  1. I have had an 87 and 90 YJ, both had tons of issue, but loved them. Used to wheel the 90 pretty much stock all the time, they are great because of their size. I traded in a 2008 JK Unlimited I owned for about a year to get my Nissan. Jeep ended up with the death wobble and was looking at a large repair bill to fix it, so the wife suggested trading it in to get a truck which I usually need for around the house. (I was thinking of going newer jeep with a trailer) Once they announced that they were bringing out a Jeep pickup based off the unlimited I have been wanting one cause its pretty much my dream vehicle (truck and Jeep combined) Really hoping they aren't going to cost as much as they are rumored to right now (in the mid to high 40's in Canada). Although since its a jeep, I don't mind buying the most basic model and upgrading it myself when I can afford to.
  2. They used to be, not as much anymore though..... I owned an 80s Toyota pickup that I bought in rough shape and fixed up when I was younger. The friend I bought it from was a huge Toyota 4x4 truck guy and was always bragging about how the Hilux motors were indestructible I managed to destroy the motor in it on the first drive from my house (more then around the neighborhood) in it, spun a bearing and lost all the oil somehow. This is the same Truck that the guys on Top gear did everything they could to destroy and couldn't. Ended up putting in a new motor but had stalling issues I couldn't figure out so I sold it off and bought a 2wd dakota
  3. My next vehicle is hopefully going to be the new Scrambler pickup next year since I can't have a second vehicle (a jeep) right now
  4. TRD is only worth it if you actually offroad it, basic 4wd in the other models is good enough for the average person in poor weather. Toyota trucks have always been known for better quality. The Chevys never seem to be known for that. Difference though is the toyotas also hold their values better so its gonna cost much more then a similar Chevy which will also typically be cheaper to fix most things. I do like the look of the newer chevys though. I own a 2015 Nissan Frontier, the 4 door model just below the big offroad package. Has pretty.much everything but lockers and the roof rack that the higher model has. I haven't had any issues with it, has about 50k miles on it. Gets about 300 miles to a tank with the larger v6. I have only had to change the tires on it along with typical maintenance. My only problem with it is that I need to move up to a full size cause 3 kids seats in the back is too much of a squeeze.
  5. Yeah, no one said you dont need talent or strategy, just that he feels culture is more important when building a team then just talent for strategy. They know they need talent, but if they are evaluating between players, they look at they type of person/player they are as much as their talent
  6. I didnt say that, but to say it is only because of Brady isnt true, we have seen other QBs step in for Brady and still win, but we haven't seen them win without BB. Guys like Moss, and TO have tons of talent, but how many championships? Kelly and Marino have how many SBs between them?
  7. Well except when he is out and the backups fill in and they still win......
  8. I wouldn't say they are richer, they are owned by a corporation so Rodgers money cant just be spent freely on them, they can only really spend what they make. It's not like the Steinbrenners who can just reach into their wallets and spend whatever cash they want. And the Jay's do have a huge payroll, thanks in part to Martin (who I do like for his leadership and willingness to do whatever to help like playing almost the entire infield) and Mr collected a full paycheck for 0 games played/I'm a shortstop only Tulo. But Rodgers does like treating the Jay's like they are a small market team in a big market. That's the entire reason they went after Shapiro to run things, cause he was in charge of the Indians and ran them as a small market franchise. If you noticed with them, they never had alot of success on the field until he left, but they had a nice stadium and game day experience. Kinda what Rodgers wants. Support the team no matter the record like the people of Toronto did for the Leafs, and sell out the stadium buying expensive beer and food while hanging out with your friends. Hopefully the Mets do us a solid and take them off our hands this offseason to ruin (oops typo, I meant run) their franchise. The front office is already starting the 'soften you expectations for next season' press releases as it's going to be another 'development/evaluation' year with the younger kids being brought up to fill the roster while they slash payroll and stay out of FA signings that didnt come out of the dumpsters. (I keep hearing 'expect more Jaimie Garcia type signings' this offseason to fill out the roster, and Oh/Axford/Clippard types that can be flipped at the deadline for assetts)
  9. Disagree about the Pat's and culture, the have 'the patriot way', if you dont come in and confirm to it, they discard you. It's why alot of players that have been issues with other teams in the past are able to come.in and not be an issue there. He even said, they arent talking choir boys, this isn't them looking for players who would leave the game to help an old lady across the street. The 'culture' they want is team players who care more about their team and winning then individual stats, and live for the game, not guys who live for the paycheck.....
  10. What he is saying isnt wrong. You can come up with the greatest strategy to win and its useless if you dont have a culture/group that's willing to do what it takes to implement that strategy. The best coaches can convince their players, no matter what their talent levels are, that they are just as good as everyone else and can win too, they can get their players to run through a brick wall for them without questioning it. Talent alone doesnt win and neither does just strategy if the players dont have the proper attitude. The way he worded it, and the fact that many are taking just snippets of the quote out of context dont help, bit the point is valid. How many times have you seen sports teams that look like all star teams fail when you think they should destroy everyone based on just the talent? If that was the case then championships would be bought by whomever could sign all the best players.....
