  1. Bolding and Davis both signed contracts to keep playing and didnt think they were done then. And Boldin (along with Richie) both came out after thinking they could still play and wanted to be released to go to other teams. Who knows if this will happen to Davis too. Wasnt there also a veteran CB the Bill's signed this offseason who up and retired before the season started this year?
  2. They already have pensions from the league. And how many from the 60s and 70s are still around today? We are talking about players who retired 40-50 years ago from the league? If you wanted a better pension for working only a couple of years you should have gotten into politics afterwards..... I agree that I think they should get health care as a veteran player as most end up suffering from playing injuries when they are older. But what do I know, I'm used to not having to mortgage my house to pay a doctors bill when I get a cold....... And how many have current employers who are already paying salaries and benefits?
  3. Was it because he quit, or because of the changes to the play calling? McDermott was a very good DC before becoming a HC, maybe this is an issue where he wants to run his defence, and brought in players he knows can run it, but the guy he made DC doesnt know it as well and wasnt able to run it effectively? Most of the players didnt know about Davis until the end of the game....
  4. But in their defence, if Peterman would have been starting (like McDermott would have wanted) that's 2 offensive drives
  5. A self inflicted cap mess..... You assume/hope. I would really say they "took care of" those other positions just yet. They are good at starting Safety but still need CBs. They have a young MLB who is looking overwhelmed and not great out there, and a DL that's old and looking ok (at best). They have a QB who hasnt proven anything just yet and while he has flashed some ability, he still hasnt shown he can be a franchise guy, and they have no backup You can assume/hope next offseason is when they focus on those other spots bit these guys in charge have not shown any indications of this. Also, they may have alot of cap space next offseason, but isnt FA where teams get into cap trouble by overpaying for talent? Ate they just freeing up cap space to overpay for others to put them back into have cap issues?
  6. Not sure why anyone would be surprised, this fro t office and coaching staff dont care about the offence, they will search high and low uncovering every stone for a defensive player, and throw whatever scraps they find out on offence. They just released the teams most experienced WR the week they are starting their new rookie QB so they could bring up a bench DT in case they needed an extra rotational guy. The offence to them is an afterthought.
  7. Is Musk gonna call him a pedophile if he doesn't stroke his ego the right way?
  8. How bad is it for the Browns? Having to sign Buffalo Bills castoffs?
  9. Wasnt he there for the coaches before Jackson also? Doesnt seem like anything has changed for him. Probably fake news.......
  10. You know your getting a guy who has spent more time suspended then on the playing field and could be very close to another one.
  11. Are these the same doctors who said AJs collarbone was broken, then reevaluated to say it was fine?
  12. If you are looking to see who they will eventually pick up up, take the list of whose available, throw away the top half, and pick a vet from the bottom of the list who may have flashed some potential in the past.....
  13. It's still going to end up being a pick/asset to take him on. I dont think the league approved any trades that have a condition that would not result in the team that is giving up the player not get a return from the other team.
  14. The Bill's used to struggle to sell out games and suffered blackout multiple times a season, Jacksonville just decided to get around that and tarp off the upper level to get around that, Ralph figured he didnt want to lose out on selling those tickets for the couple games they would sell out. The stadium yesterday was looking pretty empty after halftime.
  15. They show up to tailgate and get drunk. The Bill's used to be blacked out all the time for not selling games out. After the first month or 2 of the season you can typically buy tickets on the resale market for a fraction of their face value. They are no more loyal then any other teams fans......
  16. .....And they noticed that he was odd and believed he may have relapsed again. Of course the team is just going to say that there is no concern with drugs so he wont be suspended, that's going to significantly impact a trade market for him as they are believed to be more likely to trade him then just release him. Coleman at least is able to be on the field to play. With Gordon theres a very good chance your only going to have him on the field until his appeal is denied by the league. Fans wanted to run Dareus out of here cause his next strike would be a big one, and now think it's stupid not to give up an asset to obtain a guy who is 99% likely to be out again for another year when he fails a drug test again?
  17. Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bill's fans arent any more loyal then any other teams fans in any sport. And so what if they made comments or jokes about what happened, this franchise is becoming the joke of the league, guys just up and retiring just because (4 abrupt retirements since last training camp, not including Woods forced injury returement) and the last one comes during an actual game. It could have been worse, he could have walked off the field during a play and retired, at least he waited til half time. When has that happened before? They have sent Nate Peterman out there twice as their starting QB and had ot blown up in their face, have traded away almost anyone on their roster worth anything for picks, and have taken a team that made the playoffs into one that may go winless in one offseason all voluntarily while carrying the highest dead cap amount in the league (by a huge margin)
  18. I think it has more to do with more people accessing the internet through phones and tablets that use digital keyboards and autocorrect today. Those devices will sometimes change the word and you didnt even realise it did it. For others it is because it's only an internet message board post, not a dissertation or an English Essay in school. As long as people get what you are trying to say, it's good enough until the language police show up to complain cause the grammar or spelling isn't correct.
  19. He might just be getting back from a suspension in 2021........ You sure about that? They just decided before week 2 that this talented WR they have been very patient with for years and are finally getting back on the field isnt worth keeping now? The report when it was announced they were looking to release him was that it appeared he may have been relapsing
  20. Exactly People do realize he is probably getting suspended again, and its believed that the reason they are letting him go is because he showed signs of substance abuse again. How is he going to help serving another long suspension? This isn't some WR that is being moved cause he dropped a few passes or struggled with the offence. They are done with him cause he cant stay off drugs and make it through a season without being suspended again. As for Dez, I would have no problem bringing him in, but i think the bigger issue is that he has no interest in coming here unless he is grossly overpaid. Cleveland has shown interest in him, but he hasnt shown much of that interest back i them and seems content to stay sitting until a better team comes looking. He doesnt seem desperate enough to be looking to take whatever offer is just given to him.
  21. The Lions arent good enough to be the Pat's, even if Patricia knows all the inner workings of that team. BB will have everything changed by then
  22. The play should have been called dead once the helmet came off. It didnt sound like they blew it though but it could also be a situation where after the play they would call an 'intent to blow the whistle' and just call it dead at that point. Because Jones never got out of the endzone with it, it could only be ruled as a touchback for the Bill's, but if he had fumbled before losing his helmet then a LA recovery could be called a TD I believe.
  23. It was the returners fault for not calling for a fair catch on the play. Because of it he takes the risk of being hit like that, it's why the fair catch rule exists. As for Jones, there was a ref in the endzone who looked like he was right there to see the helmet come off but stood there and did nothing but watch
  24. If their teams cant afford to keep them, how are the Bill's and their limited cap space because of their dead cap going to do it?
  25. Another franchise to run into the ground?
