  1. Sigh...was hoping he'd be a signing this year. Him and Cook would have....cooked.
  2. Guys...my friend and his famiily were on the same flight home with Josh today. Apparently, he was able to be very sweet to their daughter (a huge fan) and took time from stuffing his face full of airport food to take a picture with her, sign an autograph and tell her how awesome it was to meet a Bills fan in Paris. I've asked my friend if I can share the picture but be warned, he may seem grossly obese to some...
  3. His skills as an actual WR are debatable but he's an EXCELLENT blocker. And apparently he is very good at reading blitzes and breaking them up. His absence there was noticably felt against KC.
  4. There was a recent suspension in the NHL where one player (Shane Pinto) got suspended for HALF the season but the NHL was very nebulous on what he exactly did and made a blanket statement that he "did not bet on his own team". Through people I know, what had happened is he had his friend make a bunch of "prop bets" on him and he went out of his way to meet them (i.e. number of shots per game, hits, points, etc.) This is going to happen more and more.
  5. But the reason it won't be truly discussed with the racial element attached to it is because no one will be honest as to WHY crime and especially crime amongst black men in inner cities is so high. Because that requires us to look at the institutions/policies/systems that were put in place to bring such levels of abject poverty and lack of opportunity that crime becomes palatable. It's just easier to sit there on a high horse and say "black men are more violent than white men" without any context whatsover.
  6. It's also especially rich that when the mass shooter is white, the media trips over itself to humanize the shooter, determine "why" he did what he did and have a whole slew of interviews with his neighbours about how he was a nice guy who kept to himself. Meanwhile, if the shooter was brown or looked Muslim...
  7. He doesn't have a mental problem...he's just stupid. He's a stupid athlete whose gifts throwing an oblong object prevented him from trying to become an educated member of society. Not only that, his skill and fame gave him a sense of invincibility.
  8. I just wanted to bump this because this was so well said. No one wants to look into WHY gun culture is gun culture. The 2nd Amendment has been around forever, but this raving need to own as many guns as possible (gun sales always go UP after media-publicized shootings) is a NEW thing. In the 80s and 90s, no one was screaming from the rafters about banning guns, or stocking up on AR15s....what happened?! How do we get back to "common sense" and guns?
  9. As someone who is not American, why is the only option on the table "take away ALL THE GUNS"? Most people just want some sensible gun legislation that at least TRIES to keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them while allowing those who abide by the law the right to carry them as per the 2nd amendment. There were gun laws before, most have been repealed. I just don't get it.
  10. I'm genuinely surprised that the NFL, a league that's driven to make as much money as it can, does not want MOAR FOOTBALL to sell advertising on. Especially knowing they can charge even more as more eyeballs tune in for OT.
  11. No chance...he is driven by the want to be the greatest of all time now. If he can still go, he will play til he can set every record possible. I can see him pulling a Tom and being a mercenary at the end for good teams once KC's window closes
  12. At the end of the day, where is going to go, even if he wanted to be traded? He wants to win a Super Bowl. Period. He's made that abundantly clear that is his motivation. What contender has the cap space to bring him on?
  13. A lot of words to end with "SOURCE: I pulled this all out of me arse." What poor play did he make in the 13 seconds game? Did he tell them to pick "heads" on the coin toss in OT? A lot of you folks really need to let go of this belief that Mahomes is otherwordly and some sort of Mental God over Josh. The only difference in terms of talent and skillset is that one has the greatest offensive coach of our generation calling his plays and his players always make plays for him, they don't drop sure touchdowns in the playoffs, shank kicks to the left, or inexplicably let a team march into field goal position after not squibing a kick in under 10 seconds.
  14. I hated the Pats during their run, but it was more out of pure jealousy because of how shoddy and poorly run the Bills were in comparison. The entirety of the AFC East was a joke and essentially, every season started with a bye for the Pats. With the Chiefs, I hate how they are the ONE team standing between us and the Super Bowl. We FINALLY have a great team again but we're just not great enough...it's infuriating
  15. False. The Chiefs make mistakes, it's just that teams don't make them pay for them AND they're resilient enough to overcome them. Case in point, right at the start of the second half, Mahomes throws a terrible pick on their side of the 50. The Chiefs D stands stout while the Niners do nothing and then just punt the ball back. Another 3 and out gives the Niners great field position, and they do nothing again. Next possession, the Chiefs score and they keep scoring.
  16. That's one thing that really worries me about the current Bills...have they accepted that losing to the Chiefs are an inevitability now? Seems like they "we just can't get it done" narrrative is going to stick to them. Compare that to the Bengals. They are brash and fear no one. They don't have the same talent as the Bills and Chiefs but they love punching teams in the mouth and laughing at them. And they don't give a rat's arse about "respecting what the other team has done".
  17. This reminds me of being a Winnipeg Jets fan in the 80s. They were clearly one of the best teams in the NHL, lead by a generational talent in Dale Hawerchuk (y'all know Ducky)...it's just that they continually got bounced in the first and second round of the playoffs by this stupid team from Edmonton who happened to have some dweeb on it named Gretzky. The 80s Oilers are considered one of the greatest teams/dynasties of all time. Those 80s Jets? Just a footnote. I really, really hope that Josh Allen's Bills don't end up as a footnote
  18. Mahomes could get hurt on the first play of the season and be out for the year…and the Bills will still somehow find a way to boof it.
  19. Not to mention the worst collection of receivers Mahomes has ever had. Now they’ll find a way to get even better on the offensive side of the football…lucky us.
  20. It’s just infuriating knowing that it’s just this one bleepin’ team that is stopping the Bills from winning multiple Super Bowls. Every year we lose to them, we’re clearly the 2nd best team in the league.
  21. I think this is what bothers me the most about any Mahomes discourse. The revisionist history that the Bills goofed by not taking him and trading the pick. Those of us around this board would all agree that maybe a handful of people liked Mahomes as the Bills pick in that spot. Majority of us didn't think at all that he was on the Bills radar. Also, does it really matter since they drafted Allen anyways? We're not 2 time Super Bowl champions because Mahomes has been light years better than Allen, they have the rings because Reid is light years ahead of McDermott.
  22. They knew he had a significant injury to his throwing arm and instead of shutting him down, let him gut it out leading to him having a very sub-par season. Knowing that, they let him take all the blame for the team's performance and rarely stood up for the guy. And to thank him for putting the team ahead of his own health, they dumped him unceremoniously for the Gummybear Bandit - Portrait of a @SS Grabber and made Mr. Massage the highest paid QB in the league. Prior to that, he had a different OC every season and had no consistency on the coaching side of things.
