  1. Right now the Bills QB's might be better than the WR's. I still feel that with a decent receiver group TT would have a good season. Maybe there will still be a WR upgrade before opening day.
  2. All good points especially the first 2 you mention. Obviously the GM thinks that the draft choices and players in return for the 2 deals make the team better over the longer haul and the GM is working with a lot more information than the rest of us and the media.
  3. I was there and stayed until then end. We talked about leaving right after the oilers scored early in the 3rd quarter. I did see Mayor Jimmy Griffin leaving the stadium (walking up an exit ramp) at halftime. He was not alone. Those ramps were busy then.
  4. Being a head coach or GM in the NFL are among the toughest jobs one can do. Football teams are in the business of winning and have more moving parts than any other in sports. Owners, GMs, coaches, players and support staff are continually changing, it's the culture of the business. It is the ultimate team game among those playing on the field and those in supporting roles and a very unexact science at the same time. Winning requires execution by many and some luck and when that doesn't happen, change happens. Much of the on-field success is in the hands of very young men (players) who are very early in their adult lives. Doug may hurt for a short while but he'll be fine. He's got a lot of experience now to draw upon and will learn from that. We should expect that he'll pick himself up, dust himself off and take on another challenge in the football world soon. Wish him much success and happiness in the future.
  5. It's no surprise that you would respond to an informative and well crafted post with your typical serving of poop.
  6. That's a big part of what we should do and people should be permitted to buy higher deductible policies as their HSA account balances grow. We also need to solve the pricing mystery in health care services. As consumers it's nearly impossible to get a medical practitioner to tell you the cost of the service you are buying and depending upon the insurance you have (or don't have) the disparity of price for the same service is huge. Pricing needs to be more transparent and flattened out somehow.
  7. This, Trump being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, may deserve it's own thread if Trump gets any further in the process. The article also speculates that Vlad Putin may be among the nominees. http://dennismichaellynch.com/trump-among-nominees-nobel-peace-prize/
  8. Probably the best option the Bills had at the position at this time and not having much faith in the outgoing coaching staff, I think Tyrod and the offense can/will perform better this year.
  9. So much for the power of the purse revolt http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/03/08/ivanka-trumps-fashion-sales-are-skyrocketing-despite-boycott-calls.html
  10. I give Obama credit for this by his LEAVING
  11. I watch it a few times a week. It's helps me understand what the left is thinking and feeding their base and once in a while you'll get a decent story that right leaning outlets would choose not to cover.
  12. It was well worth it. It exposed Hillary as the fraud that she is and was a factor in her not winning the election. The return on the investment is already yuuuuggge. Oh and it didn't cost taxpayers a dime. It's being financed and the money needed to pay the interest is also being financed.
  13. So the Russian conspiracy picture is getting clearer. Trump and his crew were under some form of surveillance for a period of time but that surveillance didn't turn up any wrongdoing.
  14. I suppose but if for example states in close geographic proximity wanted to pass reciprocal agreements so that people had more insurer choices they are free to do that. It's done with in-state college tuition, why not health insurance? At a very basic level there are a set of blood test scores, weight, smoker/non smoker designations that could be used and medical professionals can probably come up with an expanded set of criteria. As it stands today life insurance and long term care insurance policies and rates are often scored based on health status. If there were incentives for lower health insurance rates, some portion of the population would likely improve their health to earn the discount. Taking prescriptions is often a choice. I know so many people who are over-medicated, some of which have been wise enough to look for other remedies that can help them get off meds. One example diabetics that take the hard road to lose weight and improve their diets and health and can then get off or almost completely get off insulin.
  15. It's already been written. Sweet dreams. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/11/why-donald-trump-turned-orange
  16. Not true. Both prior and since the ACA, the distribution of health insurance was restricted through state boundaries and by having coverage choices made by employers based on the regulations of the state. It's a monopolistic market. Currently the fed government strictly dictates coverage, employers give their employees a few choices within narrow guidelines and a handful of carriers set rates in lockstep with each other. It is the fedex / ups model. It guarantees increases every year given the high barrier to entry for new competitors and regulations. If I want to buy insurance that waives maternity care, mental health care, drug addiction care, bone replacement coverage - I can't do it. If I want to pay out of pocket for a service and get a rate comparable to what insurance pays, I can't do it. Hell you can't even get pricing for services in advance. If I want to buy insurance other than what my employer offers, I can but again it's limited to the same regulated coverages. If I want to buy insurance from nearby Indiana, I can't. If I want to get a larger deductible when my HSA account balance grows, I am limited again.usually due to employer choices. If I want to negotiate a better rate because I have better than average health and practice a healthy lifestyle I can't. Get rid of all of the rules and allow new products to come into the market, that will help some. Additionally as a society we have to practice healthier habits and consume less health care and fewer prescription drugs, especially among the elderly.
