  1. so you just push the injuries into the season instead Football is a physical sport that's going to have injuries. It's one of the only sports where you have a wide variety of size and strength of players. Players keep getting bigger and stronger, which when added with it being a violent sport will lead to lots of injuries. You can't expect 300lbers to be able to move just like 100lbers and start and stop while running and moving.
  2. you say that, but there's a good chance that if you look at all the NFL qbs he has played with that might be true. Orton wasn't great, but he wasn't a dumpster fire......
  3. UBER is a hipster taxi service that doesn't want to play by the rules that taxis have to because hipster like it and don't feel the Yb should have to play by the same rules. The reason why taxis cost more is because they have additional insurance and fees and licensing that UBER is trying to get around. If the Taxi company's were smart they should just drop the additional insurance and licensing and tweak their services to become "ride sharing services" This is similar to the restaurants fighting the food truck craze where the restaurant owners are complaining because food trucks could just role in and set up wherever during peak hours and sell their food without half the regulations that a restaurant had to follow for doing the same thing, serving food to people.
  4. I wouldn't say that the classes weren't working, maybe she thought this whole thing through just like she was taught and rationalized this was the best decision to get herself locked away for a while for the good of everyone?
  5. I love how it wasn't an issue that she showed up drunk to the bar. It wasn't an issue that she showed up to the bar with her child. The issue was she wasn't watching her child and letting it roll around on the dirty floor....... Around here, bars are not allowed to serve you if you shop up drunk already, and I don't think any would allow you to have a minor with you in the bar. They would lose their liquor license if it was found they allowed this. I'm sure this is one of the classy, by the rules establishments with a liquor license.....
  6. Yup, pretty much What's even better is when the player is one that was one of the whipping boys that they couldn't wait to see gone.
  7. wedding proposal, after 74 year and the last one he had you would think he would be done with marrage.......
  8. you don't have a bouncer outside your house?
  9. I think the reasoning is just that, they want to see him show again that he can be a good starter in this league and don't want to hand him a huge deal without seeing another year from him. Unfortunately it can hurt them just as much as it helps. He could play very well again and price his way out of town, and it's possible he decides to not RE-sign until he tests free agency where someone could overpay. The franchise tag for a QB is huge and may prevent Whaley from using it for Taylor. The Broncos could decide to make a move for TT to get some who can play now since Lynch has shown absolutely nothing in the league and he can stay as a backup where they can then trade one of them at a later date.
  10. I would suggest getting the gun IF they are playing Pokemon...... Its sad, I know I'm not nearly as old as you are and yet i still have that same attitude towards this and many things......
  11. So for his next record breaking lift does he plan to lift the Ryan brothers together on their tandem bike?
  12. Good Lord, what is that thing? She looks like she put some plastic surgeons kid through college in the article picture
  13. Who didn't enjoy the old Rough Riders vs Roughriders matchups between Saskatchewan and Ottawa back in the day also
  14. Nickelback makes a ton of money too......
  15. I don't picture Rob Ryan eating at a high end establishment, or any place that may use the word establishment....... I picture him more of a fast food conisseur.......
  16. I don't know enough about this kicker to say he should have been a 1St rounder, very rarely do you find one who should be. But to say you should never draft one before 'X' round is dumb. Very good kickers are not a dime a dozen like some seem to think, and accurate ones that can kick far FGs are hard to find, having one can win you games. The problem has been it's not easy to kick FGs and there's tons of average kickers so teams don't draft them early or at all and just accept average. Carpenter has had one good year in Buffalo, last year he was garbage along with his final year in Miami. His good year may have been more likely to be a fluke then his bad seasons being the fluke..... It would have been great if Buffalo could have gotten a franchise kicker, but I don't think this guy was at a 1St round level or a better pick then Shaq. The thing with kickers is that they usually have a long, Healthier career then almost any other position. I would rather they draft a kicker higher then a punter though......
  17. It's a rule so that players can be identified on the field and it keeps them from being able to sneak players on the field who shouldn't be there. Why wasn't something done earlier, who knows, maybe the NFL didn't receive a complaint about it before so instead of going after them because it became apparent in an article (maybe no one at the NFL offices read the publication it was in?) they let it slide until they received a complaint. This won't be a big deal unless the Pats office makes it one by continuing to defy the rule or fight it. Otherwise they have been told not to do it and the issue is over..... Of course as we speak, BB and Brady could accidently be destroying the unnumbered shirts and say its something they routinely do so it's no big deal after the league asks them for the shirts.......
  18. The only people that hate him, scratch that, the only people that care about him, are Bills fans who are still butt hurt over him dumping the Bills instead of them being the ones doing the dumping and getting to see him fired........
  19. Buffalo has already held a world juniors tournament, it's not a trial run for a super Bowl..... The world juniors is different too, it's over a longer period of time and outside of Canada, buffalo and some European countries, it's not a huge deal. It doesn't attract the big name celebrities and isn't a huge spectacle like the Superbowl. The NFL wants steak and lobster for the super Bowl (big name, warmer cities), big name colder cities are like the chicken breast or salmon, Buffalo, to the people that would be in attendance at the Superbowl, would be a bologna sandwich.
  20. actually I have read that there are 5-6 ready to bring him in and he has other visits lined up....
  21. as it should be since most of us are already praying to a god that something will go our way......
  22. and he's probably right looking at the Fins and Genos Jets. But I think at this point, being just better then those 2 would be like arguing over who's the tallest midget......
  23. I was wondering if they were manufactured in a plant/factory somewhere overseas and shipped here, or if they were made when a mommy and daddy QB love each other very much and smush their bathing suit parts together......
  24. They broke the news on 96.9 (97 Rock) to Steve Tasked thinking he may have already known and he said he had no idea. He was actually breaking down on the air a little bit because he was happy and excited for Bruce saying g how much he deserves it. He said he wants to be there but thinks he will probably be somewhere else for CBS that game (don't think he realized this was the Thursday night game) Definitely deserving for Bruce, and in the near future for Thurman. #83 for Reed could be debated (he was one of my favorites back then) but I wouldn't argue that one either. Some players are Wall of Fame locks, but number retirement is debatable.
