If the Bills would have listened to me (and Kiper) and drafted Jimmy Clausen in 2010 the drought would have immediately been over. We would be calling Clausen the GOAT instead of Brady as we'd have won at least 7 SB's ourselves. Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix would have already been inducted into the HOF. He would have single handedly ended world hunger, brokered world peace, and prevented climate change. The world would have been a completely different place.

Bills 2022 Offensive and Defensive Splits
H2o replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
The 2nd Half scoring on offense is pretty telling. Possibly teams figured out what we were doing and made necessary adjustments coming out of the half. It could also be complacency because we had a lead. These guys need to put their foot on the gas and bury teams versus letting them hang around in any way, shape, or form. -
The guy who brought everyone down was Saffold. Saffold is the leech here, sucking the life out of the rest of the OL with his ineptitude. Feliciano was better than him at LG and D. Williams was better at RG than Bates. We need to upgrade the pieces before we start throwing beach chairs at people.

Quality work once again my friend. Thank you for the write up. -
Figured that was the injury as soon as it happened.

Cowboys looking for an OC - part ways with Moore
H2o replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moore is going to the Chargers. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/01/30/chargers-announce-kellen-moore-as-their-new-offensive-coordinator/ -
$11M for a Slot WR is steep. He was great in 2021, pre-Josh McDaniels. He had the concussion this year, but was never incorporated in the same manner on offense either. Just my 2.
-
You can't just keep shoving the money back. It's always going to catch up to you at some point. We also better not hand a LB $18-$20M with all of the holes everywhere else on the roster. That in itself would be stupid. They're better off letting both Poyer and Edmunds walk then looking towards the draft for replacements.
-
With the cap situation we are in, I fully expect Edmunds to be elsewhere next year. Too much money to pay him what the market is at and WAY too much money to use the FT on him.

Parris Campbell is also the NFL version of Mr. Glass. You breathe on the guy and he gets injured. He's played a whopping 32 games in 4 years. That's an average of 8 games per season. No thanks.

Reassessing the Over-Reactions to the Divisional Round
H2o replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
Top 10 at the least and a couple more receiving weapons so they can't just bracket Diggs leaving Josh with nothing. -
This is not encouraging at all. This smells like we're in for a "screwed by the cap" excuse type of season where they pretty much just run it back and fall short again. I hope I'm wrong, but another year of Diggs and Allen could be flushed down the bowl if they don't nail every single move.

Dawkins, Saffold and Knox added to Pro Bowl
H2o replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Saffold was absolutely HORRENDOUS out there and he gets to go to the Pro Bowl for it? What, did the other 142 qualified players turn it down? -
The fact of the matter is he is not. Pete Carroll is a genius. He made everyone think Russell Wilson was a top tier NFL QB for years. Wilson leaves and he's nothing more than a JAG. Enter Geno Smith. The same Geno Smith who has been a nobody throughout his entire career, but made nice $$$ as a backup. Now, Pete Carroll turns him into a division winning Pro Bowl QB. Make no mistake about it, if Geno goes anywhere else other than back to Seattle he will transform from a solid NFL QB back into the 💩 he'd always been.

Reassessing the Over-Reactions to the Divisional Round
H2o replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
Build a top tier OL, get Josh 2 more legit weapons, and watch what happens. If the defense can just be in the top 10-12 at that point then we'll bring home a Lombardi. Protect Josh, get him some help, and it's a done deal. -
Bengals will be the team to beat for years to come
H2o replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I said before, pride goes before destruction. The Bengals were all arrogant and feeling themselves. Then what?........ Here comes that L. The fools like Mixon, Apple, Burrow, and some of those other clowns can enjoy the SB from home or elsewhere just like the rest of us common folk. -
Cowboys looking for an OC - part ways with Moore
H2o replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moore isn't the problem. The team was winning even with Cooper Rush at QB. They were 5-1 against teams like the Giants, Bengals, Commanders, and Vikings. Moore was calling those games to put him in a position to succeed. The only game they lost was against the Eagles. Dak is a problem and his turnovers. Jerry is a problem and his building of the roster on offense. Moore is a scapegoat, but I also believe this is going to have a two-fold effect. I have a feeling Payton is not going to take a job this cycle. If McCarthy fails while calling the plays then he will be out next year. Some people tend to think the job will be Quinn's and that's why he hasn't left yet, but I believe in the back of Jerry's mind he could still be angling to get Sean Payton in there. -
I don't believe he is too laid back or casual at all. If anything, I think he gets too amped and takes too much of the weight upon himself to do extraordinary things. Another problem with that is outside of Diggs, the talent is very ordinary or below average. If you don't think Josh was crushed inside about losing to the Bengals then I don't know what to tell you. He is the ultimate competitor who has had to scratch and claw his way through everything during his life in sports. There was something off about the team. Hard to say what it was, but it's over now. Hopefully, we have better fortune with injuries next year and they do a thorough, good reshaping of the roster.

49ers @ Eagles, NFC Championship (not a thread for Bills debate, please)

Josh is the toughest SOB in the NFL right now. Takes a beating every week. Plays half the season with a ligament tear in his elbow. Never complains. -

He can't throw the ball. They will go full Wildcat on the next drive with Deebo and McCaffrey if Johnson is done. -
