I agree w the guys saying we need to use him, totally. I just get the feeling we ain't got nothing else as far as guys Josh trusts.

He was awesome, but at times, especially late, Josh was straight forcing the ball to him. He's all we got it seems

allen has definitely missed guys or thrown the odd bad ball. seems to be regressing and to not have the same wide open ability he showed last year. NE smashed us by confusing allen, overwhelming our blockers, and then knocking allen out. we still rushed for a good clip w frank gore barely moving that game tho. I have two problems with Dabol. 1: he chooses not to run the ball, rather than have it shut down. nothing will help a raw qb as much as that 2: he really tries to put a square peg into a round hole. Him rushing gore umpteen times on 3rd/4th and short for nothing, having our barely qualified for an NFL roster WRs running around failing to beat DBs, and having our raw inconsistent QB trying to be tom brady behind our good run and not so good pass blocking line. allen obviously needs to grow up and make the plays that are out there for him, but there is even less evidence that dabol knows what he is doing. i really want him to figure it out and balance the O, but i don't see how anyone can look at this offense and say he's put them in the best position to win.

Steelers Browns: who should get suspended and how long?
colin replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
there is room for flex due to the nfl being just so inconsistent on these things, but i get a sense that the general trend is towards harsher penalties for these kind of infractions. someone, and i think garrett, is gonna get a slap bigger than what those guys did after multiple infractions. -
Anyone else think Bills will dominate on Sunday?
colin replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do think the bills come out hard and fast and run the ball and get disciplined on D and dominate. of course, i know i'm setting myself up for disappointment, but i've been a pretty rabid bills fan for about 30 years, so im good at it! -

my guess is he's out for the rest of the season, potentially more. -
Message from McDermott to team: “Play Fearless”

play FEARLESSLY. im not a fan of how nouns, verbs, and adverbs just all get the same morphology. -
ROCKPILE REIVEW - The Bills Don't Have Quite Enough

the more i read threads like this and the more i go back over the games, the more i am convinced our offensive skill level is pretty friggen low. also -- allen obv has huge short comings, i don't understand how the dumb OC doesn't work with that. he's trying to turn allen into a year 6 tom brady, square peg and round hole. -
100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.

i hear that, but my working assumption is that florio is wrong or talking out of his butt. it's a pretty good model for that guy. -

there is obviously some crusading going on in this thread, and allen clearly has some serious issues to work through, but our weapons are just not good. mackenzie, foster (who just gets no burn and can't adjust to a ball it seems), duke (who didn't make this sorry roster at the start of the season) and robers are just not NFL WRs of any merit. they don't get seperation, don't jump up for contested balls, and don't seem to have any fluid route running ability. our backs have shown not much in the pass game either. we just lack dynamic play making ability. for all his shortcomings, if allen was throwing to the same crew that mayfield was throwing too, i'm pretty sure we'd be putting up a few more points a game. i still can't figure out how this FO didn't attempt to trade for a WR. -

i voted yes in the poll, but reading your posts makes me think you are right and this is just a dog and pony show. sports talk guy clay travis often posts a team will look at an athletes talent vs his baggage. if the value of the talent exceeds the cost of the baggage, there can be a deal to do, if not, no deal. kaep had a good run (ironically, given that roman was the architect for that, and made garbage pail tyrod look like a legit starter, and has jackson just tooling up the nfl right now, i think he's gonna be like kevin gilbride and win chips after we fired him, groan) but then fell apart. he hasn't looked good since, and got benched for frikken blain gabbert. kaep's baggage is huge. it costs viewers/ticket sales for a team employing him, and ill bet is a polarizing factor in the locker room or coaching staff. the simple math is he'd have to really strike a coaching staff as special to be worth the risk. -
the only way we get to double digit wins and the playoffs is if the offense figures out how to be somewhere approaching consistent, which to me means running singletary and not asking our QB, line, and WRs to attempt to do something they just aren't good at. if we fail to make the playoffs, and even if we do but don't really get the offensive ship corrected, i'm 100% certain Daboll get's sent out the door.

Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts
colin replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
looool. they put 8 in the box, we have to throw deep timing routes to beasley vs an over load blitz, IT'S WHAT ANALYTICS TELLS US TO DO! some of the ***** around these dorky takes are just insane. -
he can throw a decent long ball, but he's getting these off because of the misdirection the O is forcing the d into. baltimore is dictating to the D what they are going to do. coward fatbol is just doing whatever the d forces him into.
