The OL is a bit concerning. The running game needs to be there for Josh. We can't put it all.on him again. We have to be better. The Safety position is concerning too. The play calling might not be in Babich's hands for long. They let the Bears go up and down the field with ease. Still, it's the first Preseason game.

Caleb Williams WILL play against Buffalo on Saturday

I'm more interested to see how Rome Odunze looks against our DB's. -
Deshaun Watson: Trust Fund Baby (UPDATE 10/26: 60% through Contract)

You can't expect this guy to come back from his injury and immediately be this good, can you? -
Oh, I didn't know the 49ers were trying to get another WR in return to go along with compensation in picks. No one is going to give them that. Aiyuk will likely be stuck this year then. I imagine that the demands are just a ploy by SF to keep Aiyuk and say "we tried".

The one team I don't see really mentioned, but the team that makes the most sense to me, is the Washington Commanders. They have $36M in cap space, just drafted whom they hope is their franchise QB, and this would give them three really good options at WR. McLaurin, Aiyuk, and Dotson would be a tough cover for defenses. I'm almost starting to think a trade doesn't happen though. Pearsall just got injured and McCaffrey is battling a calf injury. They don't want to give away arguably their top receiving talent to leave the cupboard bare. Also, the 49ers are seemingly asking for a steep return.

And then watch Haslam try to assemble his All-Epstein Team.

Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)

I'd take my chances with Bass kicking it. I'd rather have Bass win it than hope the other team loses it. -

This could go down as the worst trade and contract in NFL history. They traded for someone who had not played football in over a year and handed him $230,000,000. This was after all of the details came out about his sexual predator nature. The first fully guaranteed contract in NFL history, and it was given to this guy. Unbelievable. He's played a total of 12 games the last two seasons to the tune of 14 TD's to go with 9 INT's, and they are stuck with him through the 2026 season. The Browns organization deserves what they get for rewarding this guy for degenerate behavior. Feel bad for the fans, but that's your boy Haslam. -
Good for Tre. I wish him well. He was a great guy and a class act. On a side note.... I wonder if he's switched from having a Goalie Academy to a Modeling or Acting Academy? You know, LA and all.

It's a tough break for Hopkins, but they added Ridley and Boyd so the cupboard isn't bare.

He attempted the exact number of passes Josh Allen did in college. He wasn't the full time starter until last year. He wasn't awful, he was inconsistent. The last two years at Tennessee he threw 30 TD's to 5 INT's. Yes, if he gets with a QB guru to tweak his throwing motion, and gets the mental aspect down, then look out. He could surprise a lot of people. I did preface that statement by saying not everyone is Josh Allen though. Not every QB gets to the NFL and then puts it all together. Milton is blessed with the physical tools though.
-
What? Is that really your argument for Josh being put at #12?
-
Lamar isn't even on the same level during the Regular Season despite two MVP's.
-
Josh Allen, the #12 player in the league? And the first person they have him behind is Fred Warner?
-
Hoping it's just a hyper-extension with no structural damage. He's almost surely getting an MRI today.

Should we be concerned about Milano in pass coverage this year?
H2o replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
Truth is Milano is now 30 years old. Not everyone is Lavonte David. He may never be the same player again. I believe Dorian Williams will be ready to step in and play a big role on defense if need be. -
One solid season as a starter and B💥💥M. Kinda sketchy to me.

Good for Tua...... Better for us. We know what he is.

Josh looks like he's in his best shape ever upon arrival to TC this year. Just my 2. -
Xavier Worthy injured during 1st practice as a Chief
H2o replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand your point on his build, but Smith was cooking everybody in college and that was while playing an SEC schedule. It's why he won the Heisman. Smith was also an excellent route runner coming into the league. Worthy has never been close to that on either front. Let us not forget the Chiefs just had another burner at WR, who was a bit bigger, they thought would play that deep threat role. Didn't quite work out with Mecole Hardman. -
Pretty sure the Dolphins were banking on him being a heavy contributor on that defensive front with the ongoing rehabs of Phillips and Chubb. I wish Barrett the best in his retirement.
