The Deep State War Heats Up
Taro T replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If Suleimani has been dead for years, why would Iran go along with what would have to be the US charade of having killed him a couple of days ago? That doesn't make sense from here in the cheap seats. PS - thank you again for all the info you've brought here about everything related to FISAgate & Epstein. You were way ahead of the pack on those. -
Self proclaimed socialite you say? With no real ties to your office nor your crew? Pretty sure the right way of dealing with her is shiv the mofo.
-
How did this start? Was she a client and got chummy with the secretaries? Is she related to one of them or past teacher / hair stylist of theirs? How long has this behavior gone on? The answers to those might alter / adjust where your approach to addressing the issue ends up between grinning and bearing it to shivving the mofo.

Did he actually say he'd target "cultural heritage sites" or "sites important to Iranian culture?" They might be the same thing, but don't see why they are necessarily conflated.

In Memoriam: "I'm Just a Bill" singer
Taro T replied to SinceThe70s's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Bummer. He also was the singer on one of the other absolutely best Schoolhouse Rock songs: "Conjunction Junction." https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ODGA7ssL-6g RIP. Big part of my childhood croaked last week. -
NFL Attendance Hits a 15-Year Low
Taro T replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In general, the Skins fans having a horrible product to watch for almost all of Snyder's tenure don't help overall trends (the article said they sell less than 80% of all the seats), but the article also said this year the Skins had the largest %age increase in the league - 7.3%, followed by the Bills who were up 6%. The Skins attendance woes didn't contribute to this season's decline. -
But those prophets that said 45 would get us into a shooting war in another country have FINALLY been proven right as he approved drone strikes in Baghdad, Iran. Wait, that's still in Iraq? We launched drones in Iraq, in retaliation to attacks on our embassy there and hopefully to preventatively stop further attacks there? But, now we're in a war IN Iran, darn it. Orange man bad!

Well, if the guy who is wrong about every single move over in that theater thinks this is going to force as escallation; maybe it will get the Iranians to think twice about escallation.

2020 WC Weekend - around the league
Taro T replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Might have just mentioned that because he maybe he thought casual fans had forgotten that Wentz' season ended earlier than the Iggles season did the last 2 years; so though he's hung out on the sideline in the playoffs frequently, he's never actually participated beyond that. -
Ours is a Nighthawk X8 (R8500) and have never had an issue with it and oftentimes have had 2 gamers and 2 Amazon Prime streams running simultaneously on 2 different floors. Probably a few other devices also running simultaneously with that. House is small but with a fair amount of land, and have picked up a strong signal a good 300' outside the house.

Nah. Al Michaels pretty much is a muppet. Watching him interact with his own would be awesome. -

Merry Christmas to all (well, except JA's 4th and 5th aliases, but definitely to even the 1st 3 of them). Aw, heck, it's Christmas; Merry Christmas everyone!

If the homeless in SF had the means and the gumption to make it to NEF they'd probably be able to afford a studio appt. outside the city limits. Could maybe even afford TP, though that might not fit with the bohemian lifestyle.

Well, yeah, that aisle is the ladies room. Rumor has it, they normally stay nicer than the mens room. Not sure which aisle is the any gender you choose today restroom. Maybe aisle 8?

F###ing selfish a-holes. That conductor will now have to live with this though it wasn't his (or her) fault.

Jack hole, had your syphocantic media and polsters not told the world that Clinton was crushing 45, the cowardly and apparently dumber than an FBI Director would be expected to be Comey would not have made the new e-mail transgressions public prior to the election. But, he figured that she was so far ahead that getting that #### up on her part out in public before the election would allow her to not be bothered with answering about it after she'd been crowned. Turns out, she wasn't. And only a pinhead would believe that people waited until November of '16 to make up their mind about what kind of a person Hillary was and what kind of a leader she would be. She quite likely was the ONLY "legitimate" candidate in the history of this country who could've lost to the main character on "The Apprentice.". He was arguably the worst candidate in our history. But, clearly he was at worst the 2nd worst. Congrats on worshiping THE worst.

His trolling the teenager is par for the course. He trolls everybody that pushes agendas he doesn't agree with. It is nothing to celebrate, but at this point it is pretty much standard fare. But, you seem to be the one trying to take away her right to be on the stage for being a teen. Yes, children should be "off-limits" from harassment in the spotlight (such as Amy Carter, Chelsea Clinton, the Bush twins, 44's daughters, and 45's youngest son should have been/ be off-limits while their dad's were in the WH), but when they willfully put themselves in the spotlight like any other adult participant then they open themselves up to the same criticisms the adults get. And sometimes those criticisms come from top tier twitter trolls. If she and, more importantly, her parents didn't want her to face that criticism, they could have kept her off the podium. They and she chose this battle. Or do you say only they chose it and she didn't have a choice or a voice in that decision? -
Your continued stating a crime was committed does not make it so. The committing of a crime to obstruct the investigation into an accusation that has now been proven not to have occurred in 2-4 forums (whether you include the House and Senate investigations that were run under Republican leadership will effect whether you count them as 2 or 4 investigations) has been alleged but not proven.
-
The point he's being making which you seem to not be grasping is that because people (even orange ones) start out with a presumption of innocence when an investigator says there isn't enough evidence to suggest they are guilty of something, then they are (barring some new evidence coming out, and after a 2 year investigation which even had access to evidence collected by what certainly now appears to be illegal surveillance, how much new factual evidence could ever be found?) innocent. Which covers volume 1. If the investigator says crimes possibly were committed, then they may or may not have been. But without a trial where the defendant gets to present evidence that supports his case that he is innocent, all that is is an accusation. Guilt isn't proven merely by the accusation (at least in this country at least up through today), but through a hearing of all the evidence. And, where it seems you take exception, the Special Council's Boss, the Attorney General, looked at the evidence the SC came up with about possible obstruction of justice and decided there wasn't enough evidence to even bother with further proceedings. And considering several of even those potential examples of obstruction include thought crimes (well he wanted to fire Mueller, but he didn't) which aren't illegal in this country (at present) and as we now know (courtesy of Mr. Horowitz and Mr Mueller) that there wasn't a crime to be obstructing the investigation of; it seems rather flimsy to even say he isn't innocent of that as well. So, it seems the AG made the correct call on that. You seem to disagree with that. It isn't that those results break DR's way (and he's been consistent all along that he's interested in the truth) it's that those happen to break the way our legal system has been set up. Unless you are proven guilty, then you are innocent. And saying obstruction might have occurred is not the same as proving it has.
