  1. This opening half drive is where you can separate yourself from lucky physical teams and deflate them. Let's do it!
  2. Bills have dominated this game, but small eff ups cost us 14 large, and bad blocking/RedZone play cost us 8
  3. lamar reminds me of mike vick or jeff george where he will have some really sloppy lack luster games, and will always have a few series where he looks like he doesn't belong (bills did that to him in the playoffs) but then just explodes for video game stats and highlight reel plays. i wouldn't want to be my team's super bowl chances on him, i think over a long season or playoff he will turn up bad at some point and you won't be able to continue, but i wouldn't want to face him in an elimination game either, cuz he can just hit that stride and plays outside of the normal scheme of things and makes the D look silly. if he played w a back like henry he'd be soooooo bad to play against.
  4. i think the main aim has to be decreasing the degree of difficulty our O faces (which with the notable exception of the pittz game, is what we have done this season for the most part). easy pre snap read audibles, get the ball out quick, screens, TE and beez underneath, attack deep when the cheat short and vice versa. if josh is in control and our guys show up, we can put up a whack of points on these guys.
  5. id take him to put us over the top for the chip
  6. im nervous going into the kc game, my head says we will win it, and im tipping us for the chip this season, but i'd be lying if i told you that im not really nervous about how it will all play out
  7. as much as the d stank vs kc before, and as much as our d has improved this season, i totally agree. to win this game we need our O to show improve and put up points. i think 4 TDs are necessary for us to win this game. the D showing out means we get lots more drives w better starts. i have a feeling dabol has mostly switched the O to be much more like the dominant ne o's of old, where they control the ball a bit more and win the rock paper scissors games vs what the d has on the pitch. play action josh allen w our weapons when we are running for about 5 a clip is a scary sight.
  8. it was OVER 100? does the win still count?
  9. i see murray as like -1 to lamar w the feet and creativity, and +2 on the passing (maybe +3). he's a bit like if vick took football seriously at the start of career would be. they aren't a perfect or super well balanced team (rams are better balanced, but laid an egg vs zona) but they have just super stars at a few money positions. they remind me a lot of the cheifs. psycho aggressive on D, to the point of allowing big plays, just a 10 headed monster on O, and kinda genius kinda unstable coaches running the show.
  10. this is the test for me. if we can get some stuff done on O vs KC (imo more mental than physical for our team) and make them uncomfortable when they have the ball, then im firm in my chip call to start the year.
  11. bro, he took away the sky. one thing having our front office love drafting physical freaks gives us, guys like edmunds and groot pop out of there stance and looking like they are jumping before they even extend their legs.
  12. part of it is a fresh lean and supple star, part of it is AJ, boogie, and groot have replaced shaq and that dude w the ginger beard and so on. the whole mcd approach to the D is: secondary play ultra sound smart football, d line comes in waves so every is fresh and making an impact, and everyone on the pitch plays hard and flows to the ball. it's clear on how he has built his teams that he wants at least one super star corner, but after that depth, breadth and quality on the DL is his bread and butter.
  13. he's going to get put in bad positions and make mistakes, but he brings a juice to the field that i haven't seen on the bills since peters was on our team. the difference w him is instead of just being a huge heavy guy, he's an explosive athlete. w knox balling out too, our O should be in 11 most of the season. an extra LB on the field lets us dictate much better in the passing game, and we are so dangerous passing that as long as the running calls and execution stays consistent, we won't be running into 8 man fronts too often.
  14. the D is gonna need a couple turnovers or big stops, and the O needs to score 4TDs. we've been stronger in the first half all season (even vs DC, their points came on total flukes), so i think we need like 17+ in the first half to win this.
  15. BETs best of 1998 line up, with 2015 sensation kendrick lamar thrown in! about a year or so ago i wouldn't have minded this line up, but in my gym the coach's spottify play list always ends up being eminem and dr dre. like always. the irony of Cinderella man by eminem playing while im hitting pads was almost too much the first time i heard it. now it's unbearable.
  16. i presume we can run block decently, but we need to execute that and mix it in, because for how we played last year and how we played vs pittz, our oline is simply a liablity. makes sense whey they drafted three guys this offseason for it. there is just not enough talent there right now.
  17. i recalled the pass rush not hurting us last sunday, and the dc fan board someone linked to on here just had them belly aching the whole time that their d line wasn't showing up. these all 22 breakdowns showed that our o line is really not that good, certainly not up to the task of stonewalling DCs front 4, and that allen pulled a josh allen and strapped the team on the back and rode to W town.
  18. moss just seems like a much better back to me than motor. i suppose motor seems to find the big hole for a massive gainers once in a while, so that's good, but our big need from a running game is first downs and putting the opponent's d where we want them (and not rushing allen to death). I just think moss does that for us much better.
  19. i hear ya. for some reason, i have this idea that dawkins would be a monster LG. either way, our FO wants to get younger cheaper and more athletic on the lines.
  20. down the road some i could see brown at LT, dawkins at LG, williams at RT, and whoever wins it at C and RG. we also drafted that other super athlete in the 4th, and an OG later. would not shock me to see brown at lt, dawkins at LG, who ever at C, later rook at RG, and 4th rounder kid at RT. save as much money and get as young as possible.
  21. i was tipping that he would look good in cackalacky, but he's exceeded what i was expecting at this point so far.
  22. there was one pass to diggs late in the game yesterday, it faked out the camera, i thought for a second the ball was tipped, but the camera man just wasn't fast enough. on the replay, in slow mo, a guest at my house commented that she could barely see the ball. only person i've seen put the ball out that accurately and fast with so little fanfare in his throw was jeff george. as far as his shortcomings, to me it is all in allen's head and feet. he gets the sugar high and that leads to holding the ball or bad decisions, or he gets his feet into the wrong place and just throws from there. the offset of that is his feet allow him to throw darts while rolling out, run for big gainers, and avoid sacks that he has no business doing. as far as his head, his sugar highness is a problem, but he's a freakin dog and will bite down and grind on anyone at anytime, and the team sees that and frankly often plays above themselves. i think the approach of small things to focus on week to week is what you want, you look to refine a guy like him without knocking off too much of the pixie dust. i still think he's gonna go down the GOAT.
  23. well, we know we have talent, and confidence, so that's good. we should have another cakewalk next week, but up after that are some real tests.
  24. all i gotta say about this: if you are nervous about covid, no amount of rigor on the checks for 70K people in close contact will be enough, so if you are scared don't go. makes me think of a guy in my gym, does the BJJ classes. wears a pretty strong looking n95 type mask (i think, never asked him). the way i see it, if you are nervous enough to be the only person in the whole gym wearing a mask, you shouldn't be doing BJJ. a friend of mine's whole family got covid, as near as we can tell they got it going to the giants home opener. vax didn't stop it.
