    I wouldn't consider the "hopeful return" timeframe as week 6-10. The short end of the recovery timeframe would be the start of the season from what I have heard.

    Dawkins was outstanding for the last part of the season. There is zero chance he is a cap cut in the next few years. He took a little while to fully recover from covid, after that he was one of the best LTs in the league.

    My heart says bring him back, but my head says there is no room for him and he is past the point of being a very effective player. Bringing him back would be at the detriment of the young DEs.

    The cap would be real if it was a set amount for several years in a row. Teams know that the cap will generally go up every season and can use that when restructuring contracts. The only way the cap becomes "real" is if it stops increasing every year.

    We always called it scum jumping. There was an urban legend about the canal that I clearly remember. Acoording to this story, farmers would dump dead livestock into the canal. A kid jumped into the canal and right into a dead cow. He got stuck and died.
