The Deep State War Heats Up
DC Tom replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Am I the only one who's first thought was "What'd he do to the Clintons?" -
To all Bills fans in the hurricane’s path

My wife lived through Andrew. She still has to have a flashlight in every room, "just in case." That was an unholy B word-mother of a storm. -

Mamayev Kurgan, Goddess of Victory: AOC's not exactly being subtle. -

The Wimp is the third and last of the Seawolf-class, but built lengthened 100 feet for a module to accommodate drones and divers. Supposedly also has some additional propulsion, command, and communications features. It's basically a special forces submarine. Lots of sneaky-beaky close inshore work, or tapping communications cables and underwater intel (e.g. recovering Soviet garbage from the bottom) type stuff. Not "super secret," if only because no one ever talks about any US sub missions. -
Not even satire. Facts and logic have been labeled tools of oppression for at least three years now.

Bills Players Kneeling in End Zone

Worst kickoff formation I've ever seen. God, our special teams sucks. -
How's Your Day at Work? Is it Worse Than This?
DC Tom replied to ocemur's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Not unusual. Rhinos are angry and stupid and very strong creatures, and there's reliable reports of them doing to trains what that one did to that car. -
Your understanding is correct. Russia Times is wrong. You don't look for aliens in the near-infrared spectrum Webb is optimized for. Deep space observations are dine in near-IR. RT is just pulling nonsense out of their ass with that statement.

Everything Joe Biden--Gaffes, Miscues, Touching, Songs
DC Tom replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well...okay, one detail was correct. -
Personal recollection and diaries are frequently classified. Just one example: Admiral Charles Lockwood, Commander, Submarines, Pacific in WWII, was required to lie in certain parts of his memoirs about how Japanese convoys were tracked, rather than talk about US Navy codebreaking efforts against the Japanese. And that's just one example. There's plenty of others. Remember Sandy Berger pleading guilty to sneaking his own handwritten notes out of National Archives without submitting them for a security review? Tom Clancy was investigated for things he made up seeming too true. Rangappa isn't just wrong, but is demonstrating amply why she's a "former FBI special agent."

Mocking the "well-spoken black man" as effeminate. How unsurprisingly racist of you.

But that was like, totally Iran's fault! (Really, I can't believe Rogers stayed in command of Vincennes after that. Even though it was colossal *****-up by almost the entire US Navy.) -
Thanks, Obama!

"Information concerning the President's foreign-policy decisionmaking" is a very big no-no. That's easily an indictable offense.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

Trump responds: "Hannibal was a great military leader. Best ever. Did great things with BA Baracus and the rest of the A-Team." -
Suomussalmi was near the top of my list. But not below Kharkhiv, Kiev, Uman, Bialystok, the first Iasi-Kishinev operation, Rzhev-Vyazma, the Lyuban Offensive...

Greatest defeat ever inflicted on Russia? I can 50 greater defeats, easily, off the top of my head. Probably close to 100.

Some of the replies to Comey..."It wasn't wrong, because you're fighting against a great evil. You're a hero." It'd be funny if it wasn't sad. Only reason I can see for not recommending prosecution is because they're teeing him and others up for bigger things, for which prosecuting him would get in the way...

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
DC Tom replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And you know...one of the reasons this is so funny is because it's atypically coherent of him.
