  1. Well I was trying to not give the spoiler away.........
  2. I'm thinking this is just BB and Kraft's way of having some fun. Since they have been the dominant team for so long, they are just getting bored with the same old, same old, they wanted a challenge so they decided to now see if they could win by only using white players. Next year maybe they only go with pretty boys who wear Uggs, year after that, maybe only guys drafted late in the draft.......
  3. You have never read that storeyline before? its Epic the Avengers are split over getting the upgradeed package with the heated seats and backup cameras Ironman wants the top package, Captain America wants to get the base and go with the extended warranty, all hell breaks loose when the dealer brings up leasing or financing the sale...............
  4. I don't think its going to happen, but I would not say I would be shocked if they trade a RB to the Eagles, but the running back being McCoy. Now with Chip gone, I could see him quietly asking the front office that if they had the chance, they could move him back to the Eagles. like I said, I don't think it will happen, just that I wouldn't be shocked if it did.........
  5. Is she the girl from Napoleen Dynomite? Thats who she kind of reminds me of
  6. Whats killing the game, like many other things in this world, is the internet, and fantasy Football. Back in the Kelly days, I would bet there were just as many good/great QBs as there are in the league today, the difference is no one paid so much attention to stats and film outside of the NFL office then the fans do today because they are too busy playing armchair GM/Scout with whatever footage and info thrown out there on the web today while trying to fill their fantasy team. and yes, back then teams took their time bringing up players, partly because they didn't have a huge chunk of their salary cap tied up in first rounders forcing them to have to start and make an impact right away, and also back then organisations gave coaches and GMs time to build and work with their rosters. Now your lucky as a coach or GM to get 2 years to turn a team around before being shown the door and the new guy with a whole new system comes in. (not that it isn't always terrible to cut your losses and ralise a mistake is a mistake early *cough* Rex Ryan *cough*)
  7. that would work if he wasn't run out of the league like he had leprosy, if he was still playing I would agree, cause right now Timmy Do's career isn't much more successful then Johnny Don'ts
  8. his new nickname could be Johnny Don't, then they could get someone squeaky clean to be the one who does everything safe and right
  9. there's talk he is going to be given the ability to compete for the starting job or could also be flipped to the 49ers as part of a deal for Kaep, reuniting him with Chip
  10. Wasn't Miller of the Broncos saying he was going to be working out with Johnny this off-season? They couldn't work out a three-way where johnny goes to the Broncos and Kaep goes to the Browns to kill his career?
  11. They are going to target Richie, then dumpster dive to fill the remainder of the roster cause there's no cap space left. Then, they will draft a bunch of starters in the draft and the combination of the wonder twins scheming the defence will propel the Bills into the playoffs and SB contention. Or we will be back here next year talking about who they will be letting go of that will fit the new coaches system......
  12. but isn't there a rule that they can only talk interest in one another and can not discuss contract details. They can call him up and say they are interested in him but can't say how interested (money and length of deal)?
  13. they can RE-sign him for 5-6million? Really? You know what he is asking for? When did you start working in the Bills front office?
  14. Yup, I understand that, I was just commenting on the part about why a team would transition tag someone since there's no compensation attached to it
  15. but doesn't it give them the right to match an offer? Basically it let's them make a 1 year offer and the player test free agency to see if they can do better. If the player gets an offer, it give the team the ability to match it or let them go. It's not a bad tool for players that aren't franchise tag caliber but you also want to keep at the right price
  16. Ah yes, the Ol' reliable trustworthy Wikipedia When you want the facts, you gotta use sources from the internet that allow users to post the Information........ Baseball has a soft cap where if you go over the only penalty is a tax. Hockey and football have hard caps that you cannot go over on. You can do some accounting tricks to work around it, but you can't go over it
  17. Weren't they the ones to coin the term? Personally I don't see the issue. They aren't portraying the name or people as bring anything negative. It's not like they are called something like "the Irish" and have a drunk logo or mascot, or call themselves "the Mexicans" and have a logo or mascot of someone in A poncho or sombrero wearing a hat. The name and logo are supposed to represent a tough, warrior type of person. They should be more offended that Snyder keeps putting a crap team out on the field that's making natives look bad...... I'm guessing the Brit's would prefer we all use the creative names of their futbol teams? Let's see how many teams can somehow use the name FC?
