  1. Interesting story of the Hot Rod. He got his name from his time growing up in Winnipeg, Canada. His highschool football team was the John Taylor Collegiate Pipers and he also played on the Winnipeg Minor Football team the Winnipeg Rods. hence.....Roddy Piper. Cue "more you know music from NBC"....
  2. This coalition government we might have (and don't get me started on what a fiasco our ENTIRE government is...right now I'm praying for a military coup....) is actually more PRO-CFL than the current government. Harper didn't seem to be too concerned with the league but the Liberals are strong bedfellows with many of the CFL owners. This coalition actually hurts the Bills chances of moving to Toronto even further. And I wouldn't have it any other way...
  3. Is your last name Jauron? Because how do you not see what a MAJORITY of "needy fans", the media and other teams around the league see about Dick Jauron? He is a career loser with one anomaly of a season which he followed by proceeding to lose his job two seasons later. You can defend him until you are blue in the face but Dick Jauron will NEVER (and this I am 100% certain) lead the Buffalo Bills to a Super Bowl. And as fans, if we expect any less from this franchise every year, then we are doing a disservice to the city of Buffalo. You may have accepted mediocrity but I for one will never, ever expect my Bills to be bad.
  4. And how well prepared was the offense? And how energetic did the team seem in both those games? You'd have to blind to not notice how lethargic and listless the team looked coming out of the gates. Whether you want to admit it or not, Jauron is losing this team in the locker room. Josh Reed was on AChannel in Toronto to promote the game last night. He was asked point blank: "Are you prepared for games?" and Josh paused...stuttered and responded with: "It just seems lately that we aren't ready for the other team and they seem more ready for us." and then he backtracked when the reporter dug further and mumbled something about the players getting ready during practice...
  5. Marshawn is the only guy who doesn't wear a jacket...of course other than JP, he's the only other player that's really embraced being from Buffalo. The kid from Cali is BUILT to play in this weather and he knows it. He thrives in it. He was having a blast out there on Sunday and our IDIOT COACHES decided to reign him in instead of letting him go yayo on the 49ers in the 4th quarter. DJ: "Hey guys, I hear Marshawn is averaging over 8 yards a carry in the 2nd and 3rd quarter...think we should keep running it?" Turk: "Are you kidding me? They have weak pass defense, let's go aerial with a cold QB who hasn't taken snaps since the Arizona game! WOOO! I'm a genius! I'm so creative!!" DJ: "Good call Turk, it's decisions like this that make me proud that I promoted you after the unfortunate leaving of the greatest offensive mind I've ever met...Steve Fairchild. I asked Ralph the fold the team when he left, didn't think there was a reason to go on anymore...then you came along."
  6. Except the Cardinals are actually going to the playoffs because they TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A WEAKENED DIVISION AND LIGHTER SCHEDULE!!!! Unlike our merry band of tards that pissed it all away thru BAD COACHING and HORRIBLE PREPARATION.
  7. Save for Marshawn and Freddie...they're ALL Glove Wearing Mary's....... Am I the only one who thinks Marshawn actually has FUN in cold weather. He never wore a jacket, was bopping around like he was in a winter wonderland....we need 52 players built like him. Not like the rest of these gutless p***ies.
  8. From the Canadian point of view, all I can say is that Rogers faced a very up-hill battle to get an NFL team into Canada. The CFL were ready to lobby the government to keep the NFL out of Canada for fear it would destroy its league and the government seemed to acquiesce. On top of that, there was the fan backlash that came with the over-inflated ticket prices and the feeling that the NFL experience in Canada will be 'sanitized' (there is no tailgating allowed in Canada....it's terrible). Will the Bills move to Toronto? Hopefully not, but if they want to get them there, it's going to be very hard for them to do so because of the government interference. Rogers did seem like the only guy who didn't give a hoot what the rest of Canada thought of him.
  9. When you're run game is averaging 2.3 yards a carry up until that point and the last time you were down there you got stuffed on the 1 with three consecutive runs, then YES YOU PASS. But hey, don't let logic get in the way of your inexplicable man-love for Dick Jauron and his coaching incompetence.
