I agree with your first paragraph and to your second, I'd say "yes." But why not just let him go? I liked it when the Bills gave Fewell the reins and tested him out. As for Turner, any team that hires him as a head coach is foolish.

At this point, I actually wouldn't have a problem with Wannstedt returning. Needs a LB here or there, and needs to commit to the blitz once in a while (but he has done that, recently). The defense has improved while the offense has regressed. With the exception of LB, this looks like the team I thought we had going in. Solid defense (again with the exception of LB), great running, good receivers and O-line, and a below-average QB.

That was brutal. The guy was almost a Bill, too.

Yep. Not a very good pro football player, and not a very good person. He's young enough that he might be able to fix the second part, but I doubt that he fixes the first. It was a gamble, at an appropriate spot in the draft, that didn't pay off.
