  1. The D, STs, and a (small) portion of the O are absolutely playoff caliber. The QB and G's are borderline 2nd stringers. Other O positions could use upgrades as well. That, a playoff caliber team does not make. Unfortunately.
  2. You do realize that these 2 were in a supposedly civil place, not a war zone, right? How do you let 4 planes get overtaken by terrorists right in the middle of the normal morning flights? You have any idea how much energy it takes to assume every person walking up to you wants to kill you? Are cops now to be expected to wonder if a kid walking up to them is wearing a suicide vest? That'd likely be the level of vigilence they'd need to not get ambushed. Hopefully this doesn't get repeated, but if cops are now expecting the worst at all times, it won't improve community relations any. And there will be additional shootings by cops as the expected probability of the guy 'acting funny' being a lethal threat has now increased.
  3. If they're constantly blacking out home games that wouldn't improve the value of the TV rights. I know the FCC changed that rule, but I haven't seen the NFL modify it yet. After the novelty wears off, in stadium attendance will likely be an issue.
  4. They said Chrebet joined their Wall of Fame tonight.
  5. Greg, Why do you hate blue people?
  6. I'm ok w/ keeping Marrone as long as Hackett is gone. If Marrone wants Nate back, bye, bye boys. I don't see the new owner being insistent on keeping coaching costs under some imaginary Mendoza line, so there is no reason to stick w/ Nate IMHO. Let Marrone have input, just don't waste this D w/ this horrible offensive playcalling.
  7. Following is a legit question and is not meant to disparage / offend in any way. Does anybody know why it's 'Kelly Tough' and not 'Kelly Strong,' 'Kelly Persevere,' 'Kelly Courage,' or the like? It just seems strange to use the name of an early '80's Playmate.
  8. I'd be surprised if he'd actually veto it. I'd more expect Harry to play around w/ the timing so the President just wouldn't have time to sign it, and gosh darn it, he reeeeaaaaly wanted to but just couldn't find his signing pen in time. Those darn obstructionist Republicans hiding his pen and thwarting the will of the people. That's what PPP stands for, right?
  9. More likely it dies via a pocket veto if it passes the Senate. After Mary is on record as being in favor of Keystone, then the President can do Harry's normal dirty work of letting stuff die. (Assuming it gets through the Senate.)
  10. Awful news. Will definitely keep you and yours in our prayers.
  11. D*mn, on 1st reading thought you said "retatta" instead of "ricotta."
  12. Week 8 - Bills @ Jets Loss Week 10 - KC @ Buff Win Week 11 - Bills @ Fish Win Week 12 - Jets @ Bills Win Week 13 - Browns @ Bills Win Week 14 - Bills @ Denver Loss Week 15 - Packers @ Bills Loss Week 16 - Bills @ Oakland Win Week 17 - Bills at NE* Loss 9-7.
  13. IF Reich came to the Bills would the OL coach tag along? I'm good w/ bringing in the comeback kid if he does.
  14. The game on the 14th could be the 1st salvo in the race for McEichel. Won't be good hockey, but there will be a lot on the line and it could be entertaining.
  15. Yup. How sad that it took almost a decade to top that one in terms of importance.
  16. With any luck it'll be at least the size of a beachball.
  17. If the Bills win this Sunday, and that's definitely possible, the goal & target becomes the division. Cheatriots don't play Houston this year; that game doesn't hurt. Stealing 2 w's on the shores of Great Lakes will be a lot more important in the grand scheme.
  18. Know w/ 100% certainty? Don't. Know w/ reasonable (90%+) certainty? Based on the way they posted and interacted and then completely disappeared for years, pretty certain.
  19. Over here 0 on ignore. On SS, a handful, but all but 1 or 2 have since been banned. Don't believe I've ever had more than 2 active posters on ignore at any time.
  20. You need to create a separate account over there to post; your TBD account won't work. If that's not your problem, I'd suggest you go to the 'customer service' page on this site and let them know what issues you're having and what steps you've tried to solve it. Good luck w/ it.
  21. While I'm not ready to give up on Manuel, I didn't see any way he'd win this coming week in Detroit sfter the stinker in Houston. Orton probably can't either, but at least there's a shot. (Neglecting 1st start jinx.) Either way, what gives them the best chance of winning against the Cheatriots: EJ coming in on a 3 game L streak or Orton after 1 week of playing for real w/ this offense? This division is too weak for the Bills not to take their best shot at winning it. EJ has the higher ceiling, but Orton is almost definitely better today. Especially w/ the guard play they've had to date, I doubt this is the last we've seen of EJ. Though, if he stays healthy, Orton is the guy this year until they're eliminated.
  22. Well considering just about ALL Bills QB's lose their very 1st start w/ a buffalo on the helmet, better to get it out of the way in a game they're expected to lose rather than at home vs the Cheatriots. Would be cool if the guy from Purdue can break the 1st start jinx.
