It has been a long time coming but the USA Men's National soccer team defeated the Italian team by a 1--0 score. Clint Dempsey scored the US goal.

"Do you believe in miracles ? YES " USA defeats the Soviet Union hockey team in one of the greatest (IMHO) upsets in all of sports. USA goes up 4--3 with 10 minutes to go and that must have been the longest 10 minutes of hockey I have ever seen.

My birthday is March 8. In the fall of 1971, when I would have been involved in this 'lottery' I was in college. In the dorm, we had a $$ pool and the closest guy won the $$. Ball #1 was March 6 (whew, close) Ball #2 was March 7...I am thinking there is no way that March 8 will be #3. And it wasn't, it was 158 or so. The guy who won the jackpot had a March 6 birthday but never got drafted. Funny how this kind of stuff is remembered.

The local water company and sanitation company each want a $3 'convenience' fee if I pay on-line. When my bill is approx. $15 for each, I don't think so. Now that Mrs. Lew and I are empty nesters our H2O bill has drastically reduced. I'll keep sending the checks

My Son in law was amazed at the Kindle. We downloaded a book and it took all of 18 seconds. He liked the enclosed dictionary. Mrs. Lew had mentioned wanting to get a couple of books. When I received the Kindle, I went to the "Store" and downloaded them before I wrapped it. Shw was very pleased.

I got Mrs. Lew a Kindle Touch for Christmas. It is a LOT easier to read than a computer screen and the portability factor is great. Having an Amazon account helps with the purchase. When I got the Kindle it was already personalized with my name on it. Downloading books is simple, Trust me, even I can do this.

Vinny Curry plays for Marshall. He is a great defensive player. Also watch Aaron Dobson (#3) WR for Marshall. This is 'homecoming' type of game as 25 players on the Marshall roster are from Florida. GO HERD !!!

After wearing the shoes to bed , this issue has been an non-issue for me. I had a great refereeing season (50 matches) and the PF issue has not occurred. Hope you are doing better and can get back to your jogging / running regime.