  17. Both are wrong. Both deserve to be investigated and punishment to follow if the investigations turn up illegal surveillance and/or leaks.
  18. The GOP needs work but at least in this last election cycle ran and won on addressing some of the big problems we have. Certainly the ACA needs a do-over. The others: border security/illegal immigration, growing the economy and jobs, national security, fiscal responsibility and tax reform are at least being discussed and the work is beginning. I still don't know what the Dems see as the top priorities but if they are things like BLM, amnesty in some form for illegal immigrants and continued open borders, preserving the ACA as it is, transgender bathroom rights, climate change and a $15 minimum wage, well they won't find enough voters who think those are the most important items. Election results at the state and federal level pretty much validate this along with a lot of facts and numbers. As for the ACA, It's hard to say now what will get enacted as I'm sure that this we get batted around for months before anything is finalized.
  19. Agree. This is too important a topic and too large of an expense to not consult with experts and take some time to truly make improvements and yes if something is crafted that is a big improvement, there should be bipartisan support.
  20. Yes and in Rosen's case it was something like 20 phones including his parents phone, and of course he was never actually suspected of being a spy. Even the douche Holder said he regretted doing it.
  21. Which line on which tax return form is the one where the amounts to and from unscrupulous Russians are entered? Seriously, what do you expect to find here? His tax returns are not going to identify investors in his projects and it's already been reported that he has partnered with some Russian investors on a few properties and that he has tried to trademark his Trump name in Russia and has explored some property development in Russia but hasn't moved forward with it. His company credit reports and corporate filings would have more detail than his tax returns and that information is relatively easy to get and I think we can all be sure that his political rivals have already combed through that. The larger reason that the left and the leftist media have been wanting his tax returns is so that they can criticize him for not paying his fair share of taxes through "loopholes" or for underperforming companies or anything else they can find to criticize. There is no reason for him to do it especially in this environment of a politically charged media and opposition party who for sure won't be responsible with the information.
  22. Loretta's right out of the Obama mold which is not surprising. The left loves the protest play in the playbook. As for Hillary, her resume (what she can say about herself on 1 page) would read impressive, but the body of work is really lousy and she got creamed in the interview process. She was never a strong candidate for the job.
  23. Uh, no. You've taken the bait. Follow what money? Follow what evidence? The media and Trump's political rivals are pushing conspiracy theories for purely political reasons. Why else would they be doing it in the face of no evidence even after surveillance and investigative work has been done? What we do know is that Trump and/or his campaign team were under some forms of surveillance for months and that none of that has turned up anything.
  24. He was likely aware and we'll never know the extent of his involvement because his minions do the work. James Clapper, not exactly a Trump supporter said on Meet The Press this morning that they saw no evidence of Collusion between Trump campaign and Russian Meddling. http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/former-dni-james-clapper-i-can-deny-wiretap-trump-tower-n729261 synopsis and comment on NBC reporting: Justice got FISA court order in 2016 to monitor Trump communication for what reason is unclear. Could have been actual suspicion of Russian aid Trump or could have been for political reasons only. Justice/FBI was monitoring email server activity from Trump Tower and possibly looking at phone records and possibly recording some phone conversations of cell phones Over several month period and while Obama still in office, info gathered but multiple sources (then and since) say no evidence of collusion with Russians found Previous point doesn't matter, media and Dems continuing to push Russia story as this is their game plan to create chaos Trump late last week gets intel that FISA court requests made and that surveillance done Trump blows a gasket and sends out tweet with no specifics (no surprise) Obama and Co true to their form parse words and deny the literal meaning of Trumps tweet but won't deny that surveillance requests made and carried out Mark Levin on Fox this AM lays out a pretty compelling case that surveillance was done Meet The Press this AM reporting story obviously written yesterday because it lacks the info Levin had just presented on Fox are still pushing Russian / Trump connection. Schumer (D-Bag) is on and spews more crap about Trump/Russia but when asked if he knows if Trump was under surveillance he answers that "he won't comment on classified information". Clapper later in show says no evidence of collusion found. So the big news from MTP this AM is really that schumer wouldn't answer on Trump being under surveillance (obviously he was) and Clapper says no collusion, yet NBC home page now has headline "No Wiretap on Trump" which technically may be true as it computer surveillance. Shameful reporting as usual from NBC.
