  1. Beane's comments on Cook make me think of Gabe Davis. They have a number in mind and they will not exceed it. I also think he doesn't appreciate the way Cook's side has handled all of this. I also believe he expects Cook to play out his deal this year. Still wouldn't surprise me if he was moved.
  2. It depends on how the situation is viewed from within. If it is viewed as something that would be a distraction to the team and cause problems, I think they look for the best deal from a team that will give him a contract like he is looking for. Comp picks can't bring peace or develop team chemistry. Sometimes it's best to go ahead and remove the person from the situation.
  3. Made a couple of trades to move back. Picked up a 2nd and 4 3rd's in the process. I know this would NEVER work out this way, but one can dream 56. Walter Nolen / DT / Ole Miss 62. Alfred Collins / DT / Texas 63. Darien Porter / CB / Iowa State 66. Bradyn Swinson / EDGE / LSU 71. Elic Ayomanor / WR / Stanford 93. Gunnar Helm / TE / Texas 95. CJ West / DT / Indiana 169. Kyle McCord / QB / Syracuse 170. Teddye Buchanan / LB / California This would give us a upper tier 3-tech prospect, an upper tier 1-tech prospect, an upper tier CB prospect, an upper tier DE prospect, a solid WR prospect who is being heralded as a sleeper by some, a CLEAR upgrade on Quintin Morris (and a TE who could develop into much more), another 1-tech guy with solid potential, a backup QB prospect, and the ole LB/ST's guy.
  4. So we have Benford for 5 years at $79.4M. That is a good deal.
  5. Now this is more like it. A defensive end who could only muster 4.5 sacks in a college season, and is better against the run than getting after the passer.
  6. You never know. It's hard to say how his interview process went. He fits right in as a Chiefs player though.
  7. He might only have 2 years in his knees, but that's 2 Stanley Cup's
  8. Yeah, the Bills aren't going for that. If he starts a holdout that even keeps him out for TC and most of the Preseason, I think he's gone. They'll take whatever they can get for him at that point and send him packing. They will not allow a RB to become a distraction. We got rid of a WR last year who was a constant thorn, one that all of the outside heads said this offense couldn't make it without, then JA17 wins MVP. Cook will be treated the same if he becomes a problem as well.
  9. The taxes and insurance alone will take the rest of his $$$. No wonder he's so skinny, he ain't got $$$ to eat.
  10. Hey, if you aren't worried about chasing a ring, chase the $$$. I'm sure Cardi is high maintenance anyway
  11. A couple of 1-Tech's (Priority #1 imo, one early), a 3-Tech, a couple CB's (Priority #2 imo, one early), a WR (a speedy WR who can stretch the defense), a DE. That's 6 picks there.
  12. Trading up for another CB
  13. He's not outrunning most defensive linemen with that time, more or less CB's, S's, or LB's.
  14. I know the Bills had met with Restrepo at the Combine, but he won't be hearing his name called by us. He makes Keon Coleman look like Tyreek Hill.
  15. Here is his Combine profile. It says he basically doesn't attack the run game consistently at this point, but he can be effective from sideline to sideline. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/nick-emmanwori/3200454d-4d08-3509-4f43-ab1aefccbd0f
  16. It's crazy that the Eagles are at #12 with Hurts, Barkley, Brown, Smith, Goedert, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Jordan Mailata all getting BIG $$$.
  17. We find ourselves in need of an infusion of young talent across the board. Too much to push all of our chips onto the table for any one player that we would get from this draft.
  18. First three selections on days 1 & 2: CB, S, CB, just for you my friend
  19. This list says we met with Collins. https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2025/02/buffalo-bills-2025-nfl-combine-prospect-meeting-tracker-latest-news-reports-and-notes.html It is possible the first list I posted is incomplete though because I think they get 30 meetings at the Combine. The first list only has 24. There are 30 listed on this link. I will update the original post to include the ones I missed.
  20. What are the possibilities that McDermott has a huge man-crush on Safety Nick Emmanwori?
  21. I can think of some other "prominent" names as well.
  22. I don't think he has talked himself off of the team per say, but I also don't believe his approach has helped him in the slightest. I talked about this in the other James Cook thread. I believe, and this is just my 2, that this is part of the reason why you see all of the other guys receiving contract extensions and he has not. Beane and Co. have a number in mind, and I expect that nothing will make them go beyond that. If that number was $15M then the deal would already be done. It's obviously not and no amount of reposts, 👀's, or social media scrubbing will help his cause. I think if Cook is to get traded, it will happen Day 1 or 2 of the draft. I think teams will want to see how it shakes out with Jeanty, Hampton, Henderson, and Judkins. If they are all gone by mid 2nd Round, I think the phone will start ringing. The most likely teams I think would be in are the Cardinals, the Raiders, the Giants, and maybe the Titans. The Cardinals would have a good foundation on O (if they still believe in Murray) with Murray, Cook, MHJ, and McBride. If LV goes OL then WR, or WR then OL, they could look to trade for someone like Cook. Daboll and the G-Men could look to trade for a proven RB and use their first couple of picks elsewhere. The Titans need help everywhere on O. If they end up drafting Ward, Cook would be a nice get to pair with the young QB.
  23. From the visits thus far, I believe it's safe to say we will be going DT, CB, WR, or S with our first three selections.
