  1. Really? You posted this as a possibility? You can't renig on a trade, dude. And also, cutler is a douche.
  2. Be careful what you wish for. Walker - the guy before him - is a dolphins fan, and was even worse. The guy outwardly hated on the Bills for no reason. Well, there was some reason, but he seemed to revel in pissing off the fans of the team that he covered.
  3. I would love to hear a better idea at QB that will make us feel better. Anyone have one? There's basically ZERO QBs of quality in FA. There's nobody to trade for, and there's only two in the draft, and even they are destined to be backups.
  4. I know what you mean, and agree somewhat, but Ii guess my point is a 40 time isn't a good measure up of useful speed. But I know what you are getting at.
  5. The combine is overrated. A 40 time is such a small part of judging players, it is hardly worth considering.
  6. Maybe if he was 30, but no. He's 35. That would be moronic. I'd give a 3rd round pick for him, that could turn into a 1st if we go to the SB.
  7. No way. They wouldn't even get the pick they paid for him back. Unless you are Jerry Sullivan, who thinks he should be cut.
  8. Really? No mention of LBs? No mention of WRs? No mention of Gilmore? The defense was nasty - one of the best in the NFL. There's no way that should have landed them at 24. Not sure why commenting on such idiocy, but I guess I did anyway!
  9. The guy has always been an ass. I'm not sure you can change a personality trait like that, no matter what punishment he's had. He been cut multiple times for his behavior. I hate having players like that on the Bills. That said, I bet he's on a short leash. Any BS and he's gone. And our guards were sofa king bad last year, I'd say we are definitely at the point of desperation.
  10. The day he quit and showed his true quitter colors. Bills fans obviously don't quit, and neither should players or coaches. He clearly didn't have what it takes to be a buffalo bill. Screw him. Talk to Don Bebee about what it means not to friggin' quit.
  11. Maybe she's got a good personality.
  12. I read the GM and the advisor (casselry?) liked him, but Woody Johnson didn't want to do it. If I was to speculate, it is because nobody trusts a quitter.
  13. The risk is using a 5th round pick on a moron, when we could use the pick on someone who might actually be useful. JFF is a douche, he doesn't prepare despite warnings, and he sucks. He's Ryan leaf with less talent.
  14. I don't actually know how the substitution rule is written, but if you think of it in terms of players switching positions without much notice, it is a substitution. When a WR lines up as a OL, then decides he's a WR again, with someone outside of him becoming a OL, it is a substitution.
  15. The problem here is that players switching positions on the field is actually a substitution. And when the offense substitutes, the defense should be able to substitute. It isn't cheating according to the rules, but it is actually a position substitution when you think about it. It needs to be addressed.
  16. No, for chrissake, this is not the same thing as friggin holding. If someone needs to explain to you the difference, than your thread isn't worth my time.
  17. Most definitely not overblown. There are rules. They are there for a reason, and therefore should be followed. If players and coaches felt that a rule was stupid, they could petition to get it changed, while following the current rules. That's the way rules work. Follow them, but petition to get them changed if you don't like them. Doing anything else is cheating. Cheating is not right, and there's no way that breaking a rule can be misconstrued as OK for the sake of the game. I'm actually surprised that my fellow Bills fans would display anything BUT a respect for the rules. Disappointed, really.
  18. Man, I loathe cheating. It disrespects the game. Based on history of cheating (not to mention the stuff the NFL knows about but has done nothing on), Belichick should be suspended. They won't do it before the SB because it makes too much money, but given what New Orleans got, the cheater should get at least 8 games.
  19. I didn't think I could hate Sullivan more than I did. The guy just got here, and he's already trying to find the negative angle. Seriously, when did beenig an assh0le become good journalism? Really? You agree with that no talent assclown? What he does goes beyond objective criticism. He seeks out a negative angle. That, my friend, is crappy journalism. It is what you are taught NOT to do in journalism school. If you've got a guy that tries to find a negative angle before a guy has even set up his office, there is a problem. Reconsider your Sullivan worship. He's a prick, and his articles are worthless.
  20. Not listening. What did he say?
  21. The only risk I see here is having CJ head to the Jets. Chan sure as hell knew how to use CJ. I'm not sure we want to face that 2x per year.
  22. Stupid picture. It isn't even related to the "story."
  23. While I think Whaley has done some really good things, I've got some concerns about him. Big concerns. 1. He has badly mismanaged the QB position at every level. He's chosen crappy starters, and basically ignored the backup QB position year after year. Heading into his 3rd year the position is an absolute mess. 2. The offensive line is a horrible mess. It has regressed over the past two years, and some of it is personnel - it isn't only Douchebag Marrone's fault. How can you so badly manage two of the most important areas on the team? There's almost no excuse for it, as good as some of the other things he has done.
  24. You usually don't hire someone until all the interviews are done. It only makes perfect sense.
  25. This is crazy. You really can't compare the two WRs because there are so many differences on the teams, including players and opponents. Making it into an apples to apples comparison is stupid and a complete waste of time. What you can talk about, however, is given the status of the personnel on the team (for example, QB), ask some pertinent questions. 1. Was it wise to draft a WR that high given other needs? 2. Was it wise to spend two first round picks on a WR given other needs? 3. Is it wise to expect and count on first year success from ANY draft pick? 4. How is it possible to completely mismanage important positions (OL, QB) and select a position (WR) that depends on the success of the mismanaged positions? My answers: 1. You shouldn't, unless you are sure that WR will be a difference maker on the team for years to come. You damn well better be 100% sure. (Jury is still out) 2. No, it was stupid given the other needs, and missed opportunity by losing a 2015 first round pick. 3. You should NEVER count on first year success from any draft pick. You can't bank on a rookie being great the first year, but that doesn't mean they will suck. Marcel Dareus is a perfect example. 4. It shouldn't be possible to completely mismanage the QB and OL positions for 2 years and still have a friggin' job, especially when you spend your picks on a WR. A WR is useless when you don't have someone to throw to him, or someone to block for the guy throwing to him. It's like buying a great pair of speakers but using a transistor radio to power them. Useless waste.
