  1. It will always stick in my craw as a huge missed opportunity to really push Buffalo to a new level. I guess in this case status quo isnt a horrible alternative. But still...
  2. I get the comparisons. I just wanted to dig on the Pats. Cousins, RG3, Flutie, and even Johnson were all far better QBs than Zappe or McCorkle. This may be one of the least talented QB controversies the NFL has seen. Couldnt happen to a better team.
  3. Except with 2 far less talented QBs
  4. We can make no moves, spend no draft picks, and still get to add an All-Pro CB who is already under a long term team-friendly deal with Tre White coming back soon. Brandon Beane is the man.
  5. We may have too many in-conference wins to make the playoffs if we keep going at this rate. Would be best to beat the Pack but then lose to the Jets if we really want a chance. If Jets take the AFC East, I can agree it will be Bills/Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
  6. Chiefs get a speedy WR? Dang, the Bills should add a DB in order to keep up in the arms race. Oh wait. We have an All-Pro CB being added to our 5-1, #1D next week. And he's already on a long term team friendly deal. And he knows the defense. And we dont have to spend a bunch of picks to get him. Master Team Building by Brandon Beane.
  7. Also, Pats win because another win is meaningless in their standing, but a Jets loss gives us some breathing room on 1st place.
  8. Watching him from his baby swing.
  9. The Edmunds situation is the toughest one to figure out for us fans. He's finally performing like the LB we've all been waiting to see. However, he will be able to command likely $18M-20M/yr average on a new contract in Free Agency. Would Tremaine be willing to take less to stay in Buffalo? (all other draft picks we have re-signed have inked very team-friendly deals. White, Milano, Dawkins, Taron, Knox, even Josh) How much would Beane be willing to spend at the position that is so important to McD's defense? How much of this improved Tremaine is directly due to the improved DL in front of him? And if that is the case, does it make replacing him without much drop off even easier? The good news is: I totally trust Beane. He has a plan and knows what he is doing. So if Edmunds ultimately walks, so be it. And if Beane decides to sign him at $25M/year, then I'll roll with that too.
  10. Josh makes THEM the punk B word!
  11. Mac Jones is a punk B word and learned this dirty move from the ultimate punk B word, Tom Brady. Know who isnt a punk B word? JOSH ***** ALLEN Josh runs over dudes, jumps over dudes, or stiff arms them into the ground. You will never see him pull a B word move like this.
  12. Side note: Can you imagine what this season would look like if we had Tre and Hyde healthy through the entire thing?!? No way we don't end up 20-0, right?
  13. Yeah, I deleted my post entirely, lol. He's still listed on PUP on the Bills site so I guess nothing has really changed yet.
  14. McVay was young, but he never coached college. He was tied to Kyle Shanahan's offense (father, HC Mike Shanahan). And it should not be forgotten that Sean McVay's grandfather was Jack McVay, Head Coach of the Giants in the 70s, and GM for the 49ers through the 5 Super Bowl run in the 80s-90s. So yes, lots of nepotism. The issue being that nepotism rooted in a time when the league was only hiring white coaches. This is how systemic racism gains and keeps momentum. To many outside observers taking things at face-value today, you could certainly say "This is merely nepotism!". And that is mostly true. But like it or not, those strings of nepotism go all the way back to times of racist hiring. So still racism at the core of the problem.
  15. The Peter Principle: People in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent.
  16. And 5 of the 8 came from the Sean McVay "inner-circle" of frat boys. 🤣
  17. I tend to agree more with LDD that this is the monster the NFL has created, but for different reasons. By being such media whores and wanting to dominate the air waves always being on TV or Radio, or social media. By being so shady in their league office practices. And by having seemingly zero accountability for poor officiating. I dont think they should try to restrict any and all player/ref contact. But they shouldnt be surprised if/when a "story" like this catches fire. I'm sure Roger appreciates the clicks and isnt losing sleep over it.
  18. Sure, technically it is more a nepotism issue nowadays than someone in a 2022 NFL Front Office saying "No Blacks". However, for a loooong time the NFL avoided hiring black coaches. And now, we have a nepotism issue where teams favor hiring the sons/grandsons of coaches from when they DID say "No Blacks". So guess who isnt included in those nepotism hires? Outside races. So it is indirectly and inadvertently a race issue. Nuance.
  19. This makes more sense. All I need to hear is that the ref went to A&M. THAT is already a bigger conflict of interest than asking for an autograph considering how tight that Aggie Alumni network stays. It makes absolute sense why those two would be talking and chumming it up. Much ado about nothing. edit: Some of my favorite comments: "He probably asking Evans to sign the petition to get Jimbo fired" "Tampa receivers already planning for the offseason" 🤣
  20. That has way more to do with losing Davante Adams than losing Nate Hackett.
  21. It's silly to think he had anything to do with that offense, and that it wasnt completely Rodgers and LaFleur. Exactly the type of thinking that puts an incompetent person into a high profile HC job.
  22. You nailed it. He failed his way up based solely on who his daddy was. And his daddy was a crappy coach too!
