  1. Daboll is an idiot. He calls a terrible game week in and week out. He IS holding this team back. The idiot kicker also didn't do us any favors today, but Daboll has got to go. McDermott won't do it though.
  2. The guy isn't a superstar or anything. If he was he would have been on another roster. If he's active he gets 0-9 snaps. He's a rotational DT and will be another part of the rotation as he gets more acclimated. I wouldn't expect an impact today really.
  3. Bottom line is, despite how any of you are trying to spin it, he is improving as a passer. His completion percentage is up almost 10 pts from last year. He's hitting on the intermediate throws consistently. He's more poised in the pocket, not taking off to run unless it actually is breaking down for the most part. Last year he would take off before it broke down, a lot. His footwork is getting better. He is throwing some absolute dimes out there at times. You can see that the game is starting to slow down a bit for him. What most of the detractors are basing their opinions upon is the fact he is not putting up gaudy numbers. I think you can thank Daboll for that in a lot of instances. Gugny had a spot on post about Daboll and his play calling the other day. He's not calling plays that keep Allen in a rythm a lot of times, A LOT of times. Josh is the highest rated 4th qtr QB in the NFL right now. Could he be doing that if he wasn't improved as a passer? I think not. Put your hatred aside, let go of the Mahomes/Watson Kleenex, and admit the truth.

  5. I was just about to say something about this as well HBF. On a side note, "Billl" just started his account yesterday. The same day this thread was started. Pretty coincidental you think? Yeah, not really. An already member trolling twice as hard in the same thread under two separate names. I have a pretty good idea whom it might be.
  6. Dez was done his last year in Dallas and that was before the achilles injury. At this point I would rather just roll with the guys we have on the roster now.
  7. I don't think you need it to be a public poll my friend. It's pretty easy by the posts in this thread to count the "no's" And a couple of those drops turned into INT's on the ricochet.
  8. The guy obviously doesn't take into account that Darnold got 8 of his completions, 80+ of those yards, and his only TD on a meaningless, late 4th qtr drive where the Dolphins had the game in hand. People are stupid. About Josh though? Definitely shown improvement and progressively doing so. The answer is yes and yes with it being in tandem.

  10. Cuz we takiiiinnn ooooova, one DT at a time ~ *Akon voice*
  11. Go look at Jackson's passing stats. Someone broke it down in this thread already. Since week 2 Jackson has 5 passing TD's and 5 INT's. Thats 6 games worth of passing production. In the last 4 games Josh has 7 TD's and 1 INT throwing the ball. The difference is Jackson channeling his inner RB having about 500 yards on the ground in that time. I'm not saying either one is better than the other right now, but it's plain to see that Josh is trending upward as a passer where Lamar is reverting to Lamar from last year. It will cost Baltimore when it counts. I said before the year that Josh's completion percentage would be up 10 pts this year from last. He is pretty darn close to that, while cutting down the turnovers recently, and doing better from the pocket. Josh could be out there winging it like Jackson as well if the team wanted him to do so, though he is clearly not the athlete Jackson is, but I believe the emphasis is on trying to make him a better QB. It's not like I hate Jackson. I think he's fun to watch. I thought he was fun to watch in college too. I think he's a great athlete. But the ball washing narrative that he is this amazing, top QB in the league, all while being an MVP candidate this year make me laugh. Why, because he can run better than any other QB? He's shown some improvement and he is having a good year for Baltimore. Is he his team's MVP? Yes. Is he the league MVP? No.
  12. Haven't you heard? Oliver is failing miserably at DT so he's next man up at LB.
  13. Just like the same narratives the Allen "critics" have which they hold to no matter how many comebacks he leads, clutch throws he makes, how much improvement he shows in his decision making with the football, or W's he leads the team to right?
  14. He has been good for his team and I'm not saying he hasn't been. His 300 yard per game average is due to his legs though so don't get it twisted. Also, 324 of those passing yards and 5 of those passing TD's came week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. You can come back with the whole, "Well what did Josh do against the Dolphins?" argument, but it's clear to see over the last 4 weeks they have been getting progressively better. Lamar didn't singlehandedly beat the Pats either. Ingram had a good game as well as the defense against that Pats offense. I'm not saying he hasn't improved from last year and I'm not saying he isn't the best fit for his team, but I am also not getting the whole reason the media and various other people love to s*** him off like he is some amazing QB. He's not. He's an average at best QB who happens to be the best athlete at the position since Michael Vick. And if Josh were running for all of those yards and on as many plays as he does people would be screaming about that as well. They'd be moaning he runs too much, he's not a real QB, he's not the long term answer, blah, blah, blah. Winning doesn't matter around here unless your QB is throwing for 350 a game and 3 TD's. Haven't you figured that out yet?
  15. Yes, but Lamar's been getting his RB on in that time so that makes him worthy of league MVP discussion.
  16. It will all hinge on whether we can stop the run. If we can hold Chubb and Hunt in check then we should be able to win the game. I do worry about Dawkins and Ford/Nsekhe facing Garrett though. Hopefully there is a gameplan in place that takes advantage of his aggressiveness. Slip screens, draw plays(with the RB's and not Josh), and some quick passes. Another thing I am hoping to see is someone light Landry's b**** a** UP out there on a crossing route or something. I could live with a 15 yarder as long as his dirty a** is leveled on Sunday.
  17. Yeah, maybe I should change my wording a bit. He's not getting beaten deep or anything, but he is getting targeted a lot and routinely gives up first downs the last few weeks it seems.
