Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Taro T replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And if she didn't get a tangible advantage for it with her bar registration, she had the intangible advantage of not raising any red flags as to why she'd claimed Native American status on other applications where she did gain advantage. -

Um, just guessing here, but that would make her both female AND a minority which would definitely give her an edge when it comes to getting government work & also would be viewed favorably on many RFP's. (Probably even a good thing for a lawyer. Definitely would be beneficial in other areas either as a worker bee or a business owner.). Could see where somebody trying to qualify themselves a a WBE or a MBE would like to have a woman or a minority taking care of the paperwork for them. -
Probably not a coincidence that his screen name's initials are the same as BowelMovement's would be.
-
For that kind of cake, shouldn't they get her spleen & for more than a few minutes?
-
Absolutely. But not even remotely an optimal area for them. Almost as stupid as the Germans trying to use solar as a major component of their entire power generation.
-
Really? How do you explain a large solar farm just outside Batavia, NY?.

You think a guy that looks to be 110 could out perform Perot as a 3rd party candidate? If he did run as an Independent, he'd nearly guarantee a Trump 2nd term. -
Not really seeing how having 270 miles or so of desert patrolled by dogs, especially dogs not accompanied directly by handlers (which is what your original post implied, if that wasn't your intention, my bad), both keeps a trafficker from completing his objective and remains "cheap."
-
While patrol dogs could be part of a comprehensive plan, pretty sure that human traffickers get significantly more than 10 years when caught. Also, believe major narcotics trafficking sentences are significantly greater than 10 years. How does the possibility of 10 years added on to a sentence keep the dogs alive past their 1st encounter with a really bad guy?

Those urging the pinheads on are counting on it.

Pretty sure Berkeley's in on it. What, you thought it was just a coincidence Bloom County was revived (ON-LINE primarily On FACEBOOK omg!) after a roughly 1/4 century absence when Trump annonced he was running for President?. Wake up Sheeple!

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Taro T replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Completely believable. And really, expectable, as well. -
Not only that, but later, after a tragic yacht accident a certain billionaire's brain was placed in Bill the Cat's body. The billionaire's brain was placed in an ORANGE CAT! (TOTALLY changes the meaning of the phrase 'grab 'em by the p###y.')
-
The support for it was there, but attention spans are short. They really tried to keep the focus on their key point. Didn't really seem to hurt them much at the polls as they did as well in the EC as expected. (And when viewed versus expectations they performed FAR better than Clinton.)
-
And it is such a critical point that Bill the Cat & Opus the Penguin ran with that as their central plank of the Meadow Party's Presidential campaign. "2 Spaces for America."
-
At this point, the truth sadly doesn't really matter. I've got several rather intelligent friends that bring themselves to a lather discussing Trump's "obvious" treasons. If the smart people bought in hook, line, & sinker, really not sure how this doesn't end up in a shooting war here. Really hope Mueller is above board, because his giving a true & complete accounting (whatever that is) is the only way we might avoid a shooting war.

If that story is true, that is some mindnumbing stupidity on the part of the coach & her cronies. Flat out can't fathom how somebody can be that hateful & spiteful simply because of how somebody else looks. And how can the other teammates support the fired coach that unwaveringly? Unreal. -
FTFY.

You have it backwards. Journalists, for the most part, used to be reporters. Now, reporters seem to be very few and far between. We need some good old fashioned reporters again who simply REPORT the facts as completely as they can and leave it to the reader (or listener or viewer) to interpret those facts. We don't need them to select how to best support the narrative of their journal. Missing the days when "yellow journalism" was a bad thing.

26 got a time out? WTF did he do?

Hadn't watched the video before, had just seen the screen capture of her with the bottle in her mouth. Surprised nobody's given her flack for the little 'how' hand sign she gives after the 1st sip. Quite the Dukakis moment. Has a presidential bid ever imploded like this in the very 1st week?

Right. Justin Trudeau. -
That Chuck Ross thread is amazing. Rather that say, oops, guess we were wrong, turns out he was planning on going to visit our deployed troops; they double down with he only went because we criticised him & therefore we were right. Sure would be nice if the majority of the profession went back to being "reporters" rather than "journalists." Not holding my breath waiting for that.

And there are allegations that there was a quid pro quo between donors and Hillary Clinton's actions as well.
