  1. They can forget to give you a napkin so you'll still be disappointed.
  2. I have a movie idea I've been kicking around for a couple years. Would be one of the best comedies ever. Men will laugh their asses off. Women will laugh but will also be afraid to go to their gynecologist after seeing the movie. It's truly a great idea. I have zero movie production experience. Where do I go with this? I'm telling you, it will be freaking hysterical. Will gross huge $.
  3. I saw Arrival at a Theatre. Could barely stay awake. Crappy Sci-fi blended with crappy touchy feely-ness.
  4. Yes and Hollywood has become a joke even before this escapade. Did anyone notice that something like 10 movies were nominated for best picture? That's practically every damn movie made last year. The academy is now giving out participation awards in the form of nominations. Some of those movies were crap.
  5. Why can't people on the left look objectively at the ACA and see very clearly that it hasn't delivered on the promise to reduce costs for most people and that it should be fixed/replaced with a better set of rules?
  6. What about Breyer? He's getting close to 80. Don't these people have something better to do in their last lucid years?
  7. Once again CNN stretching the truth and trying to make a big story out of nothing, but keep pushing the Russia thing libs, and start thinking about your excuses for losing even more political ground in 2018.
  8. Yes it is absurd and here in Illinois we have about the worst examples of this and the worst pension situation in the country. We have a governor willing to make the tough call to revise state gov pensions going forward but the dems in state government won't even consider it even with the awful numbers under their noses. Shameful, but I'm !@#$ing out of Illinois in a few years so I don't give a ****.
  9. That thought has crossed my mind but the federal government delegating more to the states is a lot easier to achieve and could yield similar results.
  10. I agree that he should "pick his battles" and that cracking down on pot doesn't make the grade. However, slow left lane drivers should be executed without due process.
  11. Trump gets low scores on style points, and that probably won't change but he is addressing the low hanging fruit that Obama left for him. A tepid job market and economy, lack of border security, national security, runaway health care costs and debt/underfunded entitlements. If Trump and Congress address these issues and improve them, they're winners and I for one won't give a rats ass about style.
  12. I have mixed feelings on weed. Have seen too many people hurt by the habit and legalization creates another enforcement challenge (driving under the influence) and will cost more lives. I'd have to lean no on legalization.
  13. Continued moral decline fueled by liberalism
  14. Not exactly. Trump overturned an executive order on the bathroom thing so the laws as they were are intact. If congress want to pass a new federal law about bathroom rights, they can make that effort.
  15. A disaster for who? The way this "system" works now, me and most others who are not government employees are forced through taxation to fund comfy retirements for local, state and federal employees and can only fund our own retirements (if we can afford to) after we have funded that of the government employees. Why should government employees get a guaranteed retirement funded by others who may not be able to fund their own retirements?
  16. That's outrageous and implies that while she was working she was earning more than that?
  17. Low yields resulting in lower than expected returns on pension investments mean shortfalls, but the real solution is scrapping these plans and replacing them going forward with 401K or IRA programs mostly funded by the workers.
  18. Yes and as gator always says - immigration helps grow the economy, like exponential growth. Greece could definitely benefit from that.
  19. Yes but Dems have nowhere else to go politically than to the extreme left. Trump has committed a theft of sorts by stealing the working man/woman vote and may also grab more of the African American vote if he and Carson and Congress get something done to help urban areas economically.
  20. F1 lacks parity, but it is a great playground for money and technology. The top drivers are very rare talents and the development work on the cars is amazing. The racing isn't very close which makes it a lot less interesting.
  21. You might be surprised at how many auto racing fans including NASCAR fans are not rednecks and how much sophistication and technology there is in the sport.
  22. LOL, tell us how you really feel. I can't recall when they stretched the qualifiers to 150 miles, but it was a few years ago I think. I haven't watched much NASCAR after Rusty Wallace retired. I first saw him race at Watkins Glen in the 80's when he was a nobody and drove the frickin wheels off the car for a low budget team. Was a huge fan of his from that moment forward.
  23. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy but often got beat up in the debate of most issues. Cancer takes far too many of us.
  24. My guess is he's been told this 100's of times by his closest advisors and his kids (most of whom present themselves better than their Dad) but I don't think Trump can help himself. He's a thin-skinned extrovert.
  25. I did say ever because possibly there was a time when Muslims in large numbers co-existed well with Christians and Jews.
