The number of unvaxxed in the WR room is a competitive disadvantage. From a rational standpoint, you need to be able to field a competitive team. It isn't about what you believe, it is about risk. And winning. Given that Beasley, Mackenzie and Davis aren't faxed, you lose 2 maybe three of your top WRs for multiple weeks if someone makes a mistake. Man, that's not a risk I would want to take as a leader.

I think what makes Buffalo at a competitive disadvantage is who may not be vaccinated. Beasley and Davis are two of our top 4 WRs. We all saw what our DL was like last year with Star. And Milano and AJ are two key LBs. Oy. If it was special teams players, we'd be having a different discussion ... if at all.

Makes me proud to be a Bills fan. There's no reason why what you do outside of work in your relationships / who you care about / who you love should make a difference at all in anything. I'm glad that fewer people feel the need to keep this hidden, as if it is some evil little secret that is something horrible. It isn't. That said, I don't think all teams in the NFL at the time would have thought the same way. It says a lot about the guys on that team.

They definitely need more competition in camp for the 1 tech position. We've got a player who is still coming off a serious injury and a guy who didn't play last season. I think Star is a good player, and Harrision has potential, but we need to do better than that at 1 tech.

I can see your point. At the same time, you can criticize Whaley and like what McCoy did at the same time. It's not his fault whaley was a moron. He still balled out, and even the years that weren't as statistically good (except for the last - he was done), he was still a player to raised the level of players around him, especially when the team was lacking talent - which is the fault of Whaley.

I'm a manager at my day job. I take leadership very seriously, and it is very difficult to do well. I look to McDermott as someone who does it right. He leads from the front. He's there for his people both personally and professionally. His message is consistent. He treats everyone the same. He preaches love of your fellow teammate. You have no idea how hard all that stuff is to do, but I guarantee you've all had bad managers who either couldn't pull it off, or didn't even try. Cheers to McD.

Maybe none of the 5th round choices are any better than any of the the 6th round choices. You get to the lower half of the 5th through the 7th and they are all pretty much the same, right?

Made the AFC Championship game last year. Found our franchise QB. Hit on a number of other important picks, FA pickups, and trades. Has shown they know when to let someone walk - Lawson, etc. Yeah, it would be silly to bet against them.

That's a lot of picks (I know equivalent to a 2nd) for a tackle who will want an expensive contract. Not having all those picks is going to come back to bite them, as those are valuable, low-dollar draft picks who help build a franchise. Brown is cheap now, but with all their other high-dollar players, how are they going to pay him? What if he walks next year? That's a ton for a guy they might not have under contract but for one year.

Maybe a good incentive would be that you don't need to wear masks on the sideline if you are vaccinated. It is outside, although you are within 6 feet of people. And selfishly, it drives me crazy seeing people who can't properly wear a mask. I know it is the OCD in me, so forgive me!

A strong 1 tech that commands double teams is key to a good pass rush. We don’t really have that other than Star. We have plenty of 3 tech, but we aren’t good enough at 1. We need to get one, somehow.

After Star, we're extremely weak at a 1 technique DT. I'm hoping we can find one. The way we rotate, there needs to be good depth behind Star. We saw what happened last year when he wasn't there. The D wasn't as good, and we had trouble getting to the QB. So that's what I'm hoping for somewhere in the remaining offseason.
