  1. Any word on Polian?
  2. Following in his SoS's footsteps preumably. The President was for taxing 529's before he was opposed to taxing 529's before he was in favor of it.
  3. We all know what Shelly Silver's opinion is on that one.
  4. Could have applications in many other fields as well. Pretty much anywhere proteins are used. Would be useful in clothes' dyeing, perhaps catalytic reactions, perhaps oled production, a whole slew of things.
  5. 2 quibbles. 1 - this is the 1st hire under new ownership and it was accomplished very differently than hires by the last guy. 2 - The K-Gun was Marchibroda, not Levy. Levy was 'ground Marv' prior to the playoff game in Cleveland.
  6. It appears to be a pretty simple, the Earth is ~6.5B years old, if each year could be the hottest, then the odds of hitting the last 10 as the hottest is 650MM to 1. (That's realistic, right? And excellent usage of statistics. ) Kind of disappointed they didn't use the universe's age of ~15B for their basis. The odds of this are 1.5 BILLION to 1!!! There is clearly no possible way for this to NOT be a man-induced phenomenon. But in fairness to the guy that came up w/ it, pretty sure he'd told the paper their premise was flawed but these are the #'s that result.
  7. So close to a haiku. I didn't do it You can't prove anything now I wasn't there then
  8. More like he's the Nixon of head coaches.
  9. Wait a second, did you get a 1st date? Please tell me watching your 'date' describe her naughty bits in front of 300 people (1 of whom was your buddy w/ no voice modulation) wasn't your 1st date. She sounds like she might've been a keeper.
  10. Good list. 1 addition was him stating that he's been involved with record setting 3-4's and also record setting 4-3's implying he'll put these guys in whatever formation best fits the personel & opponent.
  11. You'd have to ask somebody in Albany that Q. HOW they come to the expectation you'd be expected to pay, not sure; THAT they'd expect you to pay is absolutely the case.
  12. Now you're just being daft. EVERYBODY knows he meant atmospheric diamonds cause global warming and the reason is that they act like magnifying glasses in the bright sunlight spreading the heat widely just like a little kid uses one to spread () light and burn ants. Those atmospheric diamonds can also be collected by the IRS and the proceeds of selling them can be used to pay for FREE community college for all.
  13. Merry Christmas. Have a Happy New Year.
  14. The D, STs, and a (small) portion of the O are absolutely playoff caliber. The QB and G's are borderline 2nd stringers. Other O positions could use upgrades as well. That, a playoff caliber team does not make. Unfortunately.
  15. You do realize that these 2 were in a supposedly civil place, not a war zone, right? How do you let 4 planes get overtaken by terrorists right in the middle of the normal morning flights? You have any idea how much energy it takes to assume every person walking up to you wants to kill you? Are cops now to be expected to wonder if a kid walking up to them is wearing a suicide vest? That'd likely be the level of vigilence they'd need to not get ambushed. Hopefully this doesn't get repeated, but if cops are now expecting the worst at all times, it won't improve community relations any. And there will be additional shootings by cops as the expected probability of the guy 'acting funny' being a lethal threat has now increased.
  16. If they're constantly blacking out home games that wouldn't improve the value of the TV rights. I know the FCC changed that rule, but I haven't seen the NFL modify it yet. After the novelty wears off, in stadium attendance will likely be an issue.
  17. They said Chrebet joined their Wall of Fame tonight.
  18. Greg, Why do you hate blue people?
  19. I'm ok w/ keeping Marrone as long as Hackett is gone. If Marrone wants Nate back, bye, bye boys. I don't see the new owner being insistent on keeping coaching costs under some imaginary Mendoza line, so there is no reason to stick w/ Nate IMHO. Let Marrone have input, just don't waste this D w/ this horrible offensive playcalling.
  20. Following is a legit question and is not meant to disparage / offend in any way. Does anybody know why it's 'Kelly Tough' and not 'Kelly Strong,' 'Kelly Persevere,' 'Kelly Courage,' or the like? It just seems strange to use the name of an early '80's Playmate.
  21. I'd be surprised if he'd actually veto it. I'd more expect Harry to play around w/ the timing so the President just wouldn't have time to sign it, and gosh darn it, he reeeeaaaaly wanted to but just couldn't find his signing pen in time. Those darn obstructionist Republicans hiding his pen and thwarting the will of the people. That's what PPP stands for, right?
  22. More likely it dies via a pocket veto if it passes the Senate. After Mary is on record as being in favor of Keystone, then the President can do Harry's normal dirty work of letting stuff die. (Assuming it gets through the Senate.)