  11. They think your trying to do sign language and pass out trying to follow it?
  12. He would be nothing if it wasnt for the Funky Bunch......
  13. You disgust me No team from "Boston" deserves anything but misery and heartbreak. Go hang out with at Wahlburgers with Brad Marchand and lick your photos of Brady and BB....... And nothing would be greater then watching the A's knocking off the Yankees tonight with Liam Hendricks on the mound for them while Severino throws a clunker instead of starting Happ who had been almost lights out since being acquired.
  14. The issue is that they are always turning over more stones to try and find better players on the defence, but wont do the same on the offensive side. Instead of being content with the current bunch of 3,4,&5's, what do they have to lose by trying to find other 3,4,&,5's that may be an improvement over what they have on the roster? It's not like those 3,4,&5's on this roster are world beaters. Maybe they find a 'diamond in the rough', if not what's the worst that happens? They end up with a guy who cant get separation or cant catch the ball when thrown to them? This idea that they will just turn their attention to the offence next offseason was thought as going to happen this offseason to go with the new QB. Smart QMs and coaches build up the cast around their young developing QBs to help them succeed and develop. This offseason I expect the same as this one, dumpster dive for WRs and Linemen, while using the picks and FA to fill holes that come up in the defence. It would be nice if these guys could multitask and work to fix both sides at the same time.
  15. I dont think and Salamanca knows Nacho is with Gus.... The switching of the plans was only done to save Kim the time and work to re file the paper work for the changes that the owner from Mesa Verde wanted to make a few episodes ago. In their meeting he mentions a change to the plans and Kim says that it would take alot of time and work to refile all the paper work to make the changes. Their method was quicker and easier.....
  16. Get picks and dead cap?!?!?!? Beane is getting excited already at the thought! The idea keeps getting better and better for Beane!
  17. I think the Red Sox (and I despise them as much as the Yankees) are the closest team in the playoffs to be considered a "shoo-in/favorite" for the WS this year, but in baseball nothings ever guaranteed. Maybe i dont follow the NL enough, but that side looks much weaker then the teams in the AL right now. If I had to rank the teams for WS favorites, i would have to go Sox/Yankees/Indians as the top 3, then Dodgers as the top 4. The rest just seem like good but beatable teams
  18. Look at that, finally justification for the Raiders, they have more QB pressures on less pass rush snaps! LOL
  19. Seemed like he could have been, if he had been given some time. Cant take a roster spot away from a rotational D linemen though.....
  20. You think that's a difficult decision for this front office? I dont think they sweat that decision.... The problem that many here have with the front office moves is that they are more then willing to cut and sign guys for the defence every week, but dont have that urgency to do the same for the offence. If offensive positions require more time to get someone up to speed, you would think they would be more willing to sign someone know. They constantly turn over ever stone and pebble looking for DBs and linemen for the D, but feel confident enough to have Nate Peterman the only other QB in the room, and dont feel that making moves to find better WRs or linemen for the offence would help their prized rookie QB develop, after him being considered in the draft the QB that would require the most development.......
  21. It all depends on what stage those plans were at in the review process at City Hall (or wherever they were submitted). They may have been submitted and sitting in a queue for review when they came in and swapped them, or they may have been reviewed already and sitting on someones desk in their office. I dont recall if the intent of the Increase was to make the footprint of the building bigger, or just certain uses and areas inside the building bigger? If it was the footprint, then I'm sure there are other forms and paper work where they would have had to include those numbers on the form that would also have to be changed. If it was just adding square footage to some interior space and taking it from some other common or public areas, then it's possible that info would have only been on the plans I would say he doesnt love it as much, or in the same way that Chuck and others in the profession do. I think to him, it seems to be more of a game or challenge to try and win a case that he shouldn't be able to win. It's why he is a defence attorney and represents some shady people. Trying to convince a judge and jury that a guilty person is innocent is like running one of his slippin Jimmy scams
  22. Lol, I loved the old ladies reaction grabbing her purse, and then Nachos reaction to that. And i wonder if the boards decision may have also been based on him graduating from a correspondance school to get his degree and possibly getting something wrong when he was talking about the article in the Bar Journal. They may have noticed in there that he doesnt understand the law as well as he thinks and from his response to the question they don't think he should be practicing?
  23. It will be interesting to see if someone in that office notices the plans for the bank are larger then the original submissions, but I assume that they had not really reviewed the plans there yet. I wonder if the mesa Verde people get suspicious about how she is able to make these changes happen so quickly? I would suspect though that if she does get taken down and caught, it's because of someone catching a slip up in that office and getting the bank in trouble which then things get tracked down to her, and it will probably be something small and dumb that was missed or overlooked. Maybe even something small and minor is found or missed on the plans and because of it things are reviewed closer and things unravel
  24. I didnt mind it, gave a little backstory that the bell wasnt just some bell that someone attached to his chair for him to use, it was something from his past that was from a hit he was part of, makes him seem a little more evil......
  25. True, but Jimmy also is the type of guy who wouldn't be above stealing something someone else said and using to his own advantage, and Chucks speech would have worked well in that situation.
