  1. Now here's a guy with "bust" written all over him... Him too....
  2. This, I agree with....
  3. This, I agree with....
  4. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/10/nfl-patriots-tom-brady-draft-college-michigan-scouting-report Interesting physical characteristics and a common skill set : "Brady possesses an unspectacular arm, but it’s good enough to play at the next level. He can drive the ball downfield, especially on in-breaking and seam routes." "From a mechanical standpoint, Brady is among the best in this draft class. Of the top quarterback prospects, only Marshall’s Chad Pennington and West Virginia’s Marc Bulger really compare. Brady’s eyes and feet are totally in sync as he goes from one progression to the next." "But when Brady is asked to work the short passing game, he is at his best, because of his ability process information and get through his reads efficiently."
  5. History repeats. Stir, stir, stir....
  6. Rosen Mayfield Allen Darnold Jackson Rudolph
  7. Well, poo. Whatever they say, it's certain to be wrong....
  8. Assuming they can fix the D-line. That's the achilles heel right now and Smith would need some big bodies taking up blockers (paging Star Lotulelei!) to be most effective...
  9. As much as I'm excited about the draft, having to suffer through two more years of meh QB play doesn't seem so exciting. The pressure will be on to get the 'savoir' on the field in year two. Can't see the patience to let him rise the bench until year three...
  10. By that chart, 12 + 21 + next year's 2nd gets you there...
  11. It's Hollywood, man! Special effects and PR...
  12. I was going to say what a stupid straw man thread. Then I saw who posted it and realized no further commentary was needed...
  13. Glad you're not the GM. No one in this QB class is worth that kind of haul...
  14. Are we going to play 8-man football? We need some bodies coming in to plug the openings we're creating...
  15. If we go this route, I'd rather do 12, 22 and next year's 2nd. Beside the QB, they need talent now. And 53, 56 and 65 would help plug a lot of holes...
  16. Glad to hear it. I'm all in for Rosen too, but that worries me since my track record for evaluating QBs has been so poor in recent years.
  17. If the 12th and 22nd get them up to 3rd for the QB, I love what they can get at 53, 56, 65 and 96--picks in that range generally are the backbone of a good team! I hate giving up Glenn with so little depth on the OL. But if we get a guy like Price or another stud in round 2 it will be a coup...
  18. And Dawkins played less than one season. It will be much harder for Dawkins in year 2 once teams tear apart film and game plan for him. So they save $2 million on the cap by trading him now ($4.8 million savings vs. $2.8 million if getting rid of him later in the year). I hope that $2 million is worth it in terms of a low-level FA or some other move...
  19. You mean sort of like the noncommittal answer Beane gave about TT at the combine??
  20. I agree. I want to see how his rehab goes before tossing him overboard. He has value and can help the run game if they put their best five guys on the field...
  21. This is the victory lap year, IMO. Perfect timing for a changing of the guard...
