  1. Will probably see one thread per week on this, even if he wins. Winning alone is not good enough. You must win, make the other team look bad in the process and provide a emotionally charged post game presser. Anything less than that and he's got to go.
  2. Jauron was the genious that hired him after interviewing nobody else for the job.
  3. I don't see the game being a blowout. I think Belichick knows he has the better personnel and that he will deploy a methodical gameplan rather than wide-open higher risk approach. In Brady's first game in a year I don't see him asking the QB to do too much. If I were beting though, I'd take the Pats minus 10.5.
  4. Notice Lombardi's commitment to that play in the write-up. Clearly he was deeply commited to it and asked the players to commit themselves to it. What is Dick committed to? Do you ever hear him speak in similar terms? Heck no. He's wishy washy on most things. He uses phrases like "we need to do this" or "I prefer to do that". He's nothng like Lombardi with or without a huddle.
  5. Yeah and the Patriots wouldn't trade the guy if they weren't confident that they have another player that can fill that spot well.
  6. You want Jauron prepping this team for a playoff game? Not me.
  7. Best thing for Trent would be to get out from under Jauron as soon s possible.
  8. You missed to two most obvious. Hire a GM and a new coaching staff.
  9. Well done. Some of us are already in the"anger" stage.
  10. This is what happns when a sub-par head coch is retained after he has already demonstrated tha he is inadequate.
  11. Jauron is the OC. They just don't want to say it publically because they know it won't sit well with fans. Not joking.
  12. Jauron doesn't have the stomach for it. I see them using it very sparingly.
  13. Not entirely. He hired Turk without interviewing anyone else. We could see this coming 2 years ago. Very poor decision by Jauron then.
  14. Yes, and don't forget DJ hired this guy without interviewing a single other candidate. No offense to AVP, but he now has been hired for the job without Dick interviewing a single other candidate. This is not how to build a winner. Jauron blew it 2 years ago.
  15. Here's to hoping that Ralph has a couple more swings with the ax before nap time.
  16. No idea. Does he break the tie or overrule the other two? It's news to me if Lester is calling plays during a game.
  17. Great, so when they can't agree run or pass do they call a timeout to discuss?
  18. 1 down, several more to go.
  19. Yes, but on which team? DJ and Trent will diminish his producivity. Bears could use a good receiver.
  20. The locker room may be filled with hope. What else have they got?
  21. Ya know, compared to the absolute bottom of the league - you're right, the Bills don't look that bad. Crank up the optimism.
  22. Yeah, but the UFL doesn't have a team there.
  23. You forgot center. Left, right and center!
  24. Agree. If I were the coach, I'd have the starting offense out there for a half and tell them they had better play like it's their last game. They obviously need the work and more time to evaluate the bottom of the roster is less important at this point IMO. Shows you again how risk averse Jauron is (risk of injury). He'll have the starters sleep walking from now until opening day. Jauron commits himself to mediocrity.
  25. I don't see what's dumb about it. I'm not saying it'll succeed, but the games might be every bit as entertaining as an NFL game and it might appeal to families quite a bit who can see a game for a lot less money. Heck, If I take my family of 5 to a game here in Chicago, get decent seats (not the best) - the cost of tickets, parking and a couple trips to the concession stand is well over $500.