  10. I dunno, why don't you ask Dick for us when he comes to speak at your next fan club meeting?
  11. How sad is it that with an injured groin, Trent couldn't throw the ball (didn't know the groin was connected to his arm...) yet Big Ben is still throwing 30 yard strikes with a separated shoulder.....? And you didn't answer my question, with Jeff Fisher as coach of the Bills, would the team be 6-6 right now?
  12. I've got a friend who plays in Chicago and played one season under Jauron. Thought he was a nice guy but didn't help the team enough to win big games. Said it was night and day between him and Lovie.
  13. Honestly BC, can you tell me with a straight face that a coach like Jeff Fisher would have his team as ill-prepared for games as Dick has? That he wouldn't be able to sit a player like Trent down and get him back to an expected level of performance that Dick hasn't been able to? I just can't see how you don't think the failure of this franchise isn't at the feet of the coaches.
  14. The Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins would like to disagree with this statement. In today's NFL with drafting and free agency, it takes absolute front office incompetence to not be able to create a playoff-calibre franchise in less than two years. Only in Buffalo do some fans feel that a 10-15 year rebuilding process is the "norm". F#CK Jauron, F#CK our entire front office. We're going on 9+ years of NO PLAYOFFS. Where is the accountability to the fans? Where?!?!
  15. Come on reddog, it's well known around the NFL that Dick is a go-for-the-jugular coach! I mean, think of all the blowouts the Bills have had against teams (especially the bad ones)..... ...there was that game against KC and....umm....did JP help us beat Cincy once...? I can't remember...
  16. I believe it's the same contingent of people who believe Dick Jauron is a good head coach and provides "stability" to the franchise.....
  17. Yes...this would be a great idea....considering our California QBs wilt at the sign of a snowflake and our idiot coaching staff likes to keep the ball out of the hands of our bruisin' MADE FOR THE ELEMENTS running back. No offense guys, but if they opened the dome, the Bills would be kept to 3 points again. Advantage: Dolphins.
  18. See: Moulds, Eric. By the time Lee can leave Buffalo, he'll be past his prime and only a team like Houston will take him on. I feel bad for the players on this team. They try hard but are under-prepared and ill-prepared by the coaching staff. Now they are starting to figure it out that the coaching is letting them down.
  19. I hope he gets better. He's easily the best sportswriter at SI and has a wealth of knowledge and experience with the game. I always loved his visual descriptions of what it's like to play in Buffalo in December and the "Hawk". Get well soon Z.
  20. I was wondering who was still left that thought Dick was doing a good job....
  21. Like I said, I think Evans has opened the gateway. You're going to hear more and more players call out the staff. Hopefully, it will be enough to get Wilson to listen and scrap this abortion of a coaching staff (except for Bobby April).
  22. http://www.buffalonews.com/453/story/509598.html Latest article from Sullivan...what got me was this quote from Lee Evans. "It's really hard to put your finger on one thing," Evans said after the Bills' perplexing, 10-3 loss to the 49ers. "But when you get down there [the red zone], you've got to have a certain attitude that you have to get in the end zone. You let your linemen be your linemen and you let Marshawn [Lynch] do his thing. We really didn't have a whole lot of balance down there, and it cost us." It's funny that when he said the same things about Fairchild early last year, some of you were calling him a malcontent and "upset" that JP wasn't throwing the ball anymore. We should all be listening to him because again it seems like Lee is RIGHT. What the f#ck is up with our offensive play-calling? Is Turk the right guy for the job? Four trips to the redzone and three points tells me YES. So now what? I think we're seeing the beginning of a coach losing his team. All the "but the players play for him" talk that people keep saying about Dick means nothing after two embarrassing losses at home to non-playoff teams and watching a great start disappear into a massive collapse. I truly believe this is the beginning of the end for Dick Jauron. Wait and see over the next few weeks how the players respond. I think they come out again with no fire against the Fins. Trying to tell Ralph that "we're done with this guy". The players thought they were playoff calibre. The coaching needed to get them there. It didn't. Next please.
  23. What about giving Dick Lebeau a shot? I for one would love to see a bruising, punishing defense predicated on crushing the will to live from your opponents. As opposed to Dick-less Small Ball "Keep it close enough to win with the last drive" Football™ that we have now.... I HATE DICK JAURON.
  24. Tell you what, either argue coherently or go f#ck yourself.
