  1. This o has zero confidence and it's deserved Disgusting
  2. Ya, our o sucks today so far. Cost us 6 points, and penalties took our special teams out of 3 And now we have a touch back, booooo
  3. Ok, so we have some potential on O, but right now we are simply still bad. We need either some hero ball big plays, or to win up front.
  4. We need to make the Jets d make a mistake, play action or something. Need some points bas
  5. That's basically a screw job by the refs. Cost us 3.
  6. Being a bills fan is masochist at times.
  7. I like the d and offensive game plan, not happy about the total blocking breakdown on those two consecutive plays. I kinda feel like we need to run with some success and maybe go deeper to open up the jet d
  8. he was what, 20 total TDs last year in his first season on a horrible O in like 12 or 13 games? This is based on my expectations of him becoming a great QB, mind you, but it's not that massive of a change for him to have 50% more total TDs in his second year with 25% more games and improving, is it?
  9. i think on paper the bills have built an overall better O than the jets, but that requires some kind of assumption of Allen being at least close to as good as Darnold, and our backs not being too far back of theirs. The issue is they are playing together as a brand new team, so you have to expect them to be the worst they are going to be all season week 1. Based on the actual match ups in the teams, and my insane assumption that our ST will not totally suck (they cost us houston and the 2nd jets game last year, just horrible) we should win the first game, but in terms of what has been proven vs reasonably projected, it is sadly rational to think the jets week 1 have a better O than we do.
  10. 30 total touchdowns and he's doing OK, 40 total and he's doing well. 3600 total yards and he's doing decent, that can be adjusted by how well we play special teams and run the ball tho. completion % to me is not as important, conversion rate on 3rd down is, as is turnover rate (on all plays, runs and passes).
  11. you don't add in linemen or shuffle the formation to necessarily take advantage of the qb's skills, if anything you want more weapons and less blockers for that. you change up linemen, go unbalanced, and jumbo formations in order to make the D pick a poison and exploit it, and it's all known pre snap (new england's specialty). short screen passes and running plays behind a massive wall of blockers work vs spread or pass D, and you can put one or two routes over the top vs a run D. if the D on the field doesn't match up well and lines up one way or another, you have all your reads done pre snap and just go. when the pats split a slot guy shallow and have a TE on the strong side, i swear i can guess more than 75% of the time that it will be a quick screen or shallow throw to the slot and an 8 yard gain based on the d line up. it's sad how they keep doing it, so if we are copying that concept, i'm all for it.
  12. NE has put in 6 many many times vs us, and have had 6 and one or two TEs and perhaps 7 from time to time. you've seen this happen, right?
  13. this is a good idea. It's another element in the rock paper scissors of the modern game. if you notice that the opponents don't have the right guys or fail to be able to recognize something, you put in a package that can beat them pre snap and make the execution really simple.
  14. lol, you mean that late round pick who has looked really good in preaseason?
  15. lol, dude, how long have you had that in the chamber? perfect pic.
  16. he's been playing the versatility and formation game soooooooo long i've picket it up, and i'm just a fan. sometimes i wonder if most NFL coaches who have obviously been seeing the same thing just aren't creative because can't seem to do it.
  17. this tells me the pats are having big line issues. one thing we are trying to do, and that billicheck does better than anyone, is keep some players how can play a few different positions. He's had WRs at DB, RBs at WR, WR at RB, TE at WR, TE at RB, LBs who play from like safety down to DT in a 4 man obvious passing down, ILB who rush the passer vs certain formations, from the edge of the line up, and when there are injuries he's had RTs move to LG, C move to RT, and like a guy from the snack stand come in and long snap. to me his greatest feat is engineering all of his schemes to put the player in a place where he is asked to do something he is capable of doing well, and not in a position where he is asked to do something he struggles with. on the other side, he always tries to force players on the opponents into spots where they are just not comfortable. I remember the 2nd game of the rex era, tyrod at home after a big indy win. We scored a run it down their throats TD on the first drive, and forced a quick punt on their first drive. he barked at the LBs on the sideline and then all of a sudden we couldn't run it anymore against them. And they got some cheap calls and made some big plays to dismantle our overwrought D. We were still in the game late, due to some just insane hero plays from tyrod (who just decided the following year to not attempt those anymore) but the same slow dirty d that couldn't cover jack vs us early just shut us down for big stretches of the game by confusing tyrod and keeping in the pocket. i really really hope dabol picked up lots of lessons from all of that and has us always playing advantage.
  18. if he packages say zay and a 3rd and all these extra picks for clowney, then he gets into football olympus for me.
  19. easley and beasley would be an outstanding tandem, at least phonically.
  20. hahaha, i don't even know if you were being sarcastic, but i read it in a super dour jaded bills fan voice (my own perhaps) and it was a cynical joy.
  21. Point: this shows how just trrbl our line was last year. I think we were bottom 3, along w houston and zona. Counterpoint: we had an awful awful tackle a while ago, can't remember his name, but he went on to start at LT for the arizona team with warner who went to the super bowl and shoulda won vs pittsburgh. of course warner gets the ball out like a hot potatoe (no dan quale)
  22. i'm pretty agnostic on Zay, would be a bit of a surprise to see him cut but not a shock. He just seems to have something in his head preventing him from putting it all together. He can catch, he can run routes, he can find a soft spot, he can block, but he just can't seem to do it when it matters most. he's not a burner and is kinda lacking in short area quickness, so he really needs to run good routes (which he does, but only sometimes) and use his body and hands to full advantage. he caught all kinds of odd balls in college, so i think he is capable, but something is wrong with his mind on the pitch. i'd love to see him click and ball out, but not sure he will especially given our young QB and lots of new people on O, he won't have many chances to show improve, and the coaches may have already moved on.
  23. it's cold and high taxes tho... this makes me wonder, why does he want out of texas? he just hates the corch, or is mad they tagged him? they won't offer him a contract?
  24. ncaa football players should only play for schools which they academically (im willing to flex a tiny bit, but no 3rd grade readers going to Florida State, gotta be 7th grade like everyone else!) qualify. bring back amateurism to college sports and make a dev league for the nfl. you'd still get some smart good athletes out of college, and most of the limb rippers would come from the dev league. people arguing that Kap and the kneelers had a right to do what they did during the anthem ignore the fact that the NFL regulates so many aspects of player lives (and some i think go beyond the pale, like punishing guys for crimes which they did not get convicted for, mainly i have an issue with how nontransparent it all is): you don't get to just do what you want at work. if a player decided to turn his back to the field and throw up a roman salute, or moon the crowd would the support be the same? obviously not. the NFL is getting dangerously close to the NBA in that they have a bit of a star culture (way way less bad than the NBA), and they are doing some really goofy stuff wrt enforcing rules (the NBA allows blatant travelling and cupping the ball if it's done smoothly, the NFL just allows pick plays if they are cleverly run). the worst rule is the defenseless receiver one. let the defender murder the guy as long as he doesn't lead w a head or elbow, or target the head. rod woodson was the greatest DB of all time
  25. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!! you cheeky Kent!