  18. Yup, everyone today care just about the finish, not the bones/structure They will pay top dollar for the best stone countertops, cabinets and flooring, yet will have the house built with standard wood studs and regular batt insulation as cheap as possible. When they are planning their project they put all of their budget into the end stuff and not making sure the stuff behind it issound. Its easier to replace a finish then it is to replace structure later on.
  19. I'm good with him just wearing his dads shoulder pads........
  20. With all potential FA pickups, it's going to have to be asked "will they come cheap" Unless they move some more salaries out, that's the only way they will be signed NY guys. I think Whaley may have to look more at trades and getting creative if looking for upgrades.
  21. I could help if you were further north.......... Up here you only need the secondary egress (window) out of the basement if there is a bedroom located down there. I would recommend putting one in either way just because you can get some additional natural light in there by having larger windows, but here its not a requirement Also as said above, if theres any signs of leaks or moisture, FIX IT PROPERLY NOW, it will cost you now but save LOTS of time and money later...... Agree too on not closing in the Furnace and hot water tank together, make sure theres room around them wherever they are so that they can be accessed for maintenance and repairs/replacement. I would recommend putting down something like the DRIcore subfloor (plywood T&G squares w/ plastic spacers underneath) over the concrete before putting your finished floor down. You could also use something similar to a delta membrane that they use on foundation walls and then hardwood over it depending on the hardwood thickness. I would recommend staying away from using carpet if you can and use an engineered wood product thats good for basement or high moisture areas Never put wood directly against concrete, so if your framing in a wall, the bottom plate should be on a gasket or atleast a strip of poly or roll roofing/tar paper. For the exterior walls either space the studs away from the concrete 1/2"-1" and make sure you don't push batt insulation in too far so it touches the concrete unless theres a barrier between the insulation and concrete otherwise the insulation can wick moisture from the wall and become soaked. and don't put plastic between the concrete and wood/insulation. Keep the insulation atleast 6-8" off the bottom plate of the wall too instead of going all the way down with it. The top half of the foundation wall around grade is where the insulation is really needed and most effective, down below 4' from grade studies have shown theres not a huge advantage, although most current codes require it full height.
  22. I dont think the problem with the pass rush is an issue of needing players, we have/had guys that can do that, problem is we have a coach who's 'scheme' doesn't call for a pass rush from those guys....
  23. I didn't put any money on the Super Bowl and I'm not a huge Can fan, I have no issues with him but find it funny how everyone seems to hate him because he's having fun.
  24. When i went there I stayed at the Luxor, it was pretty cool Didn't do any gambling (only bet on sports and at the time we got there late on a Sunday so all the football games were over and hockey was on strike) We stayed 2 nights, spent our only full day walking the strip checking out the different casinos The morning we left we went to the 'Gold and Silver Pawn Shop' from the Pawn Stars TV Show and then drove straight to the Grand Canyon (I believe we stayed on the south rim for the night before heading to Scottsdale for the rest of the week. My favorites from the trip, the turkey sandwich at the deli downstairs in the New York New York Casino and another from a store called 'The grasshopper' in the desert off the highway heading to the canyon
  25. I bet there are browns fans looking at that and thinking Vegas is being kind to them..... I know some that would just be honored that they are even given odds........ I am surprised to see the Jets and Ravens with the Bills at 30-1, I can't see the Bills that close to a SB. I was also surprised to see the giants lower then them. They had a bad year this year but I don't think they are going to be bad this season.
