  1. Huh? So, if the Europeans won't stop being mean about them violating the Non-proliferation Treaty then they'll stop pretending to adhere to the NNP Treaty and simply violate that? What, did somebody tell the Mullahs that Kerry'll start negotiating for the Euros?
  2. Actually, though teams traditionally have chosen to keep 14F and 7D on their roster, a lot of teams have been switching to 13/8 because it makes it a lot more sense to run 8 D in practice (having a pair running through drills and another ready to run at each end and only having to roll 1 spare F through the lines) than to only have 7 and either mix & match pairs w/ 2 Fs to roll through the 4 lines or slide a F back onto a pairing. It is unusual though to have the 7 & 8 NHL caliber D men in/ close to their prime rather than guys that are either tweeners or long in the tooth on the back side of their career. (Yeah, Bogo kind of fits that latter description but he is still on his 1st non-ELC/bridge contract.)
  3. So they decided they couldn't name it the Jim Accosta Corageously Talking Back to Power Award AND give it to him in the same year? Really can't see these bubble dwelling bone heads giving this award to anyone else. SMH
  4. Tibs, how are the Congressional district boundaries from 2016 going to be ANY different in 2020? Or have that many NYer and Californicators moved to red districts in other states in the past 3 or so years to keep the HoR's D-majority? Please, do tell. Apologies to those that have Tibs on ignore, but just HAD to ask him how the #### he thinks this works.
  5. Where's the FU smiley when you really need it? (Not for you, but Chuckie Schumer and his sycophant Gillibrand for voting 'no' on this.)
  6. My bad. Didn't know him particularly well as had just found this board fairly recently before he did that horrible deed. He seemed like a good guy; clearly that was a poor judgment. Thanks for the clarification.
  7. Yeah, there was a guy that killed his family and then himself. (Pretty sure that was Thailog.)
  8. Pretty sure his contract ran through next season. Which makes his departure perfect for Seattle to snag him if they want. Could probably even give him some sort of "consultant" title to keep Vegas on the hook for as many $'a as possible.
  9. Considering how well the Bills last game in London went, am not a fan. It had better be the Fish's home game, not the Bills' home game that gets moved if it happens.
  10. Bummer. That didn't take long. Was hoping he'd stay at LSU. Must've had the proverbial Brinks truck backed up to his doorway.
  11. Yup. Hockey 101. 1st forechecker takes the man. 2nd forechecker takes the puck.
  12. You sure he wrote it himself? Nobody knows what Greta's dad was up to before she hit the big time; maybe that was his old gig.
  13. Bummer. RIP
  14. One with the Force or one with the Farce?
  15. Pretty sure we both appreciate Ristolainen. Not suggesting he get traded unless it is a true 2C in his prime or approaching it that's coming back in the package for him. Am probably a bit more willing to trade him that you because IMHO he doesn't work well with Dahlin and probably as early as next season Dahlin will start to be the work horse and that puts Risto as 2nd pairing not just in skill set where he's always been but in actual usage and well. And with them having a glut of 2nd pairing D (Jokiharju, Montour, McCabe, and possibly Pilut) not to mention a 5 in Miller, am willing to part with their 3rd best D for that elusive 2 C. Plus, one thing Botterill knows how to find are good D-men. Pretty sure he won't strip the D down too much. Not nearly as confident in him finding a diamond in the rough at F without giving a real package going out the door. Either way, it's probably moot as really doubt that Botterill will make a big move this season. Hoping to be wrong on that.
  16. Thing is, except for Dahlin, who is one of only 2 true untouchables, there is no other D-man that will bring back as much as Ristolainen would IMHO. Can see him not being moved, but can't see them getting a true #2C without moving him as part of the package unless Mittelstadt or Cozens grow into that role and both are at least 2 seasons away from being ready for it.
  17. Would absolutely like to see some of the D depth moved for improvements to the 2nd line (ideally a true 2C so Johansson could slide to either 2RW or 3C where he fits more naturally. But, whether Ristolainen is a part of that package or Montour or even somebody else; the Sabres will lose one of Risto, Montour, or Pilut in the expansion draft. They won't only protect 8 skaters, and their D is way deeper than their forwards are, so their 4th best D-man will be lost.
  18. Montour likely fits in the plans for the next 3-5 years as well. Dahlin and Jokiharju will almost definitely be protected in the Seattle draft, but who the 3rd protected player will be isn't clear. My best guess is Montour, butcould easily see either Pilut or Ristolainen protected. They'll lose 1 of those 3 but should have enough around that so the loss of 1 D-man won't be devastating. Agree on the forwards. They need at least 1 more top 6 guy and really hope Botterill isn't waiting for one of Mittelstadt, Thompson, or Cozens to step up into that role.
  19. Haven't heard anything about his play other than the couple of assists last week and then the 3 game goal streak. So no idea how the rest of his game is looking, but at least he's getting his confidence back which is a good 1st step in the right direction.
  20. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Pilut ends up in the lineup and Bogosian is back as the 8 with Miller getting into the 11/7 lineups when all 8 are healthy. Having 8 D up with the big squad makes it easier to run drills in practice. And leaves only 1 F trying to work through a line as well.
  21. All of that makes sense and thanks again for the heads up on the GCC info which has pretty much been completely ignored by MSM. But it still doesn't make sense why the mullahs would admit he's just been killed if he was really killed 2-3 years ago. Wouldn't they gain credibility towards calling the US liars if they said we were full of #### and dared us to show the body (which wouldn't be there if he was killed years ago)? On a certain level it makes sense the US would want to wait until now to claim to have killed him. It projects to the populace of the Arab/Muslim (realizing Iranians aren't Arabs) world that acts of aggression like trying to storm our embassy will be dealt with severely and power/ force is what seems to get people's attention over there. But why would the Iranians go along with it? Unless there was something like video of him cowering/ begging for his life when he was killed, just don't see why they'd confirm the story.
  22. If Suleimani has been dead for years, why would Iran go along with what would have to be the US charade of having killed him a couple of days ago? That doesn't make sense from here in the cheap seats. PS - thank you again for all the info you've brought here about everything related to FISAgate & Epstein. You were way ahead of the pack on those.
  23. Self proclaimed socialite you say? With no real ties to your office nor your crew? Pretty sure the right way of dealing with her is shiv the mofo.
  24. How did this start? Was she a client and got chummy with the secretaries? Is she related to one of them or past teacher / hair stylist of theirs? How long has this behavior gone on? The answers to those might alter / adjust where your approach to addressing the issue ends up between grinning and bearing it to shivving the mofo.
