Good athlete who's time has passed. This argument has been rehashed on so many different occasions that I feel like I'm having "Deja Vu all over again" (R.I.P. Yogi) with people posting the exact same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (hopefully you get the point) and over and over every time this name comes up. His last season in SF was full of TD's in garbage time when the game was already decided. He is a career 59.8% passer, check the stats http://www.nfl.com/player/colinkaepernick/2495186/careerstats . Is he better than some of the backups in the league? Of course he is. Even at his absolute peak in SF he was under 60% completion rate or a tenth or two above. Harbaugh and Roman got the absolute most out of him they possibly could. Let it go. Like I said before about this whole situation. -
Jerry Sullivan is an idiot. That is all.

Okay, so something he has shown great improvement on, which is hanging in the pocket, now immediately becomes full blown regression because of a game (1 out of 9 now) where he starts running around a bit. Could it be because they blitzed him 4 out of every 10 plays and he was getting knocked around? Was it his best game of the year? Nope. Did he still make some big time throws? Yep. Just saying, the media and anyone else love to throw out click bait to feed the opinions of those who slurp them up.

What? Those are facts bro. Sorry if it is hard for you to accept.

I still think our best OL would be Dawkins-Feliciano-Morse-Ford-Nsekhe at this point in time. I think Feliciano at the LG spot helps both Dawkins and Morse, so in turn Allen as well. Right now, imo, Ford is better suited to play RG. If you want to rotate someone in and out then let it be Spain at the G positions if need be, not Nsekhe and Ford @ RT. The OL could still use another top tier starter, likely at RT. Josh would also benefit from having a CeeDee Lamb, or a Chase Claypool, or a Laviska Shenault, or a Tee Higgins out there on the field. We have enough smurfs. Give me a big guy who can run, is physical, can go up and get it, and has hands. Regardless of how the rest of this season plays out, next offseason is make or break for this regime imo. Brady is likely on his way out in NE, the Dolphins have like 5 first round picks, and who knows what the Jets will do. The division should be ours for the taking if they maneuver through FA and the draft as they should.

Roethlisberger's 3rd was his worst year of his career completing less than 60% of his passes and throwing 18 TD's to 23 INT's. Year 5 he was less than 60% as well with 17 TD's to 15 INT's. Rivers sat for 2 years behind Drew Brees before he even got his shot.

Nope, but the Playoffs along with a Super Bowl W does

Which further proves Daboll is an idiot.

No one is saying it's a bed of roses and I am surely not hiding behind our record. I am also not saying that Allen hasn't shown flaws. I am though however part of the crowd that thinks the OC is more of the problem than the QB. Again, there was a post by Gugny last week about Daboll not calling a game that keeps Allen in any kind of rhythm. This is spot on. How many good looking drives have we had where we march down the field, put up 7, and then Daboll never goes back to ANY OF IT for the rest of the game? How many 3rd and shorts have we had where Daboll has EVERY receiver running patterns 15 or more yards down the field? The designed QB runs he goes to the well on too often or at the most inopportune of moments? They need to incorporate the intermediate stuff because he is showing much better on that this year, but let the young man be himself. Let him run on his own, let him ad lib against the defense, let him trust himself, and let him go out and make plays. Actually call a game suited to what he's doing well and stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Seems pretty simple to me and I'm sure there are people smart enough to do just that, but Daboll isn't one of them.

Yeah, if Buffalo had given him the contract Cincy did then that would have never happened. I'm sure he'd be glad to collect one here again if we claimed him for the rest of the season.

I know the question without reading a single post from the thread. Nope.

Wow............. A new and creative way to discuss moving on from Josh Allen before the end of his 2nd year when he has shown improvement , that he is a clutch performer, and the team is 6-3. Awesome.

This is my thought on the situation as well. Our LB depth is weak and he knows the defense already. Bring him back at least for the rest of this season.
