  1. You may be right. It is kind of weird situation to gauge imo. Some guys have been relatively successful in our system, then when they got paid and went elsewhere did nothing for the most part. Even still, all it takes is one team/GM to say, "he's our guy." We shall see I guess.
  2. Let me try kindergarten terms for you. Russ with Pete, good. Russ without Pete, bad. Geno without Pete, bad. For 8 years he was bad. As soon as Geno with Pete, good. And that's EXACTLY what I'm saying. Pete Carroll made Russell Wilson look better than what he actually was. Just like Pete took a JAG and made him one of the top QB's in the NFC last year.
  3. If you were following the rest of what we're talking about, then the comprehension part might be there for you
  4. And what did Geno do last year after doing absolutely NOTHING for an entire 8 year career? 69.8% completion rate, almost 4,300 yds, and 30 TD's. Sorry. No, I will not give Russ more credit.
  5. More chances doesn't mean better chances. The better chances are that which include a Bills win.
  6. Is this going to turn into the argument like we once had over Jadeveon Clowney a few years ago? In Clowney's case people were arguing about pressures and how he affected the game, even though he never showed up on the stat sheet (especially sack wise). Just like Jerry Hughes too, always being around the QB and never finishing the play. Excuses, and more excuses. Von has looked better the last couple of weeks, but no one needs to "cut him some slack" for anything. I've watched him run himself out of plays and be basically ineffective quite a bit. It is what it is. And unless he ends up suspended, we're stuck with him next year as well.
  7. I got a Bills jacket and long sleeve shirt.
  8. I think Pete Carroll was an absolute genius who was able to mask Russ' deficiencies over the years while in Seattle and then "sold high" while he could. Look at what Carroll turned Geno into after being a career JAG.
  9. 1. Christian McCaffrey 2. Lamar Jackson 3. Tyreek Hill 4. Josh Allen 5. Brock Purdy
  10. I actually think Epenesa will end up somewhere on a 1 year, prove-it type deal with another team next year. I expect that to be somewhere in the $8M-$10M range. I don't think any GM is going to hand out a bunch of gtd $$$ to a guy who hasn't consistently produced. If he shows out next year with more reps elsewhere, then he'll cash in for real.
  11. This is one of those deals where the stats don't tell the whole story. Russ is a vet. He should be able to pick up on things fairly quick at this point as there isn't much he has not seen. He's having a problem running Sean Payton's offense the way Sean wants it run. He also misses wide open WR's on the field an awful lot, and has since he arrived in Denver. Can't tell you how many times he's had guys wide open for what would have been drive extending plays, chunk plays, or TD's and he just doesn't see them. He's also holding onto the ball, A LOT, and it's led to him being sacked 3 times a game on average. This doesn't count how many other pressures or hits he takes because he's back there looking clueless at times.
  12. Wilson to NY straight up for Daniel Jones
  13. I don't. It's all about the #1 seed for them. They'll be up for next week against the Phins.
  14. Let's flippin gooooo!!!
  15. The hits keep coming. First Purdy's MVP chances go down like the Titanic and now they lose their All-Pro LT.
  16. Shanahan is one of the best in the business at getting production out of RB's, and yes the team around him is good, but he had a couple of monster years in Carolina too when he was healthy enough to play 16. He's one of only 3 players to have both 1,000+ yds rushing and 1,000+ yards receiving in a single season. The other two are Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk. It's not all the team he's on.
  17. I said it in the MVP thread, that it should be CMC. CMC would be a monster with or without Purdy. Purdy wouldn't be having nearly the success he's had without CMC. He's gonna have well over 2,000 total yards and 25 or more total TD's.
  18. Abracadabra, cap space be cleared.
  19. We won, even though this win might as well be a loss because of how close it was. Josh sucks. We're doomed.
  20. I call it finding a way to win. For the 5th time this year, Josh goes right down the field so the team can get a lead in the last 2 minutes. We had three turnovers to their none, and gave up 13 points off of those turnovers. The defense did their job after Josh took us down the field and Bass knocked one through. Ed Oliver had one of those "closer" moments getting a huge sack. I was just talking about this in another thread a couple of days ago, how I feel Ed and Floyd are our "closers" this year. You can sit over there and be all mad eating your fruitcake. I'll be happy we're still in the hunt and control our own destiny. I don't care if we win ugly the rest of the year. Just win baby.
  21. Well, Gabe's mom, you done trippin for the rest of the regular season? 6 targets, 4 catches for 130 yds and a TD.
  22. A win is a win, and we need two more to get in. Go Bills!
  23. I don't see it when he's out there on the field.
  24. I think we actually have those this year in Ed O and Floyd. Ed is having his best season by far and we all see what Floyd brings to the table. I like either of those guys to disrupt a play when we really need it.
