  1. Letting him go was a good move by Whaley.
  2. Whaley has brought some really great talent to the team. The team is arguably the most talented since the late 90s. But he has completely mismanaged the QB position at every level possible. That is a fireable offense, and overshadows all the good he has done.
  3. He also missed some ridiculous passes. Ej lost the game today.
  4. He's had 14 games. He should be playing better than that by now. The guy can't hit an open WR. Throws behind them all the time, overthrows long balls, and when finally someone is so wide open even I could hit it, the WR needs to slow down. I was all for being patient for a while, but he's awful. This team is too talented to have a crappy QB ruin things for them. He needs to sit and watch someone else play QB. If EJ is going to be a good QB, he's going to need an epiphany to get there.
  5. HD for me on my local channel through DirecTV. I loathe time warner, and am happy I no longer need to give them a dime. Internet is through GreenLight.
  6. Why do you think the Cheatriots were able to reclaim so many older players who were on the decline, but suddenly with the pats they were productive again? I think the "Patriot* Way" included some additional chemical enhancements for the old guys.
  7. Who would we cut that we aren't trying to develop? Who's potential are we willing to sacrifice to bring in Bailey who is an old guy who will be here for a year?
  8. Exactly the kind of doom and gloom, worst case scenario thinking we are plagued with. I don't think we should think that way. It is fatalistic, and can promote a self-fulfilling prophecy.
  9. I miss hearing that guy talk. What a hell of a defensive coach he is!
  10. Thank God that buffoon didn't buy the Bills. He may be a decent businessman, but he's still a moron.
  11. Yep, if you take one thing away it opens another up. I really like Chandler, but if we had a playmaking, hyper-athletic TE, even along the lines of a Witten, the offense would be amazing.
  12. Just stop reading his stuff. He takes a negative angle so often, you can often tell his articles just by the title. Don't give him the page views, folks, and the problem will take care of itself. Nobody forces anyone to pay attention to him, so I don't understand why people subject themselves to an asshat they don't like. I don't mind objectivity, but I don't find him objective because he ALWAYS searches for the negative angle. So I don't read his stuff.
  13. Who cares about the fine? That is pocket change to those guys. I'm more concerned that the damn refs don't throw the flag, giving the other team a very real and specific advantage.
  14. So Chandler is better than Gronk?
  15. He can go pound salt. Maybe that's what he's doing.
  16. Is fix a synonym for "Rosen"?
  17. Rice should be banned from the NFL for life. You don't hit girls, especially if you are an NFL player who is bigger and stronger than the average person. This guy is disgusting. Ban him.
  18. If you suspect it is database issues, many times it is disk I/O. If you host the database on the same server as the web server, chances are the drives are configured for serving web pages, and not the transactional nature of a database. If you have an easy way to archive, that's probably your best bet. Also make sure you have proper indexing and standard database maintenance (nightly reindex, transaction log maintenance, updating statistics on a regular basis, etc.) Or you could try the brute force method and either throw more hardware at it or move it to Amazon (or other cloud service of choice). Just my $.02.
  19. I'm sorry, but what? You're either a troll or ignorant.
  20. Solid pickup by whaley
  21. I have no problem with leadership conflict. Usually that happens behind closed doors. The only sin here is that they did it on the field, which is a huge mistake. I don't know how many of you deal with executive leadership and upper management (your replies proclaiming doom and gloom make me think not much), but this is very common. Most of the time it is healthy, sometimes it isn't. Either way, I'm only mildly concerned by it.
  22. That's awesome. He's an uber-talented dude. Objective, fair and just a great professional. I remember reading him after studying Journalism at Fisher and thinking, "This guy has got *it*."
  23. Every year they went to the SB, the Bills had a bad preseason record. The best was 1993, when they went 2-2.
