  1. You knew Lee wasn't out there much because of our 2nd lowest total in penalties this year.
  2. I've already answered a similar post to this.
  3. Pretty sure @GunnerBill has mentioned this previously as well as to why he is encouraged by Allen's overall play this year.
  4. This falls directly in line with what I felt the other day after hearing and watching the situation unfold. Posted this on Sunday morning.
  5. Josh gets the Buffalo stigma. There always has to be some extenuating circumstance that explains the anomaly of his god day or they want to point out what happened at previous points to rationalize why it shouldn't be taken into account. Just the way it is for now.
  6. Let me guess, Florio @ PFT?
  7. Yes, he does still lock onto a single guy and take off if he's not open. He does still also seem to not go through progressions at times. Josh has done these same things. I really think the NFL is seeing the next great crop of QB's rising who will carry the game on after the Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and Rivers of the NFL are gone. Even with that, the things we are seeing from Jackson, the young man is still more successful than I thought he would be. I am man enough to admit that. Now he may get hammered by someone one day and it changes the trajectory of his career. Who knows? Right now though, even if you are stopping him throwing the ball, he can light you up to the tune of 150 and 2 or 3 TD's with his legs. He is a true dual threat unlike anyone I have ever seen outside of Michael Vick.
  8. Can't stand those effin dorks
  9. I don't know about Bi-Polar, but there are NUMEROUS Bills-polar around here.
  10. Truth on the coaching. Jeff Fisher, that's all you have to say. It is a West Coast type of system that Philly runs, but there are a lot of RPO concepts within that. It's not the same RPO that Roman runs by any means, but a lot of the reads and route concepts are still the same without the QB keeping the ball anywhere near as much in Philly. Like you said, tailor the game to the QB's strengths. A lot of times it is what makes or breaks the career path of many of these young QB's.
  11. Another "system QB" to look at, who's quite a bit different on the athletic pendulum of it all, is Nick Foles. Great in the RPO with Philly early in his career, wildly inconsistent everywhere else, returns to Philly under the same system, and lights it up on the way to a SB victory over the Pats after a Carson Wentz injury. He then looks like he is heading in the same direction again before being derailed by an Alshon Jeffrey drop.
  12. He's is turning out to be the FA gem of the 2019 offseason. No one expected this.
  13. Yes, but Vick also evolved later in his career with Philly and became more than just a running QB. Right now I am beginning to believe Jackson can do the same. Not every QB is going to be Brady, Brees, or Rodgers, but they find their niche and turn out to be good starters in this league.
  14. I also remind people that Ben Ro's 3rd year was the worst of his career and his 5th year wasn't that much better. People are always looking for instant gratification. I compared it to a microwavable Hot Pocket. One minute and 30 seconds, boom, it's done. Sometimes it just takes time in general for players to develop.
  15. I think the draft this year provides us with some options for a bigger, talented WR to go opposite of Smoke in 2020. CeeDee Lamb / Oklhoma / 6'2" 190lbs - Very athletic, has good speed, and high points the ball well Chase Claypool / Notre Dame / 6'5" 228lbs - I don't know if he'll run a sub 4.4 40-yd time(probably closer to 4.45-4.5), but he is built just like Metcalf, can run, runs a pretty legit route tree, has excellent body control, and gets those 50/50 balls almost every time. Tee Higgins / Clemson / 6'4" 200lbs - All you have to do is watch the tape. Michael Pittman Jr. / USC / 6'4" 215lbs - Another big WR who can do it all. Tyler Johnson / Minnesota / 6'2" 200lbs - Is playing himself into the Day1/Day 2 discussion. Tamorrion Terry / Florida St. / 6'4" 205lbs - Another big WR who can run and uses his size well. I could keep going, but these are the guys I could think of off top. I like Jeudy too, but for some reason I am more skeptical of him overall. I really like Claypool and Pittman though, whom I believe are 2nd day guys at this point.
  16. I suggest you go back and read this thread.
  17. 20TH Pass Defense and 29TH Run Defense Over the last 5 weeks though they have shown improvement as a team and were riding a 2 game winning streak going into yesterday. A lot of the media bobble heads actually picked them to beat us.
  18. While I don't think Lamar would be AS successful if he had not landed exactly where he did, I still think the talent would show through. The young man is electric out there.
  19. In the same light that I can see the growth in Allen and believe he is a special player, I can no longer deny the fact that Lamar Jackson is a special talent at the QB position either. Yes, he has a great coaching staff from top to bottom that has tailor made the offense around him. Yes, he has a good/great defense to back him up. Yes, he has had some rough patches in the same manner as Josh throwing the ball. But again I watch him yesterday against the Texans and the young man does not disappoint. I keep thinking he will falter, but on the biggest stage he always seems up to the task. He is surely not just another system product ala Kaepernick or Tyrod with Roman at the helm. He can do things on the field that we haven't seen in this league since Michael Vick in his early days with the Falcons and when he is on throwing the ball, he is on. Even on the days he may be off throwing the football he can still beat you with his legs like he did the Seahawks or the Patriots. People keep hyping all of these other match-ups as the next Brady/Manning like Mahomes/Jackson or Watson/Jackson, but I can see the battle being Allen/Jackson for years to come. Hopefully his style of play doesn't lead to injury and it remains to be seen whether this style is also sustainable at this level, but right now he is one of my favorite players to watch in the NFL outside of the Bills every week.
  20. Maybe the staff is actually making adjustments that are working now? Johnson comes in and makes the most of his opportunity. Oliver played like a man yesterday. Liuget out there getting after it again. Phillips still having his best season as a pro. Star actually out there making plays. Daboll goes up in the booth and calls his best game of the season. Josh coincidentally has his best game of the year as well. Edmunds and Milano were out there flying around all day. They seemed like they were out to prove a point yesterday and they all played hungry.
  21. The ball was only thrown on a rope traveling 30 yards in the air. It doesn't count. He has to throw it in the air 60 on a dime for it to be considered a deep ball.
  22. Truth. Outside of him lucking up on the Peyton Manning signing and getting Demarcus Ware from Dallas, he has been really bad as a GM. You would think as a former QB, and HOF'er as well, that the first thing he would be able to do is identify QB talent. He hasn't been able to do that. You wonder how long he holds his job due to his status in Denver and the fact they got a SB a few years ago.
  23. Another thing to look at, aside from Josh completely flipping his TD to INT ratio over the last 6 weeks, is his baseline stats. Now I agree that stats do not tell the whole story. We have all seen him struggle at times on the field in certain games this year. But for a young man who was as raw as he was coming out of college, only having started 21 games now in the NFL, after playing against lesser opponents in college for the most part, and not having a plethora of talent around him at said college, he is completing passes at a 60.3% clip while being on pace for basically 3,500 yards passing with 20 TD passes to 11 INT's and 530 yards rushing with 11 more TD's to go with it. That's 4,000 yards of production and 30+ total TD's.
  24. It was definitely PI and the refs are just trying to stick it to everyone. Riveron is a joke.
