Great look on T.O.'s face while talking to Hamden. He has that "I have no idea what you're talking about" look.
  4. Very nice work and with equipment like this, you're not messing around.
  5. He's the anti-Jauron and the anti-Trent.
  6. Yes, Jaws never met a QB he didn't like.
  7. Agree. Absolutely not. Waaaaay too much baggage, a poor fit for the illustrious Dick Jauron and who knows what kind of player he'll be at this point in his career.
  8. The right attitude and some alcohol go a long way.
  9. That Jauron should be fired is an open topic. Doesn't need a new thread. It should be on Brandon's to-do list now.
  10. Interesting numbers, but what would be the point of wishing ill will for JP?
  11. I think it has a chance to succeed. If they keep it inexpensive and family friendly, they could have a loyal base. NFL football is neither of those. Hiring experienced coaches should be helpful.
  12. Not wishful thinking on my part. More than happy with Ralph keeping the team in Buffalo. Ralph might want to have the final say in what happens to the team beyond him rather than leaving it up to the league and his estate. He'd have a hard time saying in public "yeah, I'm getting old and should sell the team now before I go". That would create a ridiculous uproar. Personally I think there is a plan and I completely respect him wanting to keep it private.
  13. Yes, we've all heard him say that. You believe everything you hear from him publically? I don't and he might change his mind given the change in the political climate and looming tax changes.
  14. This would be a good time for Ralph to sell all or most of the team if maximum recovery is his goal. Capital gains tax is still low at 15% and Obama and company want that to be increased significantly. The Dems also plan to reinstate estate taxes to the 45% level (above $3.5 million) reversing the estate tax exemption that is on the books now meaning that if Ralph were to die in 2010 or beyond, his family would have a tax bill triple the current capital gains tax rate. It's amazing that Democrats would feel entitled to tax revenue from inheritance at all let alone 45% but that's another matter. Expect Obama and the current congress to move quickly on that one once they get Obamacare done (another disaster in the making). Obviously not a great time to sell the team given the economy, but the tax advantages probably outweigh the discount price. I believe that he can then put those proceeds into an irrevocable trust which would shield his family from the estate taxes. Not an expert in this but I think that is the case. Someone else here might have a comment on that. For all we know he already has the irrevocable trust established which might mean it doesn't matter tax-wise when he dies and still owns the team.
  15. Can you blame him? He's got Pat Leahy as a Senator.
  16. Jaws never met a QB he didn't like. He said great things about JP also.
  17. Yes, but chances are they can use the signals they have stolen from Buffalo since Jauron has been the coach.
  18. Agree. Hopefully the way the cap gets calculated will be modified to more closely resemble the "cash to cap" approach used by the Bills. A cap that doesn't limit how much cash per year is spent on players isn't really a cap. Like many have said, the rookie salaries need to be addressed. I'm all for free markets and for people making as much as they can, but if you're running a sports league and managing a competitive balance, you need to close the loopholes. The owners really hold the much better cards if it gets ugly an IMO they should be willling to play hard ball even if it means a strike.
  19. Players have played hard for all coaches in the NFL with the exception of Hank Bullough.
  20. The Bills should not accept mediocrity for a head coach nor should the fans.
  21. The camera pointed at Jauron on the sideline.
  22. The Bills will pay you over a million a year to coach the team to that record.
  23. Dick defers because he is a very polite guy.
  24. You've hit the nail on the head and driven it flush into the wood in a single swing of the hammer. Jauron can't compete.
