  1. The Bills are going nowhere with or without him.
  2. Most of the cynical attitude stems from Jauron having any role in the organization whatsoever. What was his his approval rating in the ESPN poll at the end of last year? 14%? That and his record speaks volumes. Brandon's support from fans will be in the same place if results don't improve and a new coach is not hired.
  3. The greatest payoff would be T.O. driving Jauron so crazy that Dick quits.
  4. This should be everyone's greatest fear.
  5. Yes and the Bills were a last place team last year. Until they show something on the field, they deserve to be ignored by the national media.
  6. Worst case = 7-9. Best case = 7-9. Most likley = 7-9.
  7. I see Belichick using a conservative game plan doing enough to win. Last year the offense under Cassell make a mockery of the Bills defense by simply taking what the Bills "soft keep it in front of you" coverage offered on a silver platter along with running. On defense it looked like the Pats knew run or pass on nearly every play. Jauron was schooled. The Pats took the sure thing all day in workmanlike wins. I see more of that coming in the opener.
  8. I disagree. Jauron IMO is one coach that says nice things about the caliber of mediocre players and actually believes his own B.S. His results support the hypothesis.
  9. Can only imagine that if he plays for another team. Jauron would not allow that kind of production. It would present far too much risk and uncertainty.
  10. Yes as long as you include in the "crap" his own approach to playing offense.
  11. Come on. 7-9 is the ticket.
  12. Maybe, but you have to back out special teams and defensive scores. I don't know what those numbers are, but it would be interesting to compare offense points over the past few years. Also you don't get to play against the 2008 Chiefs every year.
  13. Geez that's ugly. I'll go out on a limb and predict that they rank 20th - 24th this year.
  14. Center is a very tough position to play against the Jets, Pats and Phins. You're going against really big strong guys. If Preston were playing in another division against 4-3 tackles and of the quicker lighter types like the Bills use, he might be decent. Looks to me like Center on the Bills might be the most important spot on the line and you have to have an animal in there to get it done.
  15. As soon as he has a bruised hip.
  16. You think the Bills need a wake-up call?
  17. If the new rule is put into effect, it will be dubbed "the JP Losman" rule.
  18. The car thing is really worn out, and so are my attacks on Jauron. Bills can stay in the Buffalo/Niagara region if..... 1. Jauron is replaced soon 2. Ralph or his estate make it a priority to keep the team in the area. 3. There is a buyer or group that can rationalize buying the team at something close to FMV and keeping it in WNY. 4. NYS and the County provide an economically friendly environment for the team knowing that there is a postivie economic impact by having the Bills stay.
  19. So the writer must have a crystal ball that says T.O. is going to sign another contract with the Bills after '09 and that Bill Cowher will come out of retirement to coach the Bills.
  20. We can all drink to that.
  21. It's like anything else done at a high level. To be successful it takes lot's of money, a very talented team and driver, great determination and some luck. One difference from Football is that the drivers and teams don't often get arrested and contracts gets done without so much B.S. Also like football, it's more fun to be there than watch it on TV. Joe Gibbs would tell you how boring it is compared to football.
  22. It's easy to criticize what you don't understand.
  23. And by the way, I don't hate Jauron. I think he's a terrific person, just not a winner as an NFL head coach.
  24. What? The previous poster made the comment that the Bills could be a top 5 offense with a TE. That's outrageous. While you might not like what I wrote, it's a plausible statement and I'm not here to please you. When the Bills do something positive, something that shows a real commitment to compete, I'll support it. Blind loyalty is not a requirement for participation on this board.
  25. Here's a hypothetical bet that I would make with you. Let Jauron pick 11 offensive starters from around the league and I would bet heavily that he couldn't manage to finish the year with a top 5 offense.
