Well atleast not against one of the best in the game currently. Don't think the comeback happens against atleast 80% of the league, but anything is possible when playing against Rogers, Brady and a couple of the games other bests. Coaching/offensive play calling also didn't help

Well if there is one thing we can all learn from this game, Aaron Rogers on one leg is better then Aaron Rogers on 2 legs, lol

Will anything change before week 2?

At first I was thinking no way Peterman get cut, they would only have 1 QB on the roster that knows the playbook and cant go run out and sign the other guy from Preseason cause they traded him and he's property of another team that wanted him. But then I started thinking, would having someone just go out and take the s ap and kneel the ball be any worse then the offence with Peterman today? Or would letting another qb go out and play schoolyard ball drawing up plays in the huddle on their own be any worse? -
I agree, it's on coaching and the front office. They were the ones who believed Nate Peterman is a starting QB (a 5th round draft pick who's scouting report at the draft had him as a backup at most) could come in and start with little development and didnt need to get an established veteran option this offseason. AJ was the veteran, when this team needed someone with more experience to fill in until Allen is deemed ready to take over. There was no need or urgency from the front office to find replacements for the online when they lost 2/5ths of the line to surprise retirements. The line was already a spot that could have used some upgrading and only got worse. Their big upgrades to the WRs was another older mediocre vet in Kerley and some late picks after letting a decent WR walk after dealing for him last offseason. They make another late attempt to improve by trading a 7th for a guy they then gave up on after a few weeks. They cant keep hemorrhaging talent just to acquire more picks they hope can be used to obtain younger talent that might eventually be as good. It wasn't all on the line, they weren't good, but they also weren't horrible, you cant get the running game going when the defence is playing to stop it every play because they know your not a threat to throw.

But spending draft capital and picks on a non QB position is bad, just talk to the Packers right now. Then spent all thejr money on the QB and did it right......

No, your a loser when you call others losers for seeing positives from a sporting event. Even if they lost 100 to 0 there could still be some positives that come from it. No one is using it as excuses, or coddling players with it. But to have watched the game and seen absolutely no positives from it, you should probably go find a better way to spend your sundays.

I didnt see anything happen today that would make me optimistic enough to believe they will win the game, but it's the NFL and anything can happen. The Bill's arent truly as bad as they were today, and the Chargers arent anything special that cant be beat. If the offence shows some life Nd can score they can win. I still laugh seeing people who believe the Ravens arent that great of a team. They have a very good defence and what looks like a much improved offence led by a good QB. The defence didnt start out great, but they were made to look much worse when the offence couldn't do anything to stay on the field. Sustain a few drives and keep the defence off the field for a little bit and the score wouldn't have looked as awful.

They were that one surprise upset that happens in week 1 every year. Detroit could be another upset tomorrow with the Jets surprising and getting the win

In one I'm in, over 60 of 183 people took the Saints as their pick.

Zay Jones caught passes? All I saw were drops or missed passes to him. Game ball goes to the punter. He had no punts in the preseason to having a pretty good game punting more then most ever have to in a game.

Looks like Vegas already knows our starter next week...

Well I'm sure many thought the Ravens wouldn't win by 3or4 TDs..... -

Probably not, they will shuffle the deck chairs at a few spots and dumpster dive for few scrubs on the street right now, but dont expect anything that will be a "game changer" at this point. -
Has Matt Moore been called yet?

Dez wont sign here, I'm sure retirement from the league is higher on his list then here. I see them going for either of the vet QBs that were once Panthers, but they will be brought in as backups only to Allen. Theres no way this team can sign a QB Tuesday who spent the preseason on their couch and have them start. If they sign a veteran, they will be the backup until Allen gets hurt or looks completely lost. -

Might be a better idea to be on the phone with another team to look to trade for a guy who was at least on the field during training camp and preseason. Maybe Beane walked over to the Ravens box and asked what they intend to do with RG3? -
This is just a way of trying to excuse them being bad. You cant as a front office or coaching staff in pro sports continue to give up seasons now to look to the future cause you wont be around long enough to see it through. You can make moves for the future but you have to build off of what you have and improve on the year before. Always looking and making moves for the future is what gets you 17 years between playoff appearances.....

Problem is in week 3 and 4, do you wanna waste the Vikes and Packers this early?
-
Your right, because they now dumped him to the Browns they have to throw Allen into the starter role 3 quarters into the season. I'm sure that's as long as they hoped to keep him on the bench to learn. Taylor kept them in enough games to make the playoffs last year. Peterman cant even make it through a game as a starter

I'm through to week 2 in mine and am not as mad about the result in the game today. Makes me think I might look into the Chargers as my choice next week....
